As Head of Commercial for the Austin metro, you’ll be accountable for scaling a healthy, high intent marketplace and the metro & site-level business that supports it. You’ll own metro and site level P&Ls and customer metrics (GMV, fleet utilization, take rate, customer growth, retention and frequency), build locally relevant partnerships and go-to-market plays, and run the day-to-day commercial engine that makes Zipline the obvious choice across retail, food, healthcare and industrial use cases. This role is about execution, accountability, and results — you’ll lead a small, high-output team and be Zipline’s external face in the region.

We are looking for a highly motivated operator to build the sales infrastructure and enablement foundation for Zipline’s SMB restaurant partnerships.
This role will work closely with sales leadership and field sellers to design the processes, tools, and playbooks that enable Zipline to consistently sign, launch, and support local restaurant partners across multiple markets.
This is a hands-on, builder role: you will help define how our SMB motion works today while laying the foundation to scale it nationally.

Build the SMB sales playbook
Define and document the outreach motion, messaging, and sales process for signing local restaurant partners so successful approaches can be replicated across new markets.
Stand up the core sales infrastructure
Design CRM workflows, pipeline stages, dashboards, and reporting that give leadership clear visibility into sales activity, conversion, and market performance.
Enable sellers to close partnerships effectively
Develop scripts, FAQs, pricing guidance, and training that help sellers clearly communicate the Zipline partnership to restaurant owners.
Build the restaurant prospecting engine
Identify lead data sources, prospecting tools, and territory design that help sellers consistently find and prioritize the right restaurants.
Design the merchant onboarding experience
Create the workflows, documentation, and tools that move restaurants from signed partnership to successful launch quickly and smoothly.
Support partner success and retention
Define merchant health metrics and feedback loops that ensure restaurants have a strong experience and help Zipline continuously improve the partnership model.
Scale the SMB sales engine across markets
Standardize tools, playbooks, and processes so Zipline can efficiently grow local restaurant partnerships across multiple metros.
Zipline is entering a phase of growth where we are expanding from a single market into multiple metros. Building a repeatable SMB partnership engine is critical to that expansion.
This role will help turn early wins with restaurant partners into a scalable national growth model, ensuring sellers have the tools they need to succeed and partners have a great experience from first conversation through launch.

You will directly own specific sales regions within the coverage area of our drone delivery network. You will be responsible for identifying attractive restaurant and retail prospects, and then reaching out to these prospects to explain our service and sign partnership agreements. You are our important ‘eyes and ears’ on the ground - learning what are the most popular restaurants and retailers in each community and actively engaging with these merchants to join our delivery platform.
To do this role well you will need to be curious, driven and a passionate communicator. You should have good sales skills and instincts, and an ability to explain new ideas and concepts in a simple and compelling way. Finally you should be a tenacious self starter who is comfortable bringing prospects along a journey.

We’re looking for a Senior Analyst to help decide where Zipline builds next. Over the next two years, we will deploy hundreds of charging and delivery sites across the U.S., and this role will play a central part in determining which metros we enter, where within those metros we build, and how much infrastructure we deploy.
This is not a traditional analytics role. You won’t be handed clean datasets and narrowly defined questions. Instead, you’ll work in a highly ambiguous, novel problem space — finding, creating, and integrating data where it doesn’t yet exist. You’ll partner closely with go-to-market, real estate, engineering, and operations teams to translate spatial, commercial, and operational complexity into clear recommendations for leadership.
To succeed, you must be comfortable owning open-ended problems, working deeply with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and building scalable analyses, tools, and automations that enable Zipline to grow faster and smarter.
Network & Site Strategy:
Evaluate potential metros and charging locations using GIS, mapping tools, and diverse datasets. You’ll help define where Zipline should expand, how infrastructure should be distributed, and what constraints matter most.
Real Estate Decision Support:
Provide clear, data-backed guidance to real estate teams on where to search, how much to build, and how to evaluate tradeoffs in lease terms, site characteristics, and long-term flexibility.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with sales, customer success, real estate, engineering, and operations to align spatial planning decisions with commercial demand, operational feasibility, and customer needs.
Visualization & Communication:
Create clear, compelling GIS visualizations and analytical outputs that distill complex spatial and operational dynamics into simple, executive-ready conclusions.
Scaling Through Automation & AI:
Build repeatable tools, workflows, and automations — leveraging AI where appropriate — so that site evaluation and metro planning can scale beyond you and be used broadly across Zipline.
Problem Framing in Ambiguity:
Develop reasonable assumptions and proxy metrics when perfect data doesn’t exist. You’ll identify creative ways to answer critical questions despite incomplete or noisy information.
High Ownership & Initiative:
You are a self-starter who thrives in unstructured environments. When you don’t have the exact data you need, you find a way forward — whether through proxies, external datasets, or novel approaches.
GIS & Spatial Analysis Experience:
At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience with geospatial data wrangling, querying, analysis, visualization, and validation.
Business Judgment:
Strong intuition for how analytical insights translate into business impact. You can evaluate tradeoffs in cost, risk, and scalability — including the implications of lease terms and infrastructure investments.
Analytical & Technical Fluency:
Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets. Comfort using AI tools for analysis, light programming, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with SQL and Python is expected. Zipline primarily uses open source GIS tools, such as QGIS.
Executive Communication:
Ability to present conclusions with clarity and poise. You can simplify complex analyses, clearly state assumptions, build executive standard presentations, and guide leadership toward confident decisions.
Comfort with Ambiguity:
You are energized by novel problems and uncertain inputs. You make thoughtful assumptions, test them, and iterate quickly in pursuit of better answers.
Direct Ownership of Expansion:

Zipline is building the future of instant delivery. As a Field Sales Representative, you will work with our commercial leadership to sign up local restaurant and retail partners in Austin.
You will directly own specific sales regions within the coverage area of our drone delivery network. You will be responsible for identifying attractive restaurant and retail prospects, and then reaching out to these prospects to explain our service and sign partnership agreements. You are our important ‘eyes and ears’ on the ground - learning what are the most popular restaurants and retailers in each community and actively engaging with these merchants to join our delivery platform.
To do this role well you will need to be curious, driven and a passionate communicator. You should have good sales skills and instincts, and an ability to explain new ideas and concepts in a simple and compelling way. Finally you should be a tenacious self starter who is comfortable bringing prospects along a journey.
This role will be based locally in Austin, Texas and will involve a mix of telephone, email and face-to-face in market sales.

This role has an on-target earnings (OTE) of approximately $150,000 - $160,000 with a 50/50 split between base and variable. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, working location, and projected impact. The total compensation package for this role may also include: equity compensation; overtime pay; discretionary annual or performance bonuses; sales incentives; benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance; paid time off; and more.

As Head of Commercial for the LA metro, you’ll be accountable for scaling a healthy, high intent marketplace and the metro & site-level business that supports it. You’ll own metro and site level P&Ls and customer metrics (GMV, fleet utilization, take rate, customer growth, retention and frequency), build locally relevant partnerships and go-to-market plays, and run the day-to-day commercial engine that makes Zipline the obvious choice across retail, food, healthcare and industrial use cases. This role is about execution, accountability, and results — you’ll lead a small, high-output team and be Zipline’s external face in the region.
