Role Roadmap

As a Systems Administrator, you’ll be a key technical force behind our end-user tech stack—owning everything from cloud services and identity management to endpoint configuration and support infrastructure. About the Role

As a Paralegal in the Legal Department, you’ll serve as a key operational partner to Kalshi’s legal and compliance teams. About the Role

As Payments Lead, you’ll own the full lifecycle of payments at Kalshi — from strategy to hands-on execution. Role Roadmap

We are looking for an outlier Product Designer to help craft the experience of prediction markets through elegant and simple UX and delightful product interactions. You will own the core customer journeys, including how our users discover, research, trade, manage their positions in, and reference prediction markets. Your role will push you to be close to customers and to bring creative solutions to their needs, including the ones they’re not aware of.

What you’ll do

• Create awe: build delightful product experiences that make our customers go from liking the product to loving it.
• Simplify and distill: promote accessibility to Kalshi and take complicated financial actions and turn them into elegant, simple, and easy to understand product flows. 
• Research and talk to customers: refine and improve our understanding of our customers and their needs, including those they’re not aware of. 
• Rapidly produce concepts and prototypes: apply an experimental and iterative  mindset to design and solution exploration.

What we’re looking for: 

Attributes: 

• 5+ years of experience in product design
• A compelling portfolio showcasing your ability to craft delightful product experiences (show us!)

Role Roadmap

As our first product manager, you will be responsible for delivering delightful product experiences and building stuff people love (yes.. it does sound like a founder’s role and that’s not unintentional 🙃). 

We are looking for high output, consumer-focused, and growth-oriented thinkers to help solve some of the most complex customer facing challenges ahead of us. Your mandate is simple: discover the most intuitive way to present prediction markets to people and spearhead them into mainstream adoption. You will work with design, engineering, operations, markets, growth, and data to elevate our current product experience, and define and deliver new ideas to life, end-to-end. 

What you’ll do:

• Execute against the product vision: building an intuitive gateway into prediction markets.
• Obsess over our customers and their interactions with our product to deepen our understanding of their needs (including needs they don’t know to ask for).
• Own how our users discover, engage, research, trade, and manage their positions.
• Working with engineers, designers, data scientists, and growth marketers to craft delightful product experiences.
• Work with the founders to establish the product roadmap and prioritize projects based on what would deliver the most value to customers. 
• Define, collect, and track metrics (both quantitative and qualitative) for product initiatives.
• Work with growth to craft the story around our new initiatives and drive successful product launches.

What we’re looking for:

Role Roadmap

As our go to data person at Kalshi, you build and operate the full data stack at Kalshi. This role is one part data engineering, one part data analysis.

Some of the projects you may work on:

• Partner closely across the business to find improvements/opportunities and influence decisions using data science methodologies and tools
• Drive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources and pipelines
• Build actionable KPIs, create production-quality dashboards and notebooks to convey insights
• Analyze large, complex datasets to extract insights and decide on the appropriate techniques and data representation
• Define and advance best practices within an experiment-driven culture
• Inform product engineering roadmap through analysis of marketplace, user behavior, and product trends

Technology:

Our tech stack includes Python, SQL, DBT for data analytics and pipelining, pipelining and machine learning, Spark for big data processing, and visualization through Superset. We leverage cloud platforms such as AWS for scalable data storage and computational needs.

What you’ll do:

• Partner with backend engineering teams to design, develop and implement large scale, high volume, high performance data models and pipelines for Data Lake and Data Warehouse
• Design and maintain robust ETL processes, focusing on data quality, error handling, and automated monitoring while continuously optimizing performance and resource utilization
• Work with product teams to identify gaps in our end-to-end data insights workflow and lead engineering efforts to improve it
• Partner with data scientists to implement and optimize feature engineering pipelines, support experimentation workflows, and build scalable infrastructure for model deployment and training data preparation
• Build intuitive internal tools and dashboards that enable operations and growth teams to efficiently query and analyze data without requiring deep technical expertise

