The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) (Rensselaer, NY) seeks a Senior Operations Engineering Engineer to determine system reliability transfer limits, assist management in the review of NYISO controlled and secured facilities in the areas of system studies, maintenance and testing of Power System Protection systems, and reporting and compliance. Will also develop engineering studies and analysis to assist management to make engineering-based recommendations to internal functions, Market Participant committees and the general public. Participate in NERC, NPCC, Regional, and NYISO study groups.
Specifically, duties will include the following responsibilities:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a related technical field. The successful candidate must also have two (2) years of experience as an Engineer in the energy field, to include two (2) years of experience with the following:

The NYISO’s Human Resources team invites applications for a full-time Recruiting Specialist.
The Recruiting Specialist provides critical support for and management of NYISO’s recruiting and hiring processes. This will include working with the HR recruiting leader to develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive and cost effective recruiting strategy, partnering with hiring managers in a decentralized hiring environment to provide guidance on best practices, and acting as an expert advisor on developing a search plan which will result in a qualified and comprehensive pool of candidates for all positions across the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Willingness and ability to travel during peak college recruiting seasons (primarily Spring and Fall) is required, including overnight and out‑of‑state travel, to represent NYISO at on‑campus recruiting events, job fairs, and national conferences.

A Senior Software Engineer will participate in a 24x7x365 on-call support rotation for production applications.

The Senior Quality Assurance Automation will review requirements, design and test plan documents, develop and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts, maintain and execute manual and automated system tests, troubleshoot automated test executions, analyze test results, identify and report defects, validate bug fixes, regression testing, performance testing and create test summary reports. This position participates in all phases of the software development lifecycle for assigned projects, researches new tools, technologies, techniques, and best practices, mentors and trains other team members, leads projects, and acts as a subject matter expert for assigned products.
