Job purpose: 

The Solutions Engineer is a critical member of the Product team, responsible for enabling the integration and optimization of Janes interconnected intelligence capabilities across the customer base. Working within the Product Solutions team, you will support the deployment, configuration, and enhancement of Janes data across a variety of systems, platforms, and mission-critical capabilities.

This role focuses on enabling Janes data within individual systems, facilitating interoperability with third-party and customer datasets, and aligning with Customer’s AI, intelligence and data requirements. You will help define and document data standards, technical specifications, and integration pathways to improve customer outcomes and drive innovation.

You will contribute to high-impact customer and partner projects across Europe and NATO, helping shape the future of Janes technical estate - including our graph knowledgebase, intelligence products, and supporting infrastructure. Your work will have a direct impact on national security and defence capability.

• System Integration: Support the integration of Janes data and models into customer systems of record, ensuring seamless functionality and operational relevance.
• Product Delivery: Assist in the development and delivery of Janes Interconnected Intelligence products, capturing and aligning where possible with standards and technical expectations.
• Customer Advisory: Provide remote and on-site technical advisory services to customers, offering guidance on data attributes, integration strategies, and system optimization.
• Ontology & Model Development: Advise on the evolution of Janes data models and ontologies to ensure compatibility and seamless integration with customer ecosystems.
• Gap Analysis: Identify and prioritize unmet data requirements critical to customer adoption and mission success.
• Strategic Expansion: Explore adjacent content and data domains for potential expansion - either organically or via acquisition - to deepen Janes relevance and support for customer missions.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor and report on partner and competitor activity within customer to identify opportunities for collaboration, expansion, or risk mitigation.
• Presales & Bids: Support technical presales engagements, bid responses, and proposal submissions with subject matter expertise and solution design input.

The ideal skills and experience for this role are: 

• Technical Proficiency: 

• • Proficient in Python, including SDKs, APIs, and data engineering best practices.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with at least one of the following technologies: ArcGIS, Palantir, RDBMS, Graph Databases. 
  • Understanding of data models and/or ontologies
  • Experience in data integration, system interoperability or technical advisory roles—preferably within defence and intelligence sectors.

• Back-End & Infrastructure: 

• • Experience with Docker, Elasticsearch Palantir graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, ArangoDB, GraphDB).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and services, particularly AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, etc.).
  • Background in backend or frontend architecture and development.

The purpose of the Head of Platforms and Channels Product Manager role is to define, own, and evolve Janes’ platform and distribution channel strategy and requirements to ensure our products are scalable, reliable, and consistently deliver value to customers across all touchpoints.

This role is accountable for the product vision and roadmap of core platforms and customer-facing channels, driving customer renewal rates, sales, and satisfaction.

The Head of Platforms and Channels Product Manager is a senior member of the Product team, reporting to the Chief Product Officer (CPO). The role works closely with Technology, Research, Sales, and Customer Success to align platform capabilities and channel experiences with business strategy, customer needs, and long-term growth objectives.

Success in the Head of Platforms and Channels Product Manager role includes:

• Using customer feedback, usage data, and business metrics to guide prioritisation and continuous improvement
• Defining and owning the vision and roadmap for Janes’ core platforms and customer channels, aligned with company strategy

• Significant experience (10+ years) in Product Management, including ownership of online and offline channels
• Proven experience defining and delivering product strategy and roadmaps for complex, multi-team environments
• Strong understanding of platform product management, including scalability, reuse, and internal customer needs
• Experience in customer migrations off technical debt and retiring platforms
• Experience working closely with Engineering teams, writing user stories and working with Engineering to implement.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior and executive level (including the CPO and CTO)
• Ability to use data, metrics, and customer insights to inform prioritisation and decision-making
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate strategy and trade-offs

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our product development team and play a key role in shaping enterprise-level Unclassified (OSINT) data products. This role requires strong expertise in business and data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and Agile delivery, with the ability to bridge complex business needs with technical execution.

You will be working as part of a multi-functional team based in Croydon reporting to Demand Management Director, shaping our demands and deliverables within our Single Intelligence Environment. You should be self-motivated, a natural problem solver, and used to operating at a high-performance level, acting as a main driver feeding the teams with quality specifications.

How you will contribute at Janes: 

• Partner with colleagues in Product, RD&A and Development functions to capture and refine business and functional requirements.
• Deliver high-quality product specifications for data products, ensuring alignment with Janes and overall technology strategy.
• Perform in-depth analysis of Product requirements, data flows, and system integrations to inform product design.
• Break down epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria and definitions of “done.”

The ideal skills and experience for this role are: 

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in data product environments.
• Strong experience in business and data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and Agile delivery.
• Deep understanding of enterprise web applications, APIs, and DevOps practices.
• Experience of working in data modelling with data architects and data quality analysis
• Hands on experience working with APIs, relational /Non-relational D/Bs using scripting languages and/or other tools to draw insights/analysis
• Working knowledge of data platforms involving ETLs (e.g. medallion architecture)
• Working knowledge of AWS Cloud platforms and services
• Passion for data and highly data literate
• Excellent networking skills with a desire to work collaboratively to achieve goals; experience of working in multidisciplinary agile teams
