THE POSITION

As a Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for achieving sales objectives for our single cell RNA sequencing products through the development of new business and management of current customer accounts. You will be expected to create and execute a sales strategy across academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical accounts while working closely with Field Application Scientists and other Parse team members. Candidates should have strong technical skills, sales skills, the ability to develop and manage customer relationships, and a drive to overachieve. Gaining a deep understanding of the single cell market and Parse’s products will be critical to success. 

TERRITORY AND TRAVEL

You will be based in Germany, and you will primarily cover Central and Northern Germany with potential for other nearby territories.  The position will require travel approximately 50% of the time.

IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL

• Generate and manage both high volume and large complex sales
• Ensure customers are satisfied and making rapid experimental progress
• Develop, maintain, and grow repeat business while maintaining strong relationships
• Prospect effectively to generate an immediate, medium, and long-term sales pipelines to ensure consistent quota obtainment

• Forecast projected sales in your territory

FOR THIS POSITION, WE LOOK FOR

• Bachelors in biology/genomics or a related field. A Masters or PhD is a plus
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant sales or channel management experience (preferably in either Next Generation Sequencing, genomics, or single cell analysis)
• Fluency in both German and English 
• Previous molecular biology lab experience is preferred
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time (locally, nationally, and internationally as needed)
• A home office in Central or Northern Germany

THE POSITION

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be critical to the success of Central European commercial team - working closely with your Technical Sales Managers (TSM) and Account Executives (AE) to co-execute a sales strategy across academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical customers. You will deliver personalized emails, perform discovery calls, and conduct short presentations.  Your goal is to engage with potential customers, uncovering their needs, matching product and service, generating excitement and interest, and developing meetings for your TSMs and AEs. This role has set targets for calls you make, meetings you set, and deals created.  And yes, you can overachieve these goals - there is no commission cap.

We are passionate about career progression and in this position, you will be provided a clear path for commercial promotions. Candidates should have strong technical skills, a passion for sales and talking with customers, the ability to develop and manage customer relationships, and a drive to overachieve. IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL

• Be responsible for achieving sales objectives across Central Europe, developing new business, and generating potential customer leads at new accounts who have an interest in our single cell RNA sequencing products
• Generate and manage a high volume of emails, calls, and zoom meetings (target of 30 calls per day)
• Become an expert in using lead development software, specifically LinkedIn Navigator, Crunchbase, and SciLeads
• Maintain a CRM process that includes emails, calls, and conversation notes
• Be skilled and consistent with research and follow-up
• Effectively communicate value proposition and technical advantages to customers
• Continually develop technical knowledge related to new, emerging, and related single cell research

THE POSITION

As a field application scientist at Parse Biosciences, you will act as the scientific liaison between the company and our customers. You will build long lasting relationships with researchers working at the cutting edge of biology in fields including neuroscience, immunology, development, and more. As a solutions provider, we partner with our customers to ensure they’re not only generating high quality data, but also designing their experiments in a way that will answer the questions they are asking and achieve the goals of their studies.

Parse offers the most scalable and flexible single cell sequencing solution on the market. Researchers are looking for guidance on how to best use our kits in order to accelerate their biological discovery. You will be responsible for working with various research groups to make sure they are educated on how our kits work, support them as they conduct the full workflow, and be available for follow up technical questions that may be asked.

In addition to customer facing discussions, you will also be responsible for communicating customer feedback to internal product teams to ensure we continue to build solutions best suited for our customers. You may also contribute to scientific presentations for technical demonstrations.

TERRITORY AND TRAVEL

The primary territory for this position includes Central and Northern Germany, as well as, Benelux. You can expect to be on site with customers approximately 50% of the time, and on site in our Seattle HQ 1 to 2 times per year. You will work closely with your customers to determine the optimal training format which can be virtual or on site with a duration of 1 to 3 days. Partnering with the Technical Sales Manager for your territory, you will have a great deal of control over your schedule and can organize your travel in a way that best suits you and your customers' goals.

IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL

• Proactively communicate with customers to understand the goals and needs of their projects
• Provide technical guidance to customers on single cell experimental design
• Train and support new customers to ensure protocols are understood and followed properly
• Participate in pre- and post-sales activities to drive product adoption and revenue, strategically with your regional sales partners.  To include, but not limited to, delivering technical seminars/webinars, product workshops, and nurturing key accounts 
• Perform troubleshooting and provide assistance on customer experiments
• Work closely with product teams and contribute to customer facing technical documentation
• Collect feedback from current customers and communicate to product teams and management to help guide product development
• Keep up to date on the ever-evolving field of single cell genomics and relay observations of market shifts to management
• Deliver scientific presentations for internal or customer facing events

FOR THIS POSITION, WE LOOK FOR

• Experience in a customer-facing role for genomics products
• Advanced degree in molecular biology, genomics, or a related field or undergraduate degree with relevant experience
• Experience performing next generation sequencing library preparation
• Ability to effectively communicate technical details to a broad scientific audience
• Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment
• Your residence is currently in Northern or Central Germany, or Benelux
• Be willing and able to travel as outlined above under “Territory and Travel” 
• Experience performing single-cell RNA-seq assays in a laboratory setting preferred
• Experience working with cell culture, tissue dissociation, cell sample preparation preferred
• Experience performing bioinformatic analysis with genomics datasets preferred