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience, with 4+ years of hands-on software development
• Strong command of key programming languages (Python, Golang, Java)
• Proven track record in data pipeline development using modern orchestration tools (Airflow, Flink, Dagster)
• Production experience with real-time data streaming platforms like Apache Kafka and Flink
• Hands-on expertise with major cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift) and traditional databases like PostgreSQL
• Strong data visualization skills using industry-standard tools (Tableau, Superset, Looker)
• Proven track record of taking initiative and thriving in fast-paced environments
• Sharp analytical skills with a focus on market dynamics and consumer insights
• Passionate about your craft and committed to delivering exceptional results

• Spearheaded data engineering initiatives for a high-growth consumer platform, delivering end-to-end data solutions from ingestion to insights

Role Roadmap

We are building a next-generation financial ecosystem (think NYSE or CME from scratch). As part of Kalshi, you will work on various platforms, including core exchange, clearinghouse, API infrastructure, connectivity to brokers and market makers, and others. We are a small team, which means your responsibilities scale very rapidly, and your contributions are clear and visible, not marginal. There is still a lot of green field at Kalshi and a low of it (including entire systems) can be yours. As an infra engineer, you will help build and scale all things on the infrastructure layer and DevOps at Kalshi. 

Some of your responsibilities include; 

• Provide the infrastructure to automate and standardize how software is built, versioned and deployed to target environments
• Provide infrastructure and tooling to automate test development and execution up and down the testing pyramid, including unit, API, and integration testing
• Design large-scale systems, making the right tradeoffs for risk and long-term maintainability.
• Help develop and maintain the infrastructure for high-performance data feeds and trading APIs for clients.
• High guarantee and availability clearing systems, including margining, collateral management, and banking integrations
• Stress test large-scale critical systems to ensure their robustness and maintainability
• Ship fast and with high quality
• Make decisions: we give a lot of flexibility, which also means no spoon-feeding.

About you

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong aspiration to learn and communication skills.
• Strong technical grasp and ability to tackle complex engineering problems that deliver results. 
• Strong familiarity with AWS, k8s, terraform, RDS, Kafka, load balancing, etc.
• History of creating and applying new processes and tooling to increase engineering efficiency.
• Lead with experience planning and driving large projects with long-term impact on a single system or team.
• Excellent judgment on task prioritizations
• Growth mindset, with a high slope and eagerness to lean
• Love of the craft: you genuinely care and put your all into your work
• Can ship at incredible speed (very simple)
• Have strong experience or knowledge in either of the following areas:
• Networking: demonstrated experience in debugging networking issues.
• Security: have certificates like CISSP, CISM

• Proven experience building deployment systems in k8s.
• Proven experience building dev/test environments in k8s.
• Proven experience building dynamic configuration systems.

Role Roadmap

We are looking for a Video Editor who is passionate about creating viral social media content, including TikTok and other user-generated content. We have a massive nationwide campaign coming up that will involve hundreds of videos being created. This role will be crucial to the success of the campaign.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Edit and produce high-quality, engaging social media videos, including UGC TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Collaborate with our creative and social teams to ideate, plan, and execute video content that will go viral.
• Transform raw footage into polished, short-form video content that’s optimized for social media.
• Stay up-to-date with social media video trends, techniques, and best practices to ensure content resonates with our audience.
• Ability to film or capture content is a plus—helping guide shoots or even capturing footage on occasion.

Who You Are:

You love making super high quality engaging videos and have made many viral videos yourself. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are obsessed with crafting content that engages and excites audiences.

Some basic requirements:

• Experience making videos that have gone viral.
• 2+ years of experience in video editing, specifically for social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
• Proven ability to create highly engaging and viral content.
• A creative mindset with a keen understanding of storytelling, pacing, and the latest video trends.
• Experience in editing short-form, fast-paced videos for social media audiences.
• Experience with sound editing, color correction, and motion graphics is a plus.
• Bonus: Experience in filming content or directing video shoots.
