Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and deployment of database solutions at client sites. Configure databases, optimize performance, data migration, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems and applications.
- Provide ongoing technical support to clients, including troubleshooting issues, resolving performance bottlenecks, and addressing system failures. Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues promptly.
- Engage with clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and technical requirements. Provide expert guidance and recommendations on database architecture, configuration, and best practices.
- Create comprehensive documentation, including installation guides, configuration manuals, and troubleshooting procedures, to assist clients in using and maintaining their database solutions effectively.
- Record key issues encountered during work to assist colleagues in enhancing products and improving support experiences.
- Work with the TAM, Pre-Sales, Support, and RD teams to ensure customer satisfaction and success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related field from a nationally accredited institution
- 3 years or more of experience in database technical support or related roles
- Proficiency in the operational mechanisms and management of relational databases such as MySQL/Oracle; experience with NoSQL, NewSQL, or related technologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems, understanding of common database business system architectures, and strong experience in troubleshooting and handling major faults
- Strong ability to learn quickly, excellent problem analysis and resolution skills, and the ability to work in a multi-threaded environment; capable of handling urgent situations proactively
- Excellent communication skills, a strong sense of work responsibility, and a collaborative spirit within the team

Position Overview
PingCAP is seeking an experienced Revenue Accounting Manager to join our global accounting team. This role is critical to supporting the company’s worldwide growth. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings strong expertise in revenue accounting, systems, and process improvement.
You will collaborate closely with the Accounting, Sales, Legal, Sales Operations, and Systems teams to design, enhance, and execute scalable revenue processes. Drive the month-end revenue related close process with high quality and velocity. This role is ideal for someone who wants to drive transformation across the order-to-cash (O2C) lifecycle and strengthen our global revenue operations.
Responsibilities
Billing and Collections
- Leveraging Netsuite billing to issue customer invoices on a monthly basis in accordance with contract terms.
- Monitor invoice status and collaborate with Sales and other stakeholders to collect overdue receivables.
- Lead initiatives to automate billing and collection processes using NetSuite and other tools/technologies.
Month-End Close
- Participate in the timely and accurate completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to revenues.
- Ensure revenue and related sales commission are recognized in accordance with ASC 606 and internal revenue recognition policies.
- Assist with technical accounting assessments for non-standard contract terms and ensure proper revenue treatment.
- Execute robust month-end revenue procedures, including:（Disaggregated analytical review, Reconciliations (e.g., billing, collections, deferred revenue，Deferred revenue and contract liability classification）
- Apply cash receipts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist in the accounting and classification of cloud cost, ensuring the accuracy of gross margin.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Serve as a key driver in transforming and enhancing order-to-cash processes to improve accuracy, scalability, and efficiency of revenue recognition workflows.
- Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities to streamline and automate revenue and accounting processes.
- Champion the use of AI technologies within Finance to increase automation, reduce manual work, and improve insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales Ops, IT/Systems, Product, Customer Success) to ensure data integrity, system improvements, and end-to-end process alignment.
Qualifications
- Bilingual: Proficiency in English (primary working language) and Mandarin Chinese.
- Big Four experience and CPA (or equivalent certification) are strong pluses.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, ideally within SaaS and Cloud costing or technology companies.
- Passionate about adopting new technologies, including AI tools, to automate processes and enhance productivity.
- Experience working in a global organization across multiple time zones (APAC + US).
- Hands-on, detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and practical application in real-world scenarios.

- Responsible for inventory and maintenance of the company’s IT hardware and software assets, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of asset information.

- Educate prospects and customers on what is possible with TiDB and share best practices for integrating into their applications
- Understand customer requirements and communicate the business value of solving technology problems using TiDB
- Guide the design and deployment of hybrid transactional and analytical databases that impact multiple functional areas of a customer’s organization
- Work on RFPs / customer’s technical requirements with the Sales team
- Prepare demos and proofs-of-concept to demonstrate various use cases for TiDB
- Create technical content to show customers how to integrate TiDB or implement best practices for new technologies
- During a customer's implementation, assist backend developers, database administrators, product managers, and project owners with any and all technical questions that arise

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role, with a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in solution design and implementation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong technical proficiency in a wide range of technologies, including but not limited to cloud computing, microservices architecture, API design, database systems, and security principles.
- A strong Database experience is a must. MySQL experience is most preferred.
- A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle;
- Working understanding of code and script in Python, Shell, or Golang is a plus.
- Docker/Kubernetes knowledge is a strong plus.
- Experience in one or more public cloud environments, e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform;
- Typically 15-25% travel, depending on role
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a comparable field is preferred.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Experience in technical support of databases (MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, MongoDB, etc) or big data systems (Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Spark, etc) is a strong plus.
- Experience in operating MySQL, Cassandra, Postgres, and other transactional databases in a large-scale production environment is a strong plus.
