As our Lead Software Engineer, you’ll help design and evolve the systems that ingest, process, and transform large volumes of unstructured content into structured, high-quality data. You’ll collaborate closely with teammates across Product, Search, Data Science, and Platform to build scalable, reliable data pipelines that power core platform experiences.

What You’ll do:

• Design, build, and evolve high-throughput data pipelines that ingest and transform large volumes of unstructured content into structured and enriched datasets
• Drive technical direction and architectural decisions across ingestion systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability
• Improve data quality, correctness, and enrichment workflows to support downstream systems such as Search and Data Science
• Build and operate distributed, event-driven systems and streaming pipelines with strong observability and fault tolerance
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Data Science, Search, and Platform teams to deliver high-quality data that powers customer-facing features
• Mentor and support engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing, raising the overall engineering bar
• Identify and lead high-impact technical initiatives, balancing speed of delivery with system stability and long-term health

To be set up for success in this role, you’ll need to have:

• 8+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
• Experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems, data pipelines, or event-driven architectures at scale
• Strong proficiency in Python or a similar backend programming language
• Experience building and maintaining microservices that are reliable, observable, and scalable
• Experience working with streaming technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, or similar systems
• Experience with APIs and service communication patterns such as gRPC and Protocol Buffers
• Experience working with large-scale data systems or high-throughput SaaS platforms
• Expertise with relational or search databases such as MySQL, Postgres, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch
• Experience making technical tradeoffs in distributed systems related to performance, reliability, and maintainability

We’re looking for a collaborative, self-motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps team.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll help enable the broader engineering organization to do high-impact work by building and improving the infrastructure, tooling, and deployment systems they rely on every day. You’ll contribute to the development of standardized infrastructure and “paved paths” that make it easier to provision, deploy, and operate services reliably at scale.

You’ll collaborate closely with application engineering teams to ensure our container-based infrastructure is scalable, cost-efficient, and dependable across a wide range of workloads.

What You'll Do

• Partner with DevOps and application engineering teams to design and improve standardized infrastructure, deployment workflows, and CI/CD pipelines
• Build, operate, and continuously improve our containerized infrastructure, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Bring deep expertise in Kubernetes and its ecosystem, helping define best practices and support adoption across engineering teams
• Manage and evolve cloud infrastructure on AWS, including compute, networking, and storage systems
• Improve observability, monitoring, and incident readiness across production systems
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation (approximately 1 week every 5 weeks), responding to and resolving production incidents
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge to improve engineering practices and operational maturity across the organization

To Be Set Up for Success in This Role, You'll Need to Have

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Solid experience working with AWS (e.g., EKS, S3, IAM, RDS, VPC, Route53)
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, or Argo CD
• Experience working with containerized systems such as Docker and containerd
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices and modern approaches to securing infrastructure, including shift-left principles
• Experience operating and scaling high-traffic systems and large-scale data platforms in production environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to debugging and system design
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a distributed environment

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Reporting & Insights Team. This team builds the reporting and analytics capabilities that help customers understand the reach, impact, and performance of their media coverage and communications efforts.

In this role, you will design and develop product features that power reporting, insights, and data analysis across the platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

You will also help maintain and improve the systems that support our reporting infrastructure while contributing to a collaborative engineering culture focused on quality and continuous improvement.
