Position Objective:

The Accounts Payable Associate supports the accounts payable function through accurate, timely, and well-documented processing of routine AP activities. This role is expected to handle task-based work that is well-defined and closely supported, with a focus on building foundational AP and systems skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This role is vital to help keep the company’s day-to-day accounting functions running smoothly and is responsible for projecting a professional company image and excellent internal/external customer relations.

Responsibilities:

• Process routine AP transactions for solar construction and development projects following documented procedures:
  • Enter vendor invoices into the accounting system accurately and timely
  • Support processing and review of purchase orders and receipt/approval documentation
  • Route invoices for approvals and monitor status to support payment timelines
• Respond to basic AP inquiries from internal stakeholders and vendors with professionalism, escalating complex or unclear issues to the AP Lead/Manager
• Accurate review and analysis of contract payment terms, conditions, and other applicable information
• Support vendor onboarding and maintenance, collecting required documentation and ensuring vendor records are complete and accurate
• Assist with weekly payment preparation tasks, including pulling support, confirming approvals, and completing defined checklist steps
• Support expense/corporate spend workflows as assigned (e.g., ensuring receipts are attached and transactions are coded per guidelines), escalating policy questions
• Assisting with systems implementation and enhancement testing, identifying, and following up on issues with systems as they arise
• Participate in process documentation and continuous improvement, suggesting practical enhancements as you learn the workflows and tools
• Support period-end readiness through defined reconciliation support tasks and documentation organization as assigned and participate in annual consolidated financial statement audit

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience; interest in an accounting/AP career path strongly preferred
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (including internships, coordinator roles, or prior administrative/AP exposure). Entry-level candidates with strong aptitude and motivation are encouraged to apply
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes accurately and consistently
• Strong customer service mindset and professional communication skills (written and verbal)
• Comfort learning systems and tools; ERP/AP system exposure is a plus (Sage Intacct of NetSuite)
• High proficiency (or willingness to learn quickly) in Office 365 tools, particularly Excel

Compensation: $60,000 - $68,000 (exempt)

Position Objective:

The Accounts Payable Lead plays a key role in supporting the execution, accuracy, and day-to-day leadership of the accounts payable function. This role serves as a hands-on senior contributor and operational lead, helping ensure invoices are processed timely and accurately while providing guidance, problem-solving support, and prioritization for the Accounts Payable team.

The Accounts Payable Lead is expected to take initiative, act as a subject matter resource, and support strong internal and external relationships while helping keep the company’s accounts payable operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day execution of full cycle accounts payable activities in a high-volume environment supporting solar construction and development projects:
• Review purchase requisitions for appropriate approval and documentation
• Oversee purchase order issuance and invoice matching
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of vendor invoices into the accounting system
• Support resolution of discrepancies and exceptions related to purchase orders, invoices, and payments
• Act as a primary point of support for Accounts Payable Associates, assisting with:

• Daily questions and issue resolution
• Prioritization of workload and weekly processing needs
• Escalation of risks, delays, or trends to the Accounts Payable Manager
• Serve as a subject matter resource across AP processes, systems, and controls, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoice matching, and vendor maintenance
• Respond to invoice, requisition, and payment inquiries from internal stakeholders and external vendors in a timely and professional manner
• Support vendor setup and maintenance, ensuring appropriate tax documentation and data accuracy within the accounting system
• Leverage and navigate multiple systems and tools (e.g., ERP, AP platforms, expense and corporate card tools), understanding how data flows between systems and identifying issues when they arise
• Review and support accurate G/L coding for invoices and corporate card transactions, assisting with quality control and compliance with company policies
• Assist with systems implementations, enhancements, and testing by identifying issues, documenting findings, and partnering with Accounting Operations leadership on improvements
• Proactively collaborate cross-functionally with Development, Delivery, and Finance teams to support timely processing while maintaining internal controls
• Perform select period-end reconciliations and provide support for month-end close activities related to accounts payable
• Contribute to the documentation and continuous improvement of accounts payable processes, controls, and workflows
• Assist in reviewing, approving and syncing travel and expense transactions for company-wide program
• Lead the process to assess and issue annual 1099 tax forms

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 2-4+ years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment, with demonstrated ability to independently run standard workstreams and resolve moderately complex issues
• Strong working knowledge of AP processes, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoice matching, and exception resolution
• Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Experience working within ERP systems; Sage Intacct experience is a plus
• Prior experience with AP processing systems and related tools
• Tech-savvy with the ability to move between systems and understand how platforms integrate and impact downstream accounting
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, including initiative, reliability, problem-solving, and the ability to guide and support peers
• Strong cross-functional communication skills and ability to partner effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Solid understanding of G/L coding and the impact of accounts payable on monthly, quarterly, and annual financials

Position Objective:

The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for owning the accounts payable function to ensure timely, accurate, and well-controlled payments to vendors. This role is vital to keeping the company’s day-to-day AP operations running smoothly while continuously improving scalability, speed, and accuracy in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

