Transportation Supervisor
The purpose of this position is to ensure the safe, cost effective, and compliant transportation of all Hydrite products via Hydrite’s private fleet. This position is part of the Hydrite Transportation Team.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Supports the Transportation Manager in the supervision of drivers and equipment
- Supports the Transportation Manager in ensuring internal fleet maintains compliance with DOT regulations, OSHA regulations, and Hydrite SOP’s and internal processes.
- Partners with operations management teams, Central Planning, and Customer Experience to ensure freight is delivered timely to our internal and external customers
- Reviews driver utilization, equipment utilization, and repair activity reports (including driver VCR’s) daily to ensure DOT compliance, fleet efficiency, and proper cost management.
- Review Samsara system daily. Monitor safety videos and HOS to ensure safe vehicle operation and DOT compliance. Escalate issues to Transportation Manager as needed.
- Support and answer operational/procedural questions from drivers
- Coach drivers on safety and operational best practices to drive ownership of HCC safety values, mission and vision.
- Perform regular SBV’s (Pre/Post trip observations and driver ride-alongs) to confirm adherence to DOT regulations and Hydrite SOP’s
- Assist Transportation Manager in coordinating equipment maintenance
- Drive retention initiatives through good hiring practices, employee engagement, and other company retention programs.
- Ensures the safe operation of the site’s private fleet.
- Provides quality service to all internal and external Hydrite customers.
- Drive safety messages to driver team (Weekly Toolbox Talks, Safety Blitz reports, etc)
- Attend and contribute to the Quarterly Safety Meeting presentation
- Must be available via phone during off-hours (nights, weekends). Most calls from drivers for call-off’s, equipment or load issues, etc.
- Assist Transportation Manager in onboarding new drivers
- Serves as back-up to the Transportation Manager
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITES
- Guides employee performance and development through the use of daily communication and performance evaluations.
- Upholds Hydrite’s Standard of Excellence through a continuous commitment to maintain quality facilities and provide quality products and services to internal and external customers
- Performs duties outlined in relevant SOPs and all other duties as assigned
- As representatives of Hydrite, all employees are required to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
- Works with other team members to maintain workload balances. Provides back-up support as necessary.
- Supports effective communication with all Hydrite departments where responsibilities overlap to ensure success of the site team.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
- This position reports to the Transportation Manager
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Candidates should have strong knowledge of dispatch operations, transportation management, and logistics solutions with a broad knowledge in DOT rules and regulations.
- Must have at least 1 year supervisory experience in a trucking or warehouse environment; bulk tank truck experience preferred.
- Experience working with a TMS and dispatching system highly preferred; experience with E2Open and Samsara systems preferred but not required.
- Must have strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, and possess the ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Associates degree is preferred.
- Basic mechanical understanding of CMV’s (tractors and chemical tankers) preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit for up to four hours at a time.
- Ability to sit up to 10 hours a day.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to climb into and out of truck and trailer
- Required travel less than 10%

Utility Driver
The primary purpose of this position is to function primarily as the yardman, positioning tankers, trailers, and help with forklift and warehouse duties as needed. In addition, this position will be responsible for material moves between 7300 and MK West. This position will uphold the Hydrite “Standards of Excellence” through continuous commitment to customer satisfaction, both internal and external.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Move tankers and trailers, with yard horse, at the 7300 location. This may include both the washing and weighing of tankers.
- Make product runs between 7300 and MK West, as needed.
- Perform all computer transactions on a daily basis to ensure proper visibility and accuracy in the Prism system.
- Fill in for vacations, making assigned deliveries, driving a straight truck, tractor trailer, or tanker.
- Inspect assigned unit daily. Report any items, including the personal safety kit, which need repair.
- Uphold Hydrite’s Standard of Excellence through a continuous commitment to maintain quality facilities and provide quality products and services to internal and external customers.
- Perform all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and all other duties to be assigned.
- All staff members are responsible for reporting food safety problems to their supervisor or the SQF Practitioner upon observation of a known or potential issue.
- Participate in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety and process training activities as required. Review changes/additions with your supervisor. Must be RCRA compliant.
- May be required to cover for other employees in the plant, warehouse or another driver as directed by the Transportation Supervisor.
- Works with other staff members to maintain workload balances. Provides back-up support, as necessary.
- Supports effective communication with all Hydrite departments where responsibilities overlap to ensure success of the branch team.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
- This position reports to the Distribution Manager
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must possess a valid CDL and current DOT physical certification with all necessary endorsements, including HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
- Must have an acceptable driving record.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Power Point, Word, and Excel required.
- Ability to operate a forklift; previous experience preferred.
- Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.

