About the role
Join Gatik in Phoenix, AZ and help support the future of autonomous trucking. In this role, you will operate CDL or box trucks while working alongside advanced vehicle technology that powers Gatik’s middle-mile logistics network.
We’re looking for experienced, safety-focused drivers who are comfortable with new technology and excited to be part of the next generation of freight transportation.
What You’ll Do
- Operate 26–30 ft box trucks in manual mode while supervising onboard autonomous driving systems
- Work closely with engineering teams to test, evaluate, and refine our self-driving technology
- Use onboard screens, diagnostic tools, and software to monitor system performance
- Perform test runs, document unusual behavior, and provide clear, actionable feedback
- Stay highly alert and safety-focused, stepping in as needed while following DOT and company safety guidelines
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of professional truck‑driving experience, including 1 year operating 26–30 ft box trucks (Required)
- Valid CDL (Required)
- Clean MVR (Required)
- Comfortable with technology and ability to learn new applications
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Flexible availability (rotating or variable shifts)
- Excellent judgment under pressure
- Strong communication skills and the ability to write clear, simple reports

About the role
As an Autonomous Vehicle Operator, you will safely operate Gatik vehicles for on-time in-route customer deliveries. We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter to help us operate our box trucks running routes to transport dry and refrigerated cargo. You’ll be a valuable contributor by collecting necessary data for our engineering teams aimed at improving our groundbreaking automated driving technology while meeting customers’ product delivery needs.
This role is onsite in Phoenix or Peoria AZ
What you'll do
- Ensure safe, reliable operation of class 3-7 box truck delivery vehicles, in manual modes while keeping other drivers & operators, the public, and the vehicle safe
- Manually drive the vehicles on assigned, consistent routes to gather route data in support of moving toward future state autonomous operations
- Display customer service orientation and act as an ambassador for the company toward customers and the public
- Ensure vehicles arrive at pick-up and drop-off locations on time and the integrity of goods is retained on each journey
- Assist with safe, secure loading and unloading of customer goods using equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, dollies, lift gates, handbombing, etc.
- Update the dispatch team on shift and route status
- Ensure the operation and safety of trucks by daily routine checks (monitoring fluid levels, checking tire pressure, hose connections, etc.)
- Perform ad-hoc projects such as truck delivery to new locations, testing and/or installing new equipment, etc.
- Collaborate with teams to follow collection and drop-off procedures on each journey
- Learn and adhere to company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with safe operations standards
What we're looking for
- Possesses a valid CDL with 3+ years of driving experience (non-CDL candidates are also encouraged to apply).
- Maintains a clean driving record and successfully passes background and drug screenings.
- Comfortable operating box trucks (26–30 feet), with or without a refrigerated unit.

About the role
We’re looking for a highly organized, safety-focused Operations Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day performance of our Autonomous Vehicle Operators (AVOs) and local fleet of autonomous trucks (Class 3-7). In this role, you'll help ensure safe, efficient, and compliant vehicle operations on a complex route network. You’ll be responsible for managing drivers, supporting vehicle readiness, coordinating routes, and partnering with cross-functional teams across safety, compliance, maintenance, HR, and customer operations. This role reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with other regional supervisors/managers.

What you'll do
- Driver Hiring & Onboarding: Recruit, train, and onboard qualified drivers, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
- Driver Supervision: Conduct ride-alongs, performance evaluations, and coaching to promote safety and service excellence.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce FMCSA, DOT, and internal policies; maintain driver qualifications, training, and testing programs.
- Fleet Maintenance Coordination: Schedule maintenance and repairs, track logs and registrations, and help ensure vehicle readiness.
- Route scheduling: Plan daily routes, manage driver schedules, reduce overtime, and improve efficiency.
- Customer Support: Maintain strong relationships with customers, address service issues, and ensure delivery targets are met.
- Problem Solving: Address real-time logistical issues and provide hands-on support.
- Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs and operational data to identify areas for improvement.
What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in transportation or fleet operations with a focus on driver supervision.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Experience with route planning tools and fleet management systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Valid U.S. CDL license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable operating Class 3–6 vehicles and working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing daily fleet activity, ensuring safety and compliance, and delivering exceptional service to our customers. - Oversee fleet maintenance, inspections, ELD compliance, and asset tracking for a fleet of Class 3–7 autonomous and non-autonomous box trucks.
- Drive continuous improvement by evaluating performance, identifying inefficiencies, and refining SOPs and workflows.
- Manage customer relationships, resolve service issues, and support new contract activations and fleet deployments.
- Collaborate with HQ teams (HR, Legal, Finance, Engineering, Commercial) to align on strategy and execution.
- Define and track KPIs to measure service performance, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Support new market launches and expansion of fleet operations within the region.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in transportation or logistics, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, HOS, ELDs, and fleet compliance standards.
- Proven success managing transportation teams and scaling fleet operations.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments (logistics, transportation, or automotive preferred).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed to support regional operations.
