As a Professional Services Technical Consultant, you will play a technical role in the architecture and successful installation, integration, and deployment of Identity and Access solutions in our clients' environments. You will also assist our implementation partners in that process. You will report to the Practice Manager of Professional Services. This job is remote-friendly.
You will:
- Deliver technical consulting to our partners and customers from various industries including financial services, manufacturing, government, utilities, and more.
- Mentoring and assisting in the development of internal and external technical resources.
- Evaluate client business, process, systems, and technology requirements and advise clients on best practices to help guide and solidify proposed designs.
- Consult with clients to assess current problem states, establish desired future states, and make solution recommendations.
- Participate in the detailed solution design, implementation, and delivery of Ping Identity IAM product solutions to our clients.
- Work with customers to install, deploy, and configure Ping Identity solutions to meet the customer's requirements.
- Develop materials for providing technical consulting (e.g., best practices, report templates, delivery guides, knowledge base articles).
- Help partners ensure they design an architecture aligned to Ping best practices for a successful customer deployment.
- Collaborate with Ping Internal teams on escalated customer issues requiring deployment expertise.
- Availability to travel up to 20% of the time.
You have:
- 5+ years of experience working in a consulting capacity with a minimum of 2 years working directly in the Identity and Access Management space within a large organization or enterprise
- Background in a consulting capacity within the Identity and Access Management space, involving heritage self-managed ForgeRock or P1AIC (PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud), including practical System Integration and Implementation experience
- Comfortable with subjects such as TCP/IP networking, OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, OIDC, LDAP, and Data Stores
- Experience with Java/JavaScript/Groovy, HTML/ CSS to support web application development
- Self-motivated, willing to take initiative, organized, able to work unaccompanied, and manage communications appropriately
- Bachelor of Science in a related field (e.g. Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems) or equivalent work-related level of experience.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written
- Preferably reside within the East Americas region and adhere to the Eastern Timezone (EST)

- Skills with DevOps best practices, including deployment automation tools, CI/CD, Docker, Terraform, and Kubernetes
Salary:
$130,000 to $170,000
In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.

As a Technical Account Manager (TAM), you will be responsible for working with new and existing clients to ensure that they are successful with their Ping solutions. As part of the company’s Global Support Organization, you will work with a variety of cross functional teams at Ping to ensure a client’s journey from purchase to production is smooth and well managed. You will partner with the customer to ensure each customer is fully optimized on their existing deployed solutions. In summary, your job is to ensure that you deliver value to our customers.
You will:
- Provide clients with technical recommendations and best practices for Ping solutions based on their identity and security needs
- Facilitate visibility into company’s product roadmap to help educate and engage customers
- Assist with over-the-shoulder configuration help on features and flows
- Coordinate and conduct business reviews with customer leadership to highlight success against goals/performance
- Assistance in planning, strategizing roll-outs and upgrades for platform adoption by the customer
- Provide customers with ad-hoc training to help build the skills in the 'most needed' areas
- Engage in the escalation and priority of support tickets created by clients in the program as needed
- Provide product demonstrations of Ping technologies
- Coordinate with other Ping Identity teams – including Support, Engineering and Product Management teams – to ensure customer needs are being addressed and resolved
- Provide feedback to Product Management for future products or enhancements based on trends and requirements
- Occasional availability during off-hours to act as a liaison or escalation point of contact due to your customers upgrade or critical implementation of Ping products
- Manage ongoing customer needs effectively to ultimately drive high customer retention and loyalty
You have:
- Understanding of Java and knowledge of web technologies
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ enterprise customer facing experience in a Customer Success, Sales Engineering, Support or Professional Services role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with SFDC or equivalent CRM systems
- Ability to manage proactive and reactive tasks effectively
- Proven track record in managing relationships with large enterprise clients
- Experience with Identity Management, Access Management or Federation
- On-call may be a requirement for this position

