In this role you will

Your experience

- 3+ years of experience working in data science using statistical methods.
- Experience with ML for modeling more complex concepts.
- Experience in data instrumentation and data collection, as well as in the use of tools for analyzing data (e.g. R, Python).
- Experience in marketing data science (or similar role) would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Distribution and Product teams to identify opportunities to improve distribution.
• Proactively discover and drive new data-driven approaches to optimize distribution.
• Work on ad hoc projects that support company strategy.
• Present and share new methodologies and best practices internally and externally.
• Build and maintain clean, scalable data pipelines and internal tools that reduce manual work, minimize errors, and enable at-scale optimization.
• Develop robust experimentation frameworks and perform analyses to support profit growth and distribution optimization.
• Communicate insights clearly, challenge outdated practices, and lead pragmatic improvements.
• Optimize data processing workflows to improve efficiency and performance.
• Advise the Marketing team on test design and experimental setups based on data insights.
• Contribute analytical perspectives to discussions and suggest improvements to campaign performance.
• Analyze results from various experiments and tests.
• Implement mathematical models to optimize the performance of Outfit7's marketing campaigns.

Required Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand data and identify key trends.
• Advanced data analysis skills, particularly in SQL and R or Python.

Required experience

• 5+ years of experience in a data scientist role, ideally in mobile gaming, performance marketing or related fields (you should know how to use data to help with business decisions).
• Proficiency in R or Python, primarily for statistical analysis, data manipulation, and visualisation.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, and monitoring.
• Experience with data-oriented tools, such as SQL; familiarity with DBT is a plus.
• Proven ability to structure complex problems, conduct thorough analyses, and generate actionable insights from large datasets.
• Experience working with teams from different departments.
• Experience in leading a smaller team would be a plus.
