This is a work-from-office / In-Office role based in our Hyderabad, India location.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and work on the development of our SaaS product. In this role, you will lead the development of new features, improve system architecture, and ensure the scalability and reliability of our cloud-based software. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software and contribute to the continuous improvement of the product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and Design Software Solutions: Contribute towards design and architecture of new features for our SaaS product. Ensure that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and meet customer needs.
- Develop & Implement Features: Build and maintain robust and high-performing software solutions for our SaaS platform, writing clean, efficient, and testable code.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement product features, ensuring that business requirements and customer needs are met.
- Optimize and Scale: Continuously improve application performance and scalability, focusing on optimizing cloud-based resources and database performance.
- Maintain Code Quality: Write unit and integration tests, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on engineering best practices.
- Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, helping them grow their skills and achieve their career goals.
- Troubleshoot and Debug: Investigate and resolve software issues, working with the support team to fix bugs and improve the overall user experience.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure the SaaS product complies with security best practices and regulatory standards. Implement security features to protect user data and sensitive information.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends, and incorporate modern practices into the development process. Participate in the iterative process of refining and evolving the product.
- Documentation: Produce clear technical documentation to support the development, deployment, and maintenance of software systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven Experience: At least 8+ years of professional experience in software development, with significant experience working on SaaS products or cloud-based platforms.
- Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in languages commonly used for SaaS development (e.g., Golang, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Scala, Java).
- Cloud Platforms: Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, or Google Cloud, and an understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, and containerization..
- Database Management: Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and experience with database optimization.
- DevOps and CI/CD: Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub).
- Version Control: Proficiency with version control tools like Git.
- Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- SaaS Experience: Experience building, maintaining, and scaling SaaS applications, particularly in high-availability and high-traffic environments.
- Microservices Architecture: Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud-native application patterns.
- Test Automation: Experience with test automation frameworks and practices.
- Security: Understanding of web application security, data encryption, and secure coding practices.

The Opportunity:
Plume is hiring a security engineer to join the security engineering team to help protect and drive the Plume mission. As a highly visible and dynamic organization, we must value and guard against damage to our internal information, our platforms, and our reputation and brand. Finally, it is paramount that we defend against loss of control or confidence in our systems, to guarantee the highest probability of success.
As a Sr. Security Engineer, you will focus on the technologies that ensure our networks and systems are up to industry and Plume security standards. This role will partner with various application development and stakeholder groups across Plume to ensure that the technologies and systems we build in-house or purchase and deploy in-house are designed and maintained in a secure way that minimizes risk.
What you will do:
- Drive delivery of innovative security and privacy preserving solutions tightly integrated into our software development, data engineering and business intelligence lifecycle.
- Build tools and processes which measure and assist engineering teams to create software with security and privacy by design principles
- Develops security policies, procedures, and guidelines and recommends necessary changes to a given project team to ensure the company’s systems are fully compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements and privacy laws.
- Serving as an advisor to engineering and development teams in security best practices and design.
- Leads security-related projects from inception to successful completion and is capable of effectively coaching technology staff on appropriate security protocols and needs as they implement new technology into the organisation.
- Cloud deployments require security policy enforcement, centralized configuration management, monitoring, etc.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for security solutions, maintaining documentation on them and advising others on their underlying technologies and operation.
- Work with security and IT teams to identify threats and problem areas and create stronger and safer software and application deployments across Plume, measuring decreased risk and prevalence of issues.
- Prepare security assessment reports, including third-party background, security assessment scope, and results
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in security engineering with a education in security engineering, cyber security, computer science, engineering, math, or other STEM discipline;
- Experience with software coding in Python, Shell, Go, Javascript, and/or ability to understand code/APIs for SaaS products.
- You know industry best practices for security and privacy by design, such as secure software principles, threat modelling, and pentesting.
- Knowledge of public cloud architectures, such as AWS, cryptography, and cryptographic best practices.
- Strong communication, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work unsupervised, exercise leadership, and influence change.
- You operate effectively across teams and disciplines even in highly ambiguous situations with a rack record of getting things done quickly and with quality
- Experience with security framework policies, processes and controls; such as: ISO27001, ISO27701, SOC2, NIST CSF, CIS, is a plus
- Certifications such as CISSP, AWS, CIPP, CIPPT, etc is a plus

