Job Description

As a Remote Geotechnical Engineer, you will perform geotechnical engineering design, project proposal and management duties with integrity and a drive to succeed.  You will also process design calculations, generate technical report documents, develop project scopes and schedules, and occasionally travel to job sites for observation. You will be required to ensure high client service by providing constructible designs, meeting deadlines, and creating clear communications with our clients.

As a Wastewater Treatment Subject Matter Expert, you will be responsible for mentoring, quality, technical excellence, and design reviews. The Subject Matter Expert provides direction on design and development activities across the firm to improve or design new concepts and processes for services within the discipline, focusing on technical performance and production, technical innovation, and quality.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Serves as a subject matter expert for the firm, acting as an advisor internally and externally and elevating the level of technical capabilities related to wastewater treatment.
• Provides firmwide direction, internal consultation, and services to clients in a specialized service or discipline integral to the firm.
• Ensure all processes and systems comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Prepare and review compliance documentation and reports.
• Maintains a reputation as a technical expert outside of the firm; writes papers, gives technical presentations, and/or regularly represents the firm in professional and technical societies.
• Promotes efficiencies in producing quality work and ensures quality control standards are maintained.
• Researches and analyzes wastewater-related data, trends, and emerging technologies to provide insights and recommendations internally and externally.
• Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders and industry partners to stay informed of developments and to identify opportunities for collaboration.
• May represent the firm on governing bodies of professional organizations to elevate the profession and the firm’s brand.
• Lead and manage water/wastewater treatment projects from conceptual design through to implementation. Prepare detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules.

We are seeking an experienced skilled Project Manager to join our industry-leading Data Center Project Management team. In this role, you will serve as a lead project manager, ensuring successful project deliverables and completion for complex multiple-discipline and high-priority projects. This fast-paced projects include all development  phases including site investigations, development, new facilities, and major utility infrastructure—ensuring successful delivery on time, within scope, and on budget. 

As the project lead, you’ll coordinate across technical teams, manage resources, and drive quality execution for high-priority projects. This position offers the opportunity to not only serve in the project management role, but also to mentor rising project managers, provide leadership and advancement opportunities. 

Primary responsibilities include: 

• Assemble and lead project teams, aligning skills and resources with objectives.

• Develop and manage budgets, monitor costs, and ensure financial success. 
• Secure resources and oversee timely completion of all project stages.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an associate degree with equivalent experience is required. 
• 8+ years of project experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry with increasing responsibility. 
• 4+ years of experience in industry-related project management; may be concurrent with project experience. 
• Knowledge of engineering/design terms, contracts, financials, and operations. 
• Proven ability to meet client expectations through effective project management. 
• Strong decision-making, leadership, organization, and negotiation abilities.
