Job Description:

The Customer Success Manager acts as the primary technical advisor and strategic partner to our publishers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the advertising technology and programmatic landscape and a passion for solving complex challenges. You will focus on the long-term technical health and optimization of our clients' accounts, ensuring their ad stack is optimized for maximum yield and that all technical hurdles are swiftly identified and resolved by the appropriate internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Own your publisher relationships end-to-end, beginning at onboarding through long-term growth and retention, acting as the single accountable lead for the account’s success.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact and strategic advisor for a portfolio of premium and enterprise-level publisher accounts.
• Proactively monitor and analyze publisher ad performance, identifying and implementing technical optimizations to drive revenue growth.
• Independently perform high-level analysis to determine the root cause of technical issues affecting ad delivery and performance.
• Partner with the Support and Yield teams as necessary for escalations.
• Liaise daily with internal teams, including Support, Yield, Audience Strategy, Business Development, and Product, to escalate complex issues and advocate for publishers’ needs.
• Act as an expert on Freestar’s product suite and the broader programmatic ecosystem, providing technical guidance and best practices to clients.
• Educate publishers on new technologies and product features, and assist in upselling technical solutions that align with their business goals.
• Maintain a deep understanding of each publisher's technical nuances, business KPIs, and long-term goals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with our publishers’ technical teams, building trust through expert consultation and rapid issue resolution.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of success in a Technical Account Management, Customer Success, or Ad Ops role within the Ad Tech ecosystem.
• Advanced, hands-on knowledge of Google Ad Manager and Google Analytics.
• Deep understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, including header bidding (Prebid.js), wrapper solutions, and ad serving principles.
• Familiarity with web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and experience using browser developer tools for high-level debugging and issue identification.
• Experience with CRM, project management, and support tools (e.g., HubSpot, Jira, Zendesk, Trello).
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) and experience interpreting complex performance dashboards.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and data-driven individual to optimize and maximize monetization across our publisher partners. As a key member of our Yield team, you will monitor, analyze, and enhance yield performance using complex data sets, producing actionable insights and strategies. We are looking for a curious and proactive Senior Yield Data Analyst who enjoys deep-diving into analysis and technical investigations, and producing creative ideas in a dynamic fast-paced environment.  

Responsibilities:

• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends in complex data sets to maximize publisher yield.
• Extract and analyze bidstream and auction data to surface trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities. Provide recommended changes to enhance bidding dynamics and yield outcomes.
• Develop and maintain analytic monitoring and alerting systems for yield management, ensuring rapid identification and diagnosis of revenue-affecting issues and performance drops.
• Produce data-driven summaries and actionable insights for internal teams and executives, ensuring technical accuracy and clear communication for a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support Yield Managers and Publishers in implementing data-driven best practices and monetization strategies.

• Build and maintain AB testing frameworks, reporting, and result interpretation.

• Act as a subject matter expert for Freestar data capabilities. Support data integrity projects.
• Project manage yield and data initiatives from planning through successful implementation, ensuring clarity, accountability, and effective communication. Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Intelligence, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Business Development, and Demand.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging yield opportunities; recommend and pilot innovative monetization solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 3-5 years of experience in ad tech; preferably at a digital publisher or ad management company. Minimum 2 years of experience in an analytical role.
• Deep familiarity with header bidding, Prebid, SSPs, DSPs, ad serving, Google Ad Manager, and major ad tech platforms.
• Advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets. Familiarity with working with large complex data sets.
• Experience in SQL and willingness to adopt new data tools as needed.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization and presentation tools to tell compelling stories with data.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a data-savvy detail-oriented Yield Manager who thrives on solving complex problems and making sense of data. Required Skills & Experience

• 1+ years in ad tech, yield optimization, programmatic operations, or data analytics; preferably at a digital publisher or ad management company.
• Experience working with Looker or other BI visual reporting tools.
• Strong command of Google Ad Manager (GAM), Google Analytics, Prebid, and header bidding environments.
• Prior experience in publisher monetization, yield management, or revenue optimization.
• Ability to analyze auction metrics (eCPM, RPM, RPS, fill rate, latency) and turn insights into measurable actions.
• Working knowledge of site performance tools (e.g., Chrome Console, Professor Prebid, Google Lighthouse, WebPageTest) and understanding of user experience tradeoffs in monetization.