$120,000 to $140,000

Reporting to the Sales Director, the Sales Specialist is a field-based position dedicated to driving the adoption of our cutting-edge PingOne Recognize biometric authentication technology. Unlike a traditional generalist role, you will act as a subject matter expert, focusing on net-new logo acquisition and strategic upsells by positioning PingOne Recognize products as the gold standard for passwordless, zero-trust environments. You will leverage a robust internal resource model and global partner directory to displace legacy MFA and revolutionize how enterprises handle digital trust.
You will:
- Lead the Passwordless Revolution: Create and execute a territory strategy specifically designed to evangelize PingOne Recognize, targeting organizations burdened by legacy MFA and high-friction authentication.
- Master the Value Prop: Articulate the unique technical and business value of PingOne Recognize—privacy-preserving biometrics, zero-knowledge architecture, and the elimination of credential-based attacks.
- Engineer Complex Deals: Navigate and close high-stakes contracts by demonstrating how PingOne Recognize integrates into existing CIAM and IAM ecosystems to reduce fraud and improve user experience.
- Act as a Market Liaison: Provide direct field intelligence to Product and Engineering teams to ensure the PingOne Recognize roadmap remains the industry leader in biometric innovation.
- Orchestrate Specialist Resources: Work collaboratively with Sales Engineers and Privacy experts to address deep technical inquiries regarding biometric data and compliance.
- Forecast with Precision: Maintain a high level of transparency in sales activity and pipeline health, specifically tracking the adoption lifecycle of biometric solutions.
You have:
- Specialized Quota Experience: Significant experience selling high-growth, disruptive enterprise software—ideally within Identity, Biometrics, or Cybersecurity.
- The "Challenger" Mindset: A proven ability to sign large, strategic projects that require shifting a customer’s mindset from traditional security to modern, biometric-first architectures.
- C-Level Influence: An established network of CISOs and Digital Transformation leaders who trust your POV on the future of authentication.
- Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of the drivers of change in the industry, including FIDO standards, GDPR/privacy regulations, and the move toward "Passwordless" enterprise.

Base Hiring Range: $135,000-$155,000 + commissions

The Role:
As a Senior Sales Engineer at Ping Identity, you'll merge your enthusiasm for identity management with a commitment to customer success. In collaboration with our dynamic sales team, you will engage in customer meetings, demonstrations, and proof of concepts, showcasing the business and technical benefits of our solutions. Your role is pivotal in enabling personal, team, and customer achievements through insightful and innovative solutions that meet technical and business needs.
This role offers the chance to showcase your technical and consultative skills, engaging with stakeholders of various roles and levels to understand and meet their technical requirements with cutting-edge solutions. Your expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies will be key in delivering impactful solutions that align with customer business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-sales activities including solution demonstrations, presentations, technical guidance, proof of concepts, and RfX responses.
- Act as the go-to technical expert on Ping Identity solutions for customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Establish enduring relationships with customers and become their trusted advisor
- Collaborate with the sales team to deliver revenue. Emphasis during key sales cycle phases of Qualification, Discovery, and Technical Proof Phase
- Coordinate, throughout sales cycle, pre-sales efforts with a post-sales service delivery team
- Leading customer-facing meetings, both through videoconferencing and in-person to, deliver presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and demonstrations of Ping Identity solutions and their value remotely, in-person, and at industry events
- Provide insightful feedback on product enhancements and customer needs to product owners.
- Mentoring, both formally and informally, junior team members
- Develop subject matter expert-level knowledge of at least one of Ping Identity's solutions and serve as an expert resource to other Sales Engineers within the organization
- Able to travel 15% to 40% as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field, or 5+ years' experience with enterprise-level software systems in a customer-facing role, such as pre-sales, consulting, support, or training
- Deep knowledge of standard identity protocols: SAML, WS-Fed, OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM as well as experience with REST interfaces
- Deep knowledge of technologies that underly identity solutions: LDAP (including Active Directory), SSL/TLS, PKI, RADIUS, SQL, DNS, JDBC
- Experience with one or more modern programming languages and web technologies: JavaScript, Python, Node.js, HTTP, HTML, CSS, JSON, Java.
- Expertise in developing and delivering effective technical presentations, workshops, customized demonstrations, and proof of concepts
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Adept at linking technical capabilities to customer needs.
- Ability to work with a high level of self-direction and/or collaboratively with team and customers
- Knowledge of a subset of the following IAM concepts: Authentication / Authorization / Federation / Single Sign-On / User Lifecycle Management / Provisioning / Governance / Workflow /
- Eagerness to learn; expertise in specific business areas or industry verticals is a bonus.
- Familiarity with infrastructure, networking technologies, and cloud service providers.
Ideal Candidate Skills:
- Installation and/or configuration of one or more IAM technologies from Ping, Okta, Auth0, Sailpoint, CA, Oracle or similar
- Experience with several types of web applications servers and operating systems: Windows, Mac, RedHat, Ubuntu, Apache, Nginx, Tomcat
- Experience with DevOps processes and platforms such as GitHub, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm, as well as deployment in major cloud environments (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Successful delivery of a SaaS-based IAM solution
- Experience in Ping multi-tenant SaaS solutions: PingOne SSO, PingID, PingOne MFA, PingOne Verify, PingOne Protect, PingOne Authorize, and DaVinci
