Finance Intern – Rotational Programme (Manchester) 

Gain a front-row seat to how finance operates at scale. As a Finance Intern in our Manchester Global Finance Services (shared services center), you’ll rotate across Order to Cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (PTP), and Record to Report (RTR), building a complete picture of how finance teams operate within a global organisation. 

This isn’t a single-team internship - you’ll work across multiple functions, contribute to real financial processes, and develop both technical and analytical skills that form the foundation of a finance career. 

What you’ll be doing 

During your internship, you will rotate across different areas of finance and support a variety of activities, including: 

Order to Cash (OTC) – Revenue, Billing, and Collections 

• Support billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition processes  

• Assist with aged debtors and cash collection tracking  

• Maintain client purchase orders and approvals in Oracle  

Procure to Pay (PTP) - Supplier and Spend Management 

• Support supplier invoice processing and query resolution  

• Assist with purchase order management and controls  

• Help ensure accurate and timely payment cycles  

Record to Report (RTR) – Financial Control & Reporting 

• Contribute to  month-end close activities, including reconciliations  

• Assist in maintaining financial records and journal postings  

• Contribute to reporting and audit preparation  

Across all rotations: 

• Produce weekly and monthly reports (e.g. reconciliations, contract lists, missing data checks)  

• Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and improvement opportunities  

• Support process improvements and data quality initiatives  

• Work with Oracle and other finance systems to maintain accurate records

• 2nd year student, currently studying Finance, Accountancy, Data Analytics, or a related field

• Comfortable working with large datasets and identifying trends or issues  

• High attention to detail and a focus on accuracy  

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment  

• Proactive, curious, and willing to take ownership of tasks  

• Strong communication skills and confidence working with different teams 

Previous finance or accounting experience is beneficial but not essential.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated Accountant to join our Global Financial Services (GFS) organization. This role plays a critical part in supporting the financial operations of the business, with a focus on centralised revenue recognition processes. You will contribute to process excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement in a dynamic and evolving environment.

This is a hybrid role based in our central Manchester office on a hybrid basis (2 days per week), reporting to the Global Revenue Controller.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Transition: Partner with local finance teams to transition processes through documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Month-End Close Activities: Drive the monthly close including journals, reviewing revenue-related schedules and reconciliations, and running and distributing reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements, efficiencies, simplification opportunities and automation initiatives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate cross-functionally to support the central revenue recognition process, resolve issues, respond to internal and external queries and build strong relationships.
• Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to SLAs, finance policies, statutory requirements, and internal controls including SOX compliance.
• Team Culture: Foster a high-performance, collaborative and inclusive culture
• Other: Perform other duties as required.

What You Bring to the Role

• Experience: 3+ years in general ledger or revenue accounting, understanding of the order to cash cycle is a benefit. Preferably qualified accountant.

Data & Analytics Intern – Finance | Manchester 

Join Global Finance Services, our finance shared services team, in Manchester and help transform how data drives decision-making across a global organisation.This role sits within our finance function and will support teams across Order to Cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (PTP), and Record to Report (RTR) by delivering high-quality data analysis, reporting, and insights. You’ll play a key role in helping improve data visibility, accuracy, and decision-making across the department. 

This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of meaningful projects, not just support tasks. You’ll gain exposure to large, complex datasets and play a key role in improving how finance operates at scale.It is an excellent opportunity for a student looking to apply data skills in a real-world finance environment within a fast-paced, global organisation.

Credit Controller - 12month FTC

You will play a crucial part in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions, contributing to the financial health of the organization. The Credit Control/OTC Analyst will manage cash receipts, reconciling bank accounts, overseeing intercompany processes, and analyze customer accounts.

Reporting to the Team Lead – Order to Cash (OTC), you will collaborate with internal finance teams, customers, and partners to ensure accurate processing of payments. We are looking for an understanding of financial processes, strong communication skills, and the ability to work within a shared services environment.

As part of Inizio’s commitment to work-life balance, you will operate on a hybrid work model, requiring two days per week in the office. This flexibility allows for a balance between collaborative team interactions and focused independent work.

12month FTC

Play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and client satisfaction. As a Project Finance Analyst at Inizio, you’ll be responsible for managing the billing lifecycle of global client projects—ensuring invoices are accurate, timely, and aligned with contract terms. You’ll set up and maintain project data in ERP systems, reconcile client accounts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the end-to-end Order to Cash process. Reporting to a Project Finance Team Lead who may be based in Manchester, UK or Yardley, US this is a global Project Finance Analyst role within the Finance Shared Services Centre (FSSC). Hybrid working arrangements are in place.

Role Responsibilities

• Submit invoices to clients for processing.
• Responsible for the creation of accurate client invoices in compliance with contract terms and billing schedule.
• Reconcile activity on client accounts to understand historical invoicing against modifications of a contract
• Setup and maintain projects in ERP systems to support future invoicing and revenue accounting.
• Run and distribute project reports within agreed time frame, prepare final project reconciliations and close project records as advised by the customer.
• Meet monthly & quarterly close calendar deadlines to ensure all billing is processed in a timely manner
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support the order-to-cash process
• Participate in the handover of processes between SSC team and local finance teams through Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) documentation, knowledge capture and knowledge transfer.
• Promptly respond to information requests from internal and external stakeholders
• Comply with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Apply the company’s internal control environment (SOX or otherwise) to the Order to Cash function.
• Perform other duties as directed.
