We are looking for Two Softgel Supervisors!
Shifts: 2nd Shift; 3rd Shift (Includes Saturday and Sunday);
Hours: 2nd Shift 12pm-8:30pm or 3rd Shift 8pm-4:30am
Salary: $70,000 to $80,000
POSITION SUMMARY
The Softgel Manufacturing Supervisor oversees the production of softgels and other products, with a strong focus on the compounding and encapsulation processes, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently in compliance with company SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices).

Role Competencies/Expectations/Essential Functions:
Oversees daily manufacturing operations. Monitors production schedules, and organizes workflow.
Ensures high product quality and adherence to quality standards.
Oversees and ensures proper execution of the softgel compounding process, including weighing, mixing, and verifying raw materials according to batch records.
Monitors compounding and encapsulation parameters to maintain product quality and compliance with specifications.
Troubleshoots equipment and process to comply with company SOP’s
Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations
Follows all company SOPs and GMPs.
Reports any deviation in process to supervisor and QA/QC.
Completes and fills out required reports.
Liaison between production and maintenance.
Implements process improvements to minimize costs and enhance production quality
Responsible for safety and well-being of His/Her co-workers.
Reports safety hazards to Supervisor and Maintenance.
Trains and coaches employees.
Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
Check production output according to specifications
Completes employee performance evaluation forms and conducts employee performance evaluation meetings
Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards
Performs any other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
At least high school diploma
Experience:
3+ years’ direct experience with softgel manufacturing, including compounding, is required.
Familiarity with a softgel manufacturing process is a must.
Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach.
Some mechanical experience is preferred.
Ability to read and write English.
Ability to understand and follow all company SOPs and cGMP guidelines.
Intermediate math skills (Multiplication, Division, Conversions and understanding weights and measures).

POSITION SUMMARY
Performs inspection of raw materials, packaging components, intermediates, 3rd party bulks and finished goods
for compliance to our established Acceptable Quality Limits (AQL). Pulling samples from each lot of materials for
testing and retention. Adherence to applicable standard operating procedures (SOP), Good Documentation
Practices (GDP) and Common Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) as applicable to individual tasks. Maintains
Master Incoming Inspection Tracker, a shared business tool, to ensure visibility of all material status’ throughout
their release cycle period
Performs staging of raw materials, packaging components, intermediates, 3rd party bulks and finished goods for
the QA Inspection Team; Returns inspected products back to the warehouse racks after inspection and assists in
ensuring all materials have a disposition affixed to every pallet and support changing the disposition markers as
the material’s status changes. Maintain safety practices and Forklift Certification, as required for this position.

and priority specified
4. Prints and/or completes all required documentation in the applicable sampling specification report and on
an Inventory Card. Documents any quality-related product findings on the sampling and/or inspection
report
5. Affix disposition placards on all pallet on all lot of material that has been inspected by QA and or by the
QC Lab (when appropriate) and the same disposition on the Inventory Card
6. Updates and maintains the Master Incoming Inspection Tracker for the inspection results, date and
inspection reports (where applicable)
7. Reports any general safety hazards to Materials and Compliance Specialist, QA Manager, QA Director
8. Performs any other duties assigned by Supervisor or Manager, to include and not limited to, retrieving
retention samples, or pulling extra samples, as per management’s request, in the time frame and priority
requested
9. Performs weekly and monthly tasks that include and are not limited to, replacing chart recorders, settling
plates, destruction of raw materials… as needed.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

● Experience Required: 2+ years
● Forklift certified (standing and sitting)

● Effective communication skills, including ability to read and write in English (Bi-lingual language skills in
Spanish, helpful but not required)
● Previous QA experience highly preferred
● Flexibility in work hours preferred
● Team player, excellent work ethics and able to multitask, attention to details as well as flexibility to
changing priorities
