Your Responsibilities

As a Safety and Compliance Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring Fulfil automation equipment is designed to be safe and compliant to applicable US and international standards, ensure our equipment is deployed in a safe manner to that design, and help drive continued development of Fulfil safety culture. In this role you will work closely with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing and systems engineers and the deployment and operations teams. You will lead certification efforts with external agencies and serve as an internal and client-facing subject matter expert. In this role you will:

• Lead compliance effort to regulations, standards and guidelines established by ANSI, ISO, OSHA, NSF, UL and other applicable regulatory agencies, through the entire product life cycle
• Interface with NRTL / external agencies for certification, specifying and performing testing, defining which standards are appropriate, and clarifying and debating about intent of the standards
• Work with customers to validate Fulfil equipment meets their internal safety requirements and procedures
• Help develop functional safety architectures for new automation systems and design upgrades to existing systems
• Provide safety requirements across the company and mentor other engineers on best safety practices
• Review plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment to ensure they meet safety requirements and are designed for operator safety
• Perform, and assist others in performing, risk assessments on equipment and processes
• Identify and correct potential hazards by inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment
• Participate in safety system implementation at new sites and performance of on-site equipment safety testing and validation
• Work with operations to write safety manuals for Fulfil equipment that will be provided to customers

What We’re Looking For

• B.S in a hardware related engineering discipline, e.g. electrical, mechanical, industrial, process, manufacturing etc.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing systems for safety compliance
• Experience designing and testing functional safety systems to ISO 13849 and/or IEC 61508. 
• Experience developing and certifying capital equipment to UL, ANSI and/or ISO standards with external certification authorities
• Experience performing risk assessments for complex products
• Hands on aptitude – able to dive in and implement and troubleshoot safety systems
• Clear understanding of human-factors engineering—the consideration of information about human users in the design of machines, jobs, and work environments

• Safety Certifications in Functional and Machine Safety (CEFS, CMSE etc)
• Experience developing custom safety logic/components to ISO 13849 and/or IEC 61508

Your Responsibilities

As Engineering Program Manager, you will use your extensive leadership experience to lead and deliver our most complex multi-disciplinary automation programs from start to finish. You will work with mechanical, electrical and software discipline leaders to identify and manage critical cross-functional dependencies so that committed dates and performance are met.

In this role you will:

• Own on-time delivery of high-impact programs with committed functionality and performance targets
• Develop and maintain structured program plans (WBS, critical path, risk register) and implement efficient estimation frameworks
• Protect scope integrity while maintaining schedule commitments
• Serve as the principal program owner, orchestrating cross-disciplinary teams to successful delivery
• Ensure alignment on scope, requirements, and ownership
• Proactively identify risks and implement mitigations before schedule impact
• Build and communicate clear milestone plans; provide visibility when programs trend off course
• Establish measurable KPIs and reporting systems for estimation accuracy, scope integrity, delivery velocity, and execution quality

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Embedded, Systems, Software) or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years leading complex, cross-functional(hardware + software) technical programs (automation, capital equipment, construction, or systems integration preferred)
• Strong understanding of hardware development lifecycles (prototype, validation, production release)
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple parallel technical workstreams
• Comfortable driving alignment and holding stakeholders accountable across all levels of the organization
• Pragmatic user of project management tools, including Jira and Gantt-based scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, etc)

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior/Staff Mechanical Engineer, you will productize Fulfil’s proprietary technology while conceptualizing and developing new features and equipment to take it to the next level.. This role offers the opportunity to work closely on a complex multi-robot system with a cross-functional engineering team ranging from R&D Hardware Design, Systems, Process and Operations. You will have ownership of our automation equipment with a focus on upgrading the current design for robust performance, cost down, mass deployment and manufacturing, and certification while ensuring that design intentions are achieved and maintained through generational changes.