Class A CDL Driver
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction in an efficient and cost-effective manner, by delivering Hydrite products in a safe and timely manner. This position will uphold the Hydrite “Standards of Excellence” through continuous commitment to customer satisfaction, both internal and external.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspects assigned unit daily and reports any items, including the personal safety kit, which need repair or replacement. Keeps the unit clean and in good working condition.
- Reviews shipping papers and compares to lading to ensure that correct product is loaded, and all special instructions are followed.
- Delivers Hydrite product as assigned location, documenting any deviation, and reporting to Warehouse Supervisor.
- Picks up any empty Hydrite containers at each stop, if available.
- Uphold Hydrite’s Standard of Excellence through a continuous commitment to maintain quality facilities and provide quality products and services to internal and external customers.
- Perform all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and all other duties to be assigned.
- Participate in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety and process training activities as required. Review changes/additions with your supervisor. Must be RCRA compliant.
- Complies with all established SOPs, Safety and RCEP policies.
- Completes all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintains good housekeeping practices on trailer, tractor, and warehouse.
- Must manage any wastes in accordance with applicable SOPs, including labeling, storage, and profiling.
- Works with other staff members to maintain workload balances. Provide backup support as necessary.
- Supports effective communication with all Hydrite departments where responsibilities overlap to ensure success of the branch team.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
- This position will report to the Sr. Transportation Manager
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable DOT regulations as well as required licenses and permits.
- Must possess a valid CDL with HN endorsements and current DOT physical certification.
- Must have an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
- Ability to operate a forklift, previous experience preferred.
- Must be able to accurately transfer written and verbal information and enter data into existing computer system.
- Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work in an un-cooled warehouse facility where temperatures may reach 100° Fahrenheit.
- Ability to lift a 50-pound bag and carry it 50 feet up to 40 times/day.
- Ability to roll a 3325-pound cylinder the length of the trailer up to 5 times/day, 5 days/week.
- Ability to push a barrel cart holding up to 750 pounds up to 20 times/day.
- Ability to wear a respirator for up to 4 hours a day without restrictions. Please refer to the SOP for facial hair guidelines.
- Ability to meet DOT vision requirements.
- Due to safety concerns, the wearing of contact lenses is prohibited.

Class A CDL Driver
The primary purpose of this position is to deliver Hydrite products to our customers. This position will uphold the Hydrite “Standards of Excellence” through continuous commitment to customer satisfaction, both internal and external.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Uphold Hydrite’s Standard of Excellence through a continuous commitment to maintain quality facilities and provide quality products and services to internal and external customers
- Inspect unit daily and report any needed repairs to the Transportation Supervisor.
- Make assigned deliveries driving 45, 48 and 53’ trailers.
- Keep entire unit clean and in good working order.
- Deliver and pick up products and containers as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor.
- Review all shipping papers and verify that the load is correct and exactly as stated, including waste manifest and container labels. This includes proper use of BOL’s, certificates of Analyses, and waste Manifests per SOP’s.
- Follow assigned delivery sequence. Report any deviation immediately.
- Follow all special instructions on the pick list, bill of lading, or receiving list.
- To be knowledgeable in and comply with all company work and safety rules, motor carrier safety regulations, state weight laws, and environmental regulations.
- Perform all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and all other duties to be assigned.
- Participate in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety and process training activities as required. Review changes/additions with your supervisor. Must be RCRA compliant.

OPPORTUNITY
The primary purpose of this position is to deliver Hydrite bulk and/or packaged products to our customers. This position will uphold the Hydrite “Standards of Excellence” through continuous commitment to customer satisfaction, both internal and external.
As CDL Truck Driver, primary responsibilities include:
- Inspect unit daily and report any needed repairs to the Transportation Supervisor.
- Make assigned bulk or van deliveries adhering to the appropriate SOP’s.
- Keep entire unit clean and in good working order, including the trailers.
- Deliver and pick up products and containers as assigned by the Logistics Coordinator.
- Review all shipping papers and verify that the load is correct exactly as stated, including the container labels. This includes proper use of BOL’s and Certificates of Analyses.
- Follow assigned delivery sequence. Report any deviation immediately. Contact the Logistics Coordinator if you are delayed when making deliveries.
- Follow all special instructions on bill of lading, or as indicated by the Logistics Coordinator.
- Be knowledgeable in and comply with all company work and safety rules, motor carrier safety regulations, state weight laws, and environmental regulations.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
- This position reports to the Transportation Manager.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL CRITERIA
- Must have a valid Class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
- Prior experience hauling bulk tankers required.
- Must have an acceptable driving record.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Mandatory drug screening is part of the pre-employment process.
