Executive Assistants at NPR are highly functioning valuable team members responsible for providing executive-level administrative support to various senior level staff members. They work both independently and as a team to efficiently support executive level staff and all with whom they interact. They play a critical role in ensuring NPR operates efficiently and they provide the highest level of service to internal and external customers by approaching all tasks with the client in mind and by being respectful, knowledgeable, proactive, efficient, and professional -- whether in person, via phone or e-mail. They serve as the face of their respective departments with internal and external customers and visitors.
NPR’s Member Partnership team is responsible for supporting the overall business and strategic relationship with NPR’s network of more than 240 local public media Member organizations, and dozens of other affiliated entities.. The team also works with all divisions at NPR to develop and communicate best practices, solutions and strategies for growing audience service and support for the Member network.

Hourly Rate: The U.S.-based anticipated salary range for this opportunity is $34.35-$35.35 per hour, plus benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salaries NPR expects to provide for new hires for the position across all US locations.

NPR is seeking an experienced and highly resourceful Executive Assistant to the Chief Development Officer (CDO) to provide strategic administrative support in a high-impact environment. This role is vital in supporting the CDO by managing complex scheduling, high-level communications, and cross-functional coordination while exercising exceptional judgement and discretion.
Attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously will be key in supporting the CDO’s daily operations and maximizing their productivity. Success in this role will contribute significantly to the smooth operation of the Office of the CDO.

Millions of listeners depend on Morning Edition and Up First to set the news agenda that starts their day. We deliver the latest international and national news stories paired with analysis to help put those headlines into context. Morning Edition is also a platform for accountability through interviews with government officials and decision makers who make or influence policy that affect peoples’ lives. The show also features cultural conversations that bring joy and provoke thoughtful discussions about who we are in this world.
An Editor II pitches multiplatform coverage and interview ideas; chases, books and scripts interviews with reporters and guests that are done by the hosts live on the show, in the podcast or in a pre-recorded taping. The Editor II will also be assigned to edit those radio scripts, recorded interviews or other stories, which may also appear on video, that will be published on NPR owned and operated platforms as well as other sites.
This Editor II is expected to work a shift scheduled from approximately 3pm - 11:30pm ET / 12pm - 8:30pm PT. However, like other staff on Morning Edition, this position sometimes requires filling in on other shifts throughout the day as needed, including on holidays..
As with any editor at Morning Edition and Up First, an Editor II frames stories and offers structural input and line edits. They are familiar with the AP style of news writing and are expected to help the staff they work with meet NPR standards.
Other assignments or shifts may include executing and managing the editorial and operational direction of the live show or podcast with supervision. On occasion, this Editor II may be assigned to travel with a host to report from the field.
This is a union represented role covered under the terms of a collective bargaining agreement with SAG-AFTRA.
This is an NPR editorial role covered under the terms of the NPR Ethics Handbook. All editorial staff are bound by this guidance. Editorial staff are defined as staff members who play a role in shaping the journalistic or creative direction of NPR's content, including events.

NPR's National Desk is seeking an experienced, versatile and enterprising correspondent to cover Florida and the Southeast. This means having expertise in reporting on everything from extreme weather and the environment to Southern culture and diaspora communities, producing high-level journalism that resonates with a national audience on multiple platforms (radio, text, video, podcasts). Coverage should be people-focused, explaining how news events are relevant to the lives of real people and what’s at stake.
The correspondent will be expected to travel throughout Florida, the U.S. and overseas to cover breaking news outside of their beat when needed. Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) is strongly preferred. A successful candidate for this job also should be able to take on editing duties when needed.

NPR seeks an Audio Engineering Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at our broadcast facilities in Washington, D.C. This includes managing a team of audio engineers and allocating resources to support NPR’s content creation. This position is responsible for a wide range of technical and logistical duties, which include responding to 24x7x365 production and scheduling requests and rotating on-call duties during nights, weekends, and holidays. While primary responsibility for this role is associated with supervision of NPR’s Washington, D.C. based Audio Engineering team, this role will be part of a geographically distributed management group that collaborates to oversee Audio Engineering across NPR Headquarters and our bureaus in New York and Los Angeles, sharing on-call and backfill duties with both DC-based and bureau colleagues.
The successful candidate will be a proactive, collaborative individual with a background in audio engineering, broadcasting and audio/video podcasting, the ability and desire to learn new skills and technologies, and a belief in the mission of NPR. A history of empathetic leadership, interdisciplinary cooperation, and developing staff are key components of this position.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in broadcast engineering, content production, communications, or management
Hybrid Permitted: This is a hybrid permitted role. Some aspects of this role include duties that are better performed at an NPR facility. The employee will be required to be in the office at the Washington, D.C. location at least 2 days a week. The employee must also reside in an NPR-supported location based on the number of on-site days they choose.
This is a full-time, exempt position.
Salary Range: The U.S. based anticipated salary range for this opportunity is $124,200 - $136,000 plus benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salaries NPR expects to provide for new hires for the position across all US locations.

NPR seeks a strategic and entrepreneurial Senior Director of Principal Giving to lead and expand the organization’s principal gifts program. This role will focus on identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors capable of making transformational commitments of $5 million and above.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Development, the Senior Director will play a central role in building a robust pipeline of principal gift prospects and guiding strategies that align donor passion with NPR’s mission to create a more informed public. The role requires exceptional relationship management skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to partner closely with senior leadership, newsroom leaders, and the NPR Board.
The Senior Director will personally manage a portfolio of the organization’s significant philanthropic relationships while building systems and strategies that deepen the pipeline for future transformational giving.