In this role you will:

• Develop and implement new equipment or functionality to improve the Fulfil technical ecosystem
• Own proprietary automation system design with a focus on functional and efficient deployment, large-scale manufacturing and lifetime productivity and reliability
• Identify and implement mechanical design improvements and product changes to solve issues. Verify your improvements effectiveness with a data driven approach
• Lead cost reduction and reliability improvement efforts for mature products
• Align work to the company business roadmap. Evaluate value of work by trading reliability, opex, capex, throughput, and opportunities to increase performance
• Lead 3D CAD and BOM generation, perform detailed design work on large complex systems
• Create detailed component and assembly drawings using GD&T
• Work with the Manufacturing teams to create processes, tests, and procedures to improve machine reliability and manufacturing and assembly efficiency.
• Work with NPI and Operations teams to drive hardware deployment in new facilities

What We’re Looking For

• 4-8 years of experience designing and building complex mechanical systems
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Experience with DFM, DFMEA, 8D, six sigma, relevant engineering tools
• Experience with CAD, ideally Solidworks
• Ability to travel when we deploy new sites - could be up to 30% of the time for a few months of the year
• Hands on aptitude – able to dive in and troubleshoot issues
• Ability to generate ideas in response to complex issues and execute on solutions

Your Responsibilities

The Senior Mechanical Reliability Engineer will be responsible for developing and performing test methodologies to determine the robustness and long term reliability (LTR) of Fulfil’s robotic systems. As a core part of the R&D team, you will assume a great deal of responsibility ensuring tests are well designed and well executed in order to uncover potential end of life (EOL) issues. You will need to design test fixturing and build test fixtures. This role will require you perform root cause and failure analysis on issues discovered during testing. The ideal candidate must have a keen understanding of fatigue and wear related failure modes but also be knowledgeable in multiple fields including robotics, hardware, electronics and automation in order to handle multiple failure modes that could arise during testing. Communicating clearly with other teams is key to this role to ensure effective solutions are implemented, whether they be design, maintenance or process based. In this role you will:

• Engineer the transition of Fulfil’s system from prototype to production machines by improving their LTR and Robustness over entire expected life time
• Design test fixtures based on current and future Fulfil designs using SolidWorks
• Own creation of test plans for inducing EOL failure on various robotic assemblies and components
• Build models to determine how many units need to be tested and for how long to support specific reliability objectives
• Carry out testing for LTR, ensuring proper execution of methodology including HALT testing
•  
• Perform root cause and failure analysis during the testing cycles 
• Analyze and interpret data from LTR test, presents this data and conclusion to various stakeholders to determine best path forward
• Leverage wide breadth of engineering knowledge to generate proper solutions to an equally diverse set of problems
• Lead projects requiring cross-team coordination, project management, resource management, decision making, and effective communication on tight timelines in order to run effective tests
• Develop and implement new equipment or functionality to improve the Fulfil technical ecosystem
• Identify and implement mechanical design improvements and product changes to solve issues. Verify fix effectiveness with a data driven approach
• Lead 3D CAD and BOM generation, perform detailed design work on large complex systems
• Create detailed component and assembly drawings using GD&T
• Work with NPI and Operations teams to drive hardware deployment in new facilities
• Maintain a functional reliability lab, ensuring tests are running and tools and equipment are organized

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar
• ASQ CRE certification
• 5+ Years Experience with running LTR or EOL testing on mechatronic systems
• Experience with creating and building test fixtures in 3D CAD
• Experience creating and executing on test plans or research studies
• Experience working with mechatronics hardware – motors & drives, sensors, actuators, etc.
• Experience with life data analysis, including zero-failure and k-failure test plans, censored data, confidence bounds (e.g., chi-square methods), and MTBF or B-life estimation.
• Familiarity with Weibull++, ReliaSoft, JMP, or equivalent tools
• Hands on aptitude – able to dive in and troubleshoot a variety of system issues across multiple engineering disciplines, but with a focus on those related to wear and degradation of components
• Experience designing mechanical components
