Hover is hiring a Senior People Business Partner to serve as a strategic advisor to leaders across Design, Operations, Product, and Engineering. This role is critical to ensuring our people strategy evolves alongside the business as we scale. You’ll partner closely with senior leaders to shape org design, elevate leadership effectiveness, and embed strong performance and change practices across teams — with real influence and a consistent seat at the table.
You’ll act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders across Design, Operations, Product, and Engineering—helping them navigate complexity, make high-quality people decisions, and build healthy, high-performing teams. You’ll diagnose root causes, solve ambiguous problems, and bring clarity to areas where expectations, roles, or ways of working aren’t fully aligned. You will strengthen leadership capability, improve decision-making, and anticipate the people implications of changes before they surface. This includes coaching managers, addressing performance issues with nuance and rigor, and guiding teams through moments of transition. Above all, you’ll help leaders create sustainable systems, not one-off fixes.
In practice, you will:
Hover has Hubs in San Francisco and New York City, where we expect that all employees living within a 50-mile radius of our offices will come into their local Hover office at least three times a week to build rapport and foster organic connection. At this time, Hover is not considering fully remote roles.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $162,000 - $200,000 annually. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all applicable US locations. We're at an inflection point. Hover just closed one of our highest-output hiring quarters in recent company history — with one of our smallest recruiting teams — and we're building the model that will sustain that trajectory as the business scales toward its 2026 revenue goals. This role isn't about filling seats. It's about owning a process, contributing to a craft, and helping build something that genuinely works. If you're earlier in your recruiting career and looking for a place to grow quickly alongside experienced people who are invested in your development, this is that role. You'll operate in an environment where recruiting is respected, AI is already embedded in the workflow, and your instincts will be trusted from day one.
You'll own sourcing and pipeline development across tech and go-to-market roles, using tools like Juicebox and LinkedIn Recruiter to identify and engage passive talent. A significant part of your week will be spent in close partnership with hiring managers. You’ll be coaching them to engage more deeply with candidates, move pipelines with urgency, and contribute meaningfully to the recruiting process. When something in a pipeline isn't working, you won't default to doing more of the same — you'll slow down, ask the right questions, and find a smarter path forward. You'll also help advance a recruiting-as-a-product approach, treating hiring managers as active partners in building their own pipelines and networks rather than passive requestors waiting on results.

At Hover, 3D models aren’t just part of our product, they are the product. Every scan and data point we process helps homeowners, insurers, and contractors make confident, data-driven decisions. We’re looking for a Software Engineer who’s passionate about geometry, automation, and real-world impact. In this role, you’ll design and implement the systems that transform customer-captured imagery into highly accurate 3D models—advancing the scalability and precision of Hover’s modeling pipeline. You’ll collaborate closely with designers and engineers across frontend, backend, computer vision, and DevOps to bring new capabilities to life, combining technical depth with strong communication and cross-functional partnership.
The 3D Modeling Pipeline team builds the tools our in-house operations rely on to transform customer-captured scans into highly accurate, detailed 3D models of buildings. The team is also responsible for developing the pipeline and systems that process 3D data through automated and manual steps, and for exporting data to customer-facing formats.

Hover is looking for a Payroll Manager who wants to own something meaningful — not just run a process. This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, compliance, and continuous improvement, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time every cycle. You'll work directly with Accounting, HR, and Revenue Operations as a trusted partner, not a back-office function — Accounting at Hover has real visibility into how the business runs.
This is a high-autonomy IC role for someone who cares about precision but doesn't want to stay in a lane. You'll own the full payroll lifecycle, actively pursue automation, and bring AI and modern tooling into how we work. Over time, you'll expand into commissions and equity administration — two areas that will give you meaningful exposure to how a scaling tech company manages total compensation. If you want to go deep into accounting fundamentals while building something, this is that opportunity.