Job Summary
Seeking an experienced, energetic and collaborative Engineering Program Manager to define and drive product success for our cloud based service platform.
They will be able to lead multiple simultaneous projects or programs that are complex and are able to develop recovery strategies for those that stray from their plan while being part of the collaborative, and fun loving team at a rapidly growing organization.
Plume develops and deploys cloud based control planes with scale to manage 10’s of millions of customer homes through some of the world’s largest ISPs. Plume cloud applications include WiFi network management and optimization, device access control, network provisioning and end customer user interaction through mobile apps. Our focus is on the home market and we support B2B and B2C product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain the project plan including scope, schedule and risk management
- Drive execution and demonstrate end to end ownership of complex, technical programs to successful completion
- Drive deep collaboration across a network of critical dependencies
- Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies and program issues quickly and efficiently
- Lead cross functional project meetings and milestone reviews
- Deliver executive communication and drive the decision-making process
- Manage stakeholder and team communications and updates
- Develop roadmaps and development milestones for projects based on input from Product teams
- Monitor progress to plan and design a recovery strategy if project deviates from baseline plan
Minimum Qualifications
- BS degree (or relevant/industry standard experience to match) with 10+ years of experience
- Experience working in rapidly growing organizations
- Must have strong technical background and Hands on experience in software development. Strong preference for candidate transitioned from lead development into Program Management
- Lead end-to-end program execution for initiatives such as feature development, interoperability, performance optimization, certification. working closely with firmware, driver, hardware, QA, and product teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Must have prior experience working in the Wi-Fi domain and be able to understand and engage in technical discussions related to Wi-Fi protocols, features, performance issues, and firmware architecture. Ability to work closely with firmware teams on architecture, release planning, dependency management, defect triage, and risk mitigation is essential.
- Able to think strategically and tactically and to build consensus to make programs successful
- Demonstrable ability to think outside the box to resolve technical issues and resource conflicts
- Thorough knowledge of software engineering principles and agile methodologies
- 5+ years’ experience managing fast-paced agile software projects with aggressive schedules
- Ability to quickly pick up new technologies and industry trends
- Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills and passion to solve hard problems
- Excellent leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities:
- API Development: Design, implement, and maintain RESTful and gRPC APIs powering internal and external applications.
- Cloud Microservices: Architect and deploy scalable microservices in AWS/GCP/Azure using Kubernetes and modern DevOps practices.
- Data Pipelines: Build real-time and batch data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, performance, and observability (EMR on EKS).
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional squad members to deliver features end-to-end, from concept to production.
- System Reliability: Optimize services for scalability, resilience, and high availability.
- Engineering Excellence: Contribute to architecture discussions, enforce coding standards, and drive best practices in CI/CD, testing, and monitoring.

Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Scala, Go, or Java and Python (experience with multiple is a plus).

As the IT Engineer at Plume’s Hyderabad office, you will join a global team of information technologists who are responsible for providing excellent employee experiences through rapid response and resolution, maintaining system availability, and carefully executed consolidation and implementations to minimize disruption. The ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for technology, growth, and helping people.
The IT Engineer will be a key member of the global IT team. She/he will be responsible for providing on-site support to the Hyderabad office, collaborating with peers for other offices in Asia, and also fulfilling objectives as a member of our global IT team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the main, on-site IT point of contact for the offices located in Hyderabad, India, and collaborate closely with colleagues across Plume’s offices in Asia, Europe, and North America
- Manage the inventory of assets in India; Participate in audits
- Implement and manage systems, networks, and processes
- Manage local vendor relationships with the support of the Director of IT

Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience supporting diverse IT tooling in mid-sized organizations (400-1200 people)
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, SSO, Atlassian Suite, Slack, Zoom, MDM, Networking/wifi equipment, commonly used SaaS tools and cloud services, conference room equipment, all-hands audio/visual equipment
- Expertise setting up, deploying, repairing, and maintaining Mac, PC, and *nix systems
- Experience working with and adhering to ITIL/Service Management processes

Plume is hiring a security engineer to join the security team to help protect and drive the Plume mission. As a Sr. Security Vulnerability Engineer, you will focus on the technologies that ensure our networks and systems are up to industry and Plume security standards. This role will partner with various engineering, IT and stakeholder groups across Plume to ensure that the technologies and systems we build in-house or purchase are protected in a secure way that minimizes risk.
What you will do:
- Establish a process to detect, track, prioritize, and report vulnerabilities on organizational information systems
- Own End to End Vulnerability program, move the area into SOAR as needed.
- Coordinate with SOC/MSSP on vulnerability triage and detection rules/alerts, coordinate mitigation efforts, and report progress
- Identify critical flaws in applications and systems that cyber attackers could exploit
- Conduct vulnerability assessments for networks, applications and operating systems
- Conduct network security audits and scanning on a predetermined basis
- Use Crowdstrike, DAST, SAST, Rapid7 to pinpoint vulnerabilities and reduce time-consuming tasks
- Use refinement techniques to gain understanding to reduce false positives.
- Compile and track vulnerabilities over time for metrics purposes
- Serve as advisor to engineering and dev teams in security best practices and design.
- Work with security and IT teams to identify threats and problem areas and create stronger and safer software and application deployments across Plume, measuring decreased risk and prevalence of issues.
Who you are:
- Must be a Senior level person and have HANDS-ON experience as the person responsible for overseeing vulnerability Programs
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in vulnerability management with an education in security or other STEM discipline;
- Experience with either Crowdstrike, Rapid7, other EDR , MDM, XDR or SIEM
- Experience with scripting in Python, Shell, Go, Javascript and ability to read APIs
- Expertise with Mac and Linux operating systems
- Understand AWS and GCP cloud resource vulnerabilities.
- Strong communication, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work unsupervised, exercise leadership, and influence change.

Senior Software Engineer - Firmware
Plume’s Core Engineering team is looking for a bright and ambitious Firmware Engineer to continue delivering industry-leading innovation for large-scale ISP solutions at a rapid pace. Due to the massive scale requirements of our platform, you will be solving challenging problems on a daily basis using cutting-edge technologies and advanced architectural patterns involving distributed systems, reactive streaming, and stateful services. In addition, you will provide end-to-end solutions that involve various emerging System-On-Chips, Network and Device Drivers, Kernel, Operating System, SDKs like RDK-B, PrplOS and firmware based applications (native and container based) with connectivity to high scalable cloud based SAAS platforms and beyond. This is a high-impact and customer-facing role with immense growth opportunities and will truly put your software engineering skills to the test.
What You’ll Do:
- Participate in all stages of the software design lifecycle working in multi-disciplinary teams spanning cloud, embedded devices, front-end web/mobile, data, and product
- Interface with the customer on a regular basis and understand their problems and surgically solve them in any software layer possible
- Understand Broadband industry standards like TR-369, TR-069, TR-181, Wi-Fi Alliance EasyMesh, EasyConnect, Wi-Fi 7 etc.
- Understand, excel and represent Plume to external organizations like RDK-B, BBF, PrplOS, IETF etc.
- Get involved in architectural discussions with internal and external stakeholders
- Design and develop high quality, maintainable code, and perform peer code reviews

What You’ll Bring:
- 8+ years of industry experience in writing production quality firmware code for Wi-Fi and/or networking devices
- High proficiency in writing idiomatic code with experience in C/C++
- Thorough understanding of L2/L3 and L4 Networking Layers and 802.11.
- Experience working on Wi-Fi access points, developing on Linux OS, open source router platforms such as OpenWRT, RDK, PrplOS
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming and embedded systems
