The Technical Designer is responsible for building and maintaining garment specifications and fit from initial design concept through to final fit approval for women's categories. This role ensures fit consistency and Brand standards for construction are maintained throughout the assigned category. This position requires strong technical proficiency, process management, and problem-solving skills.
Work with business partners to obtain clear direction on design aesthetic, fit intent, and construction.
Build effective working relationships with cross-functional partners in Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, and Product Development, as well as overseas offices and direct vendors.
Develop specifications and garment construction methods for assigned categories; assist in cost engineering styles for bulk production.
Attend fit sessions to help develop Brand aesthetic, silhouette, and proportion within the target price point.
Address technical issues related to fit and execution, including fabric application, construction, and grading.
Communicate fit intent, balance, and construction revisions to overseas partners and vendors via fit notes, diagrams, and digital photos.
Evaluate prototype and fit samples for measurement, fit, and construction accuracy according to Brand standards.
Participate in maintaining consistency within technical design and product creation processes.
Partner with overseas offices and vendor technical teams to ensure execution of fit, construction, and finishing.
Communicate effectively with teams to ensure calendar milestone deliverables are met.
Identify potential production, quality, and costing issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Monitor workload deliverables to ensure individual deadlines are met and prevent delivery delays.
Attend key milestone meetings to provide technical support regarding fit and construction.
Experience in fitting garments for assigned product categories.
Ability to analyze fit issues and propose actionable solutions.
Proficiency in creating accurate and detailed technical specification packages.
Understanding of pattern making, grading, and construction methods.
Familiarity with the end-to-end product development and apparel production process.
Knowledge of fabric properties and inner components.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and ability to manage overlapping deadlines.
Dedicated team player with professional interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Google Apps/Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, and PLM systems.
Familiarity with Gerber AccuMark, Lectra, Optitex, Browzwear, or CLO 3D.
B.A. in Apparel Design, Technical Design, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in Technical Design.
Salary offered will be commensurate with experience. For this New York based position, the expected base salary is $75,000 - $85,000.

Position Summary:
As the Human Resources Manager, you would be responsible for serving as the primary human resources contact for all employees based in our New York office. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), you will be responsible for managing employee relations, performance management, training, policy implementation, and local compliance. You will act as a strategic partner to local management, helping to foster a positive, productive, and compliant work environment.
Pay: 100k-120k
Employee Relations: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on performance improvement, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
Performance Management: Support and administer the company's performance review process, working with managers to ensure timely and effective feedback, goal setting, and development planning.
Policy & Compliance: Interpret and ensure consistent application of all company policies and procedures. Stay current on federal, state (New York and New Jersey), and local employment law to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risk.
Recruitment & Onboarding: Partner with the Corporate Talent Acquisition team to support local recruitment needs. Oversee the new hire onboarding process for New York employees to ensure a smooth and engaging transition.
Training & Development: Identify training needs and develop or facilitate local employee development programs, including manager training and mandatory compliance courses.
HR Administration: Manage day-to-day HR administrative tasks for the local office, including reporting, data integrity, and maintaining employee records.
Experience: 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably as an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist, operating in a standalone capacity or with minimal local HR support.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR) is highly desirable.
Legal Knowledge: Expert knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws, with specific emphasis on New York (NY) and New Jersey (NJ) labor law and compliance requirements.
Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations issues, excellent judgment, and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
Autonomy & Ownership: Highly independent and self-motivated, with a proven ability to manage all HR functions without direct reports.
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build immediate credibility and trust with employees and senior leadership.
