As an AWS Software Engineer II at Kapitus, you will play a pivotal role in driving impactful solutions for intricate business challenges within a dynamic and high-energy delivery setting. You will be spearheading a transformative initiative aimed at optimizing our operational workflows and bolstering overall efficiency. Operating within an Agile development team, you will not only engage closely with fellow developers but also interact with key business stakeholders. Your expertise will extend beyond coding, as you will actively contribute to cross-team collaboration efforts, influencing the broader success of our projects.
What you will do:
- Participate in technical design sessions to identify/document technical solutions.
- Develop microservices with AWS serverless architecture.
- Function as a trusted advisor with a consultative mindset in interactions with stakeholders.
- Help build and maintain a best-in-class team culture through partnership, open dialogue, and transparent feedback.
- Drive continual improvement to the efficiency and flexibility of the systems while keeping a high bar for customer trust, performance, and availability.
- Provide technical direction to junior engineers on the team.
- Support legacy code as needed while building out the future state systems and solutions.
What we are looking for:
- BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 4-8 years of hands-on development experience using modern programming languages including NodeJS and Python
- Looking specifically for experience with designing & implementing both REST & event based services using AWS tool suite including Lambda functions, Event Bridge, DynamoDB, API Gateway, IAM, etc.
- Experience implementing and supporting SaaS/Cloud software solutions including developing/supporting functionality to integrate with internal systems.
- Experience developing with AWS services: Lambdas, SQS, SNS, Event Bridge, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EC2, IAM, STS
- Experience working with both non-relational and multiple relational database platforms (RDS)
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven history of working in Agile development environment
- Experience with developing and deploying APIs (must have)
- Experience building infrastructure with Cloud Formation Templates (CFTs)
- A creative and analytical problem solver focused on translating complex business problems into architecturally sound technical solutions.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in lending or financial services domains
- AWS Solutions Architect or Developer Certification
- Experience with SCRUM, SAFE, and Test-Driven Development
- Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to understand requirements, discuss software product features, technical designs and product strategy.
Kapitus Total Rewards Package Includes:
- Competitive Base Salary Range of $96,300-$154,400 Kapitus is providing this as a good faith salary range to comply with applicable law. The applicant’s final salary will depend on a number of factors including the applicant’s geographic location, skills, and experience.

As a Salesforce Tech Lead/Software Engineer III at Kapitus, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic development team in the design, development, and implementation of scalable, cloud-native services on Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud) in alignment with Kapitus business goals. Your contribution will empower Kapitus to continue helping small business owners find lending options so they can make payroll during tough times, scale to meet market demands, and make large purchases to scale their operations.
What you will do:
- Take ownership of the end-to-end service development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring high-quality deliverables within specified timelines.
- Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to design scalable, resilient Salesforce solutions that align with business goals and follow platform best practices and industry standards.
- Lead and mentor the development team, promote collaboration and continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to established DevOps processes.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, performance optimization, and maintainability. Implement robust testing strategies to uphold product quality.
- Design, develop, and support end-to-end Salesforce solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and high-performing—including custom development using Apex, Triggers, LWC, and Visualforce, as well as integrations with external systems via middleware and Salesforce APIs.
- Create and maintain technical designs, process flows, architectural diagrams, and related documentation to support Salesforce solutions and guide development efforts.
- Diagnose and resolve application issues by performing root cause analysis and delivering effective fixes for functional and performance-related defects.
- Drive agile development practices within the team, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, to ensure efficient delivery and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, and operations, to ensure alignment of development efforts with overall business objectives.
- Apply Salesforce industry experience and best practices to design and deliver solutions for complex business problems, while staying current with new platform features, releases, and industry trends.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, including roles as a Tech Lead or Senior/Staff Developer, with a strong emphasis on Salesforce development and configuration.
- Extensive experience integrating Salesforce with third-party systems, with in-depth knowledge of Salesforce SOAP API, REST API, and BULK API.
- Strong hands-on experience developing custom solutions on the Salesforce platform using Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, Triggers, Batch Apex, JavaScript, Visualforce and comprehensive unit testing for both Apex and LWC.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security, and governance.
- Experience with DevOps tools (Git, SFDX, CI/CD).
- In-depth understanding of agile methodologies and experience leading agile teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience designing and developing solutions on Salesforce Experience Cloud including customizations and integrations tailored for portal users is highly preferred.
- Salesforce developer and architect certifications are preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce AI capabilities and Agentforce is a plus.
- Experience in the financial industry and with AWS is a plus.
