As a Retail Operations Team Member at Gymshark's newly opened flagship store on Bond Street, New York City you'll be a true brand ambassador, embodying our culture and values in every interaction. Passionate about fitness and the Gymshark brand, you'll provide customers with expert product knowledge and exceptional service, ensuring they have an inspiring and empowering shopping experience. You’ll actively contribute to store operations, maintain a vibrant store environment, and work alongside your team.

PAY RANGE - The range is between $17.50-$19.00. The base pay offered is based on market, experience, and skills

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Be a role model in product expertise, operational best practices, and brand representation, while training and sharing knowledge with the wider team.
• Assist in stock management, deliveries, and replenishment to ensure the store is always ready to serve customers and capitalise on sales opportunities. 
• Ensure the safety and well-being of both customers and team members, adhering to health, safety, and loss prevention protocols at all times. 
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming space, addressing customer needs quickly and efficiently to uphold a seamless shopping experience. 
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by welcoming every community member with enthusiasm, ensuring they feel valued and inspired. 
• Feedback and contribute to a culture of continuous learning, both individually and as part of the team.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Retail Customer Service Excellence: Proven recent experience of working in a fast-paced retail store with the ability to engage with customers, understand their needs, and provide exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience. 
• Product Handling & Stock Management: Experience of assisting with inventory management, restocking shelves, and ensuring products are well-kept and properly displayed.
• Problem Solving: Ability to handle customer inquiries, complaints, or issues in a calm, professional manner while finding quick, effective solutions.
• Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing store needs, from new product arrivals to shifts in customer traffic and seasonal demands.
• Attention to Detail: Experience of ensuring the store is tidy, products are well-organised, and stock is accurately managed to create a welcoming shopping environment.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and working together to achieve store goals and deliver excellent service.
• Communication Skills: Clear, friendly, and effective communication with customers and team members to build rapport and share product information.
• Sales Goal Orientation – Motivated to meet individual and team sales targets, contributing to the overall success of the store.

  • Drive thoughtful product recommendations, membership conversations, and genuine value‑add moments.
  • Maintain high standards across VM, cleanliness, stock flow, and daily operational routines.
  • Stay calm under pressure, acting as keyholder and stepping in as the on‑duty leader when needed.
      

   ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Delivering a seamless, warm and human customer experience across the sales floor.
  • Resolving customer issues quickly and thoughtfully to protect the overall journey.
  • Communicating the day plan, targets and priorities clearly so the team stays aligned.

  • Completing daily operational routines with accuracy - including cash handling and H&S checks.
  • Acting as keyholder to open/close and following all safety and security procedures correctly.
  • Making fair, timely decisions when acting as the manager on duty, including escalations.
  • Prioritising workload effectively during peak trade or sudden changes.
  • Supporting stock flow, delivery processing, BOH organisation, and rapid replenishment.
  • Ensuring the team understands incentives, membership benefits and value‑add opportunities
  • Modelling great service and driving coaching moments that uplift skills and confidence.
  • Protecting both the customer and the team through calm, consistent problem‑solving.
  • Keeping communication strong between shop floor and operations throughout the day.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Recent experience in a retail leadership or senior sales‑floor role, with confidence guiding a team through busy trade.
• A natural ability to bring product to life - from styling and outfit building to simple, human recommendations.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach that keeps the team aligned and energised.
• Experience mentoring or coaching others, giving supportive feedback and helping people grow in‑role.
• A passion for the brand and a genuine interest in helping customers find products that suit their goals and lifestyle.
• A calm, positive and solutions‑focused mindset when handling challenges or escalations.
• Confidence using digital tools and retail systems to support operations and decision-making.
• High standards for presentation, organisation and keeping the shop floor looking its best.
• Comfort acting as a keyholder and stepping up as the on‑duty leader when required.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends, late nights and peak‑trade periods.

SALARY RANGE

This role has a pay range between $21.50 - $24.00. The base pay offered is based on market, experience, and skills.
