The things you care about
At the heart of our platform we track performance marketing data and build a number of solutions to turn this data into useful information for our customers. We work with a lot of data, generating over a billion events across our infrastructure daily. We aim to make as much of this data available in real-time as possible, which is no mean feat at this scale! Our platform is powered by our REST APIs and everything is developed with an API-first approach.
The primary technologies we use are Python, PHP, JavaScript (React), and Kafka. Data is stored in MySQL, PostgreSQL, Druid and Redis. We are constantly evolving our platform and tools to take advantage of the ever-changing tech landscape. We deploy to production several times a day.
As a Senior Python Software Engineer at Partnerize, you will:
- Be responsible for developing systems that process data at near real time for thousands of events per second, operating with data sets in the region of tens of billions of rows.
- Contribute towards mission critical systems for the business, helping us to scale our platform to meet the demands of our clients.
- Work closely with the lead architect to build services that are scalable, fault tolerant, and resilient.
- Write clean, well-tested and refactored code while keeping in mind maintainability and scalability of the system.
You are a seasoned Python software engineer with:
- Have a minimum of 5-7 years of robust professional software development experience, prominently utilising Python as the primary language, within a commercial setting.
- Demonstrate mastery of Python programming, encompassing an extensive understanding of Python libraries and frameworks, coupled with a track record of building distributed systems with a strong emphasis on high concurrency.
- Experience developing against large volumes of data and implementing systems that are fault tolerant, distributed, and horizontally scalable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, for collaborating with team members and authoring technical documentation.
We hope you have:
- Hands-on experience with technologies like Kafka, MySQL, Postgres.
- Experience with processing financial data.
- Experience in reverse engineering and problem solving skills, specifically the ability to understand existing systems written in PHP to reimplement.
- An understanding of operational principles, specifically Linux based systems.

On top of that they will be an expert in a particular technical domain and be the go-to-person for solving problems related to that domain. They will lead and deliver on tribe, tech and development process initiatives and be actively contributing to all team and cross- team ceremonies. They should be able to help with issues outside their own team.
Responsibilities:

- Experience in designing, developing and consuming REST APIs and APIs as product
- Experience with communicating technical vision and passion for close collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- The ability to communicate in a concise and focused way, listen to others, and practice patience

- Bsc Hons in Computing related field
- Practical experience with Agile and Lean delivery approaches and modern engineering practices, such as clean code, TDD, refactoring, Continuous integration and delivery

As a Front-End Engineer at Partnerize, you will:
- Drive Outcomes: Take high-level ownership of features from discovery to delivery, autonomously driving outcomes to achieve impactful business results.
- Build & Scale: Develop and maintain high-quality React applications that are modular, performant, and easy to maintain.
- AI Integration: Collaborate on the frontend implementation of Agentic AI systems, creating intuitive interfaces that allow users to interact with and oversee autonomous agents.
- Collaborate: Work within a cross-functional "Tribe" alongside Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers in a highly autonomous and collaborative environment.
- Champion Quality: Write clean, well-tested code, we expect robust testing (Unit/Integration/E2E) to be a core part of your development process.
- Master the Domain: Gain a deep understanding of the complex business logic behind global performance marketing.
You are a software engineer with:
- React Expertise: Deep professional experience building complex web applications using React and the modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem.
- Testing Mindset: A strong commitment to shipping well-tested code using modern tools (e.g. Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress).
- State Management: Fluency in managing complex application state (e.g., Redux Toolkit and React Context).
- API Integration: Extensive experience consuming and assisting designing contracts for RESTful and GraphQL APIs in an API-first environment.
- Self-Starter Attitude: The ability to communicate in a concise way, listen to others, and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.

Job Summary:
We divide our time between manual and automated testing. We run our automated frameworks in Ruby, using Cypress for the UI tests, with some legacy tests in Selenium webdriver. We primarily do our work on Macbooks with a local Docker environment. You can expect to be supported in your passion for Testing with the opportunities and time to branch out into specialisms such as Load, Performance and Security testing. Your opinions and input are always valued.
Our development teams are multidisciplinary with engineers, QA, designers, and product managers working together using Agile principles. Each team is independently organised and autonomous, deciding their own workflow for solving the problems presented to them. All Test Engineers meet to share knowledge and ideas across the teams, and to make cross-team decisions, such as coding standards.
Responsibilities:
- Test from the very beginning of user stories development during Three amigos and Refinement sessions
- Provide code reviews for other Test Engineers
- Become a subject matter expert in your area of the product
- Manage your own workload and approach to how you test, ensuring thorough manual testing as well as adequate automation checks.
- Actively learn and share knowledge and ideas around QA practices or automation framework initiatives that will benefit testing for the product
- Provide feedback during Scrum ceremonies to improve the delivery of the team as a whole
Required Qualifications & Competencies:
- Passion for testing and a technical background with experience in manual and automated API/Front-end testing.
- The ability to write concise and accurate bug reports, so that any issues can be easily recreated
- Experience in basic SQL operations
- Demonstrable knowledge of any programming language
- Assertiveness and active contributions to team meetings and planning sessions
- A focus on delivering quality to your own high standards
Desired Qualifications & Competencies:
- Experience in development using the Ruby language
- Experience in working in an Agile environment
- Experience in using a source control solution such as Git

You are an experienced Engineering Leader with:

Proven Management Scale: Experience leading multiple engineering teams (including managing other managers) in a fast-paced, product-led environment.

Deep Technical Roots: A strong background in backend or platform engineering, with the demonstrable ability to design and critique distributed systems at scale.

Architectural Mastery: Experience with event-driven architecture, real-time data processing, and making clear technical decisions under ambiguity.

Strategic Partnership: A track record of working effectively with Product and stakeholders at all levels to balance performance, reliability, and cost.

Pragmatic Problem Solving: The ability to move comfortably between high-level organizational strategy and low-level technical detail.

Clear Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex trade-offs clearly without relying on others to define the direction.
Desired Qualifications & Competencies:

Scaling Experience: You’ve personally designed systems that needed to scale—and you have seen exactly where they break.

Conflict Resolution: You have challenged engineers or stakeholders when necessary and can articulate the technical or business reasoning behind it.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

Agile & Lean Mastery: Practical experience driving efficiency using Agile principles and modern engineering practices (TDD, CI/CD, DDD).
