Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine countries that together are home to two-thirds of Africa's farmers, we provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a wide range of other agricultural services. You will ensure that market access value chains are analyzed against the winner value chain framework thoroughly and accurately to 1) inform org resourcing decisions, 2) guide Market Access stakeholders on how to strengthen those value chains, and 3) deliver impact for smallholder farmers and especially youth and women.

By 2030 our organization will serve 10 million farm families annually. This growth will be fuelled by fundraising, and at One Acre Fund our fundraising relies on industry-leading grant writing. We employ a dedicated 15+-person writing team that drafts clear, data-driven, and farmer-centric proposals and reports.
We are looking for a skilled grant writer and project manager, with a depth of experience with bilateral and multilateral funding mechanisms, to join our public fundraising team. You will report to the Public Fundraising Team Lead and immediately take on a portfolio of high-value reports and proposals while stepping into a leadership role within the team, acting as a strategic deputy to the team lead.

One Acre Fund is home to Africa's largest agroforestry programs, serving over 2 million farmers, providing more than 100 million seedlings per year, and engaging a network of over 2,500 rural nurseries run by local entrepreneurs. We see these programs as part of the solution to three key challenges facing smallholder farmers - poverty, climate change, and biodiversity loss. As an Agroforestry Innovations Associate, you will strengthen and improve these programs with new approaches to generate positive change for farm families and the environment. You will work on a variety of complex challenges, including strengthening our supply of quality tree seed, improving training and management tools for nursery managers, and diversifying our species offerings.
The Agroforestry Innovations Associate will be part of our dedicated international agroforestry team and will support ten embedded agroforestry teams—one in each country program. This role will report to the Agroforestry Director.
Scope, pilot, and scale new investments to improve program impact and reach. Example initiatives could include:
Provide short-term direct support to agroforestry operations in cases where team bandwidth isn’t adequate. This could be in the form of high-touch operational support or even a short-term secondment.

The Sustainability Lead role has two core responsibilities. First, the Lead oversees the measurement and analysis of One Acre Fund’s environmental impact, including emissions accounting and environmental and social impact assessments. Second, the Lead drives improvements in sustainability through targeted initiatives and cross-functional projects that address identified gaps. This role requires close collaboration with colleagues across our ten countries of operation and multiple functional areas, such as supply chain, logistics, and field operations, as well as coordination with external partners. We are therefore seeking a highly organized project leader who is also a strong cross-team collaborator.
The Sustainability Lead sits within One Acre Fund’s Impact Division and reports to the Senior Impact Director. The Impact Division includes several core functions, such as the central Agricultural Research & Consulting team and the Monitoring, Evaluation, & Learning team. It also leads key organization-wide initiatives, including agricultural insurance, payments for ecosystem services, behavioral research, nutrition and health, emissions accounting, and environmental impact assessments.
Lead Annual Emissions Calculations
Lead key strategic projects to reduce emissions in hot-spot areas.
Manage our Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) process for all products and services offered by 1AF.

One Acre Fund Nigeria is among our fastest-growing countries of operation. Our goal is to support at least 50% of Nigerian farming households in developing resilient farming practices and diversifying their income sources through agriculture. We are active in 3 states and aim to expand to 8-10 states by 2030.
The expansion senior specialist will oversee efforts to identify new products, services, and states to accelerate progress toward our vision. You will develop strategies and plans to extend our reach to new regions, helping hundreds of thousands of farmers annually. The Expansion Lead will work alongside program leaders to lead these initiatives and will report to the Program Division Lead.