The AP Manager translates functional plans into operational execution, exercises independent judgment on complex issues, and partners cross-functionally to drive strong stakeholder outcomes, internal controls, and process innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Own AP outcomes and operational performance across invoice intake, matching, coding, approvals, and payment processing to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and strong internal controls.
• Oversee full cycle accounts payable for solar construction and development projects, including review of invoice entries for proper coding/classification and review of vendor setup for accuracy/completeness.
• Drive weekly payment execution, including preparation/review of weekly payment reporting and ensuring appropriate approvals and inclusion of items requiring payment.
• Guide the AP team’s weekly priorities and throughput, including coaching, removing blockers, creating clarity on standards, and ensuring consistent quality of work. (Leadership may be demonstrated through influence and accountability, not only headcount.)
• Maintain excellent internal and external relationships, resolving escalated vendor and stakeholder issues quickly and professionally while protecting controls and policy adherence.
• Own AP controls, processes, and continuous improvement, reflecting on AP processes that can be enhanced to create efficiencies and implementing improvements/automation where appropriate.
• Support close and audit readiness, including select period-end reconciliations/entries related to AP, participating in annual audit, and ensuring AP documentation is complete and organized.
• Own or oversee annual 1099 process to ensure timely, accurate completion and compliance.
• Partner with Finance/Project teams on AP-adjacent deliverables (e.g., debt draw requests where applicable), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Systems mindset: partner on tools and integrations impacting AP (ERP/AP platforms/expense tools), ensuring controls and data flow support scalable execution.
• Manage process documentation for AP workflows, controls, and training materials to support onboarding, consistency, and audit readiness

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, including 3+ years of people/team management experience.
• Typically, 5–6+ years of relevant experience (renewable, construction or high volume of purchase orders), including progressively increased scope in AP operations and/or ownership of AP programs/workstreams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through accountability and influence; with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to develop and mentor a team.
• Strong knowledge of AP operations and controls and understanding of AP’s impact on monthly/quarterly/annual financials.
• Experience in an ERP system such as Sage Intacct (or similar); high comfort operating across interconnected systems.
• Proven ability to prioritize, delegate (where applicable), and drive results under competing deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong written/verbal communication skills across stakeholder levels.

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in driving OneEnergy’s operational accounting and supporting the company’s growth. We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is energized by working on high-impact business transactions. In this role, you’ll own critical day-to-day accounting activities, help refine and improve existing processes, and collaborate closely with internal partners and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: 

• Support Independent Power Production (IPP) and Tax Equity accounting: 
  • Asset Purchase Accounting: Ensure asset purchases are accounted for per GAAP. Work with Accounting Manager to prepare work papers to support each asset sale.  
  • CIP (Construction in Progress): Support CIP accounting per GAAP for all IPP assets, including monitoring project costs and ensuring timely transfer of completed assets 
  • Revenue: Work with Accounting Manager to ensure energy generation revenue and PPA (Power Production Agreement) revenue are billed timely, recorded per GAAP and reconciled each period. Execute related accounts receivable invoicing. 
  • Partnership Expense Accruals: Work with Accounting Manager to ensure all LLC accruals are recorded per the partnership agreement and GAAP. (i.e. Manager Fee, Asset Management Fee, Distributions, Operating & Maintenance expense, general expense accruals) 
  • Solar Assets: Support the accounting of operating solar assets per GAAP. (i.e. maintain and record period depreciation schedules) 
  • ARO (Asset Retirement Obligation): Support execution of ARO accounting accurately maintaining schedules and recording journal entries according to GAAP,  ensuring all underlying assumptions and estimates are reviewed and updated on a timely basis. 
  • REC (Renewable Energy Credit): Support the accounting for REC cost and inventory accounting per GAAP, ensuring accurate tracking, valuation, and reporting of all REC activity 
  • Hedge Accounting: Support accounting manager in accounting for debt interest rate hedge.  
  • Equity Accounting: Ensure partnership equity is accounted for per GAAP and partnership documents. 
  • Leases: Record monthly journal entries and reconciliations for new and existing finance and operating leases in accordance with ASC 842. Execute monthly lease accounting per GAAP. 
  • Intercompany: Support the intercompany accounting related to IPP transactions. 
  • Cash: Support treasury team and asset management with any cash related items for the IPP business. 
• Debt Accounting: Work with accounting team to ensure term debt, construction debt, and corporate debt is recorded each period per GAAP. Support debt draws.  

• Monthly Close: Key participant in monthly close executing timely and accurate completion of assigned reconciliations, tasks and journal entries per the close calendar. 

• Process Documentation: Support the creation and continual improvement of documentation for owned accounting processes, clearly outlining manual steps, system interactions, and the broader financial impact on the organization 

• Audit: Play a key role in the execution of annual financial statement audits by proactively coordinating with Accounting Manager and external auditors, communicating information needs in a timely manner, and ensuring accurate, complete audit support is provided expediently 

• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as needed. 

 
Requirements: 

     Education & Certifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting. 

• CPA or progress toward certification strongly preferred. 

• Public accounting experience at a Big 4 firm preferred. 

     Technical & Accounting Expertise 

• Minimum of 5 years’ of relevant accounting experience contributing to a high-performing operational accounting team. 
• Experience in financial services industry with exposure to complex entity structures and investment relationships required. 
• Understanding of GAAP and management accounting. 
• Advanced excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
• Proficiency in ERP systems, such as Sage Intacct or NetSuite. 

• High proficiency in Office 365 skills, required.

• Demonstrated ability to document, maintain, and improve accounting processes and controls. 

• Experience driving efficiency, operational automation, and standardization.
