As a Language Arts Curriculum Designer for the Print & Instruction team, you'll help design and review print materials for IXL and Education.com, working with contract writers and worksheet creators to produce engaging, high-quality materials. Your strong writing skills, educational insight, creative solutions, and commitment to quality will make personalized learning a reality for millions of students.
This position requires you to be in our Raleigh, NC, area office.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Design clear, engaging, high-quality language arts worksheets and activities for K–8 language arts for Education.com
- Support the development of multi-subject workbooks for grades 6–9, ensuring that content is effective, well written, fun, accurate, and age appropriate
- Collaborate with writers, editors, and graphic designers to produce these materials
- Edit materials for grammar, style, accuracy, and text level
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field
- Experience with middle school language arts instruction or curriculum development
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills

- Ensure visual designs are clear, engaging, and meet quality standards

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As a Software Engineer, you will build the back-end wiring, application logic, and UI that engage our users. You will find and use the best technologies to add features and create new products. You’ll be involved in all aspects of the development process – including design, coding, testing, debugging, and tuning. You will own your projects from start to end as they travel through our fast-paced development cycle. In addition to working with your fellow engineers, you’ll collaborate with other teams to design amazing products that meet the needs of our users, who are students and teachers all over the world.
TECHNOLOGY
Our server-side stack currently includes Linux, Apache, Java, Scala, Python, and Oracle. For our iOS app development, we use Swift. Our front-end code is written in JavaScript (including the React and D3 libraries, and ES6). Of course, the specific technologies and languages you use will vary by project and according to your own interests or specialization areas.

In this role, you'll work closely with contract aligners and our curriculum design team to implement our alignment strategy. You'll support the creation of skill plans that pair IXL skills with U.S. state standards, textbooks, assessments, and other curriculum documents.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Coordinate the development of skill plans following our established project guidelines
- Support other team members with alignment work, including with research, setup, review, and QA
- Assign and monitor projects for contract aligners who create and maintain alignment documents for our K-12 math, ELA, science, social studies, and Spanish content
- Track customer requests, research standards and textbooks, and maintain internal skill plan information
- Review new skill plans for quality and style; incorporate feedback from other team members to ensure high-quality alignments
- Learn to use in-house tools to create and release alignments, including formatting alignment spreadsheets to meet our technical requirements
- Work with our production and engineering teams to troubleshoot bugs and fix errors in data formatting
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Education, Math, English, or a related field
- Experience with K-12 academic standards is preferred
- Proficiency with math concepts through Algebra 2 is preferred; experience with ELA, science, or social studies is a plus

- Identify and operationalize Seller promotions including researching and recommending resources and community members for marketing activations
- Manage the day-to-day logistics of special programs for TPT’s Seller community, including internal collaboration and external vendor coordination, and coordinate virtual and in-person events

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Learn the basics of our in-house production tools to enter the data that creates our IXL skills and skill plans
- Enter data and format spreadsheets with close attention to detail
- Proof-read content, spotting and resolving inconsistencies or errors
- Participate in additional projects as needed, including learning the basics of XML to format content written by curriculum designers for use in interactive lessons.
- Rapidly implement edits to ensure our content is of the highest quality
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, while consistently producing high-quality work
- Understand our project requirements and use them to create guidelines, processes, and documentation to support a growing team
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in mathematics, English, education or a related field
- Ability to quickly master new guidelines and learn to use internal tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail is required; prior proofreading/editing and data entry experience is preferred
- Creative eye for formatting and design; experience with graphic design is a plus
- Passion for improving education through technology
