Establish Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, carriers, and logistics partners to effectively coordinate freight transportation.
Negotiate Rates: Negotiate competitive rates with carriers and shippers, ensuring that both parties achieve profitable agreements while maintaining service quality.
Manage Shipments: Coordinate all aspects of the shipment process, including booking loads, tracking shipments, and resolving any issues that arise during transit.
Documentation: Prepare and manage all necessary documentation, including bills of lading, contracts, and invoices to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Freight Tracking: Monitor shipments and provide timely updates to clients regarding shipment status, delays, or changes.
Problem-Solving: Address any logistical challenges or issues that arise during transportation, including delays, rerouting, or damages, and develop solutions to mitigate impact.
Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, rates, and industry regulations to provide clients with accurate and timely information.
Manage Finances: Handle accounts receivable and payable related to freight transactions, ensuring timely payments and resolving discrepancies.
Data Entry and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of shipments, carrier performance, and financial transactions.
Generate reports as required for management review.
Qualifications:
Experience: New to 3 years (OTR, Logistics, Freight Forwarding experience preferred)
Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration preferred
Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced TMS and MS Office
Must be available to work either 1st shift (Thu–Sun) or 2nd shift (Mon–Thu).
Thu–Sun 7:00–17:00 (10h shifts) or Mon–Thu 16:00–04:00/00:00 (8–12h shifts depending on day).
Network Optimization: Develop and manage high-density OTR lanes to balance headhaul and backhaul freight, minimizing empty miles and improving network efficiency.
Capacity Strategy: Build and maintain a core network of vetted, high-reliability carriers to support consistent service levels.
Carrier Sourcing: Identify and onboard strategic carrier partners for high-volume and core lanes.
Exception Management: Serve as the final escalation point for complex transit issues, including equipment breakdowns, weather-related disruptions, service failures, and freight claims.
Regulatory & Safety Compliance
Carrier Vetting: Ensure full compliance with FMCSA regulations and internal carrier qualification standards.
Fraud Prevention: Implement and oversee advanced identity verification (IDV) and fraud-prevention processes to mitigate risks related to double-brokering and cargo theft.
Qualifications:
5–10+ years of experience in logistics or transportation, including a minimum of 3 years in a management role within a non-asset OTR brokerage environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work weekends as required based on business needs and workload.
Professional working proficiency in both Korean and English.
