About the Role
Fivetran is the backbone of the modern data stack, powering Open Data Infrastructure for thousands of global enterprises. As a Senior Sales Engineer specializing in Customer Expansion for ASEAN, you will be at the forefront of a booming market, driving digital transformation for our most strategic existing customers.
In this role, you aren't just maintaining accounts—you are an architect of growth. Leveraging your expertise in Data Replication (CDC), ELT/ETL, Cloud Data Warehousing, and Data Lakehouses, you will identify high-impact expansion opportunities. You will partner with Account Managers to build faster, more secure data foundations that enable our customers to win in the era of AI. Supported by a world-class global SE team and an agile APAC sales organization, you will be the technical pivot point for Fivetran’s continued dominance in Southeast Asia.
This is a full-time, remote position based in Singapore.
Your focus will be on maximizing customer lifetime value (CLV) by:
- Strategic Land & Expand: Penetrating new business units and subsidiaries within global conglomerates.
- Use Case Innovation: Identifying whitespace for new data pipelines, from real-time analytics to GenAI readiness.
- Product Evangelism: Introducing advanced connectors (SAP, Oracle, HVR) and new platform capabilities.
- Architecture Evolution: Ensuring Fivetran remains the core standard as customers scale their data volume and complexity.
What You’ll Do
- Drive Technical Win for Expansion: Lead technical discovery and solution design for upsell and cross-sell motions across a high-value Commercial/Enterprise account base.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Account Managers (AMs) and Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to interpret usage signals and identify "trigger events" for expansion.
- Architect for Scale: Help customers evolve their legacy architectures to support modern cloud-scale volumes and hybrid-cloud environments.
- Champion the Platform: Position the value of Fivetran’s high-volume agents and enterprise-grade security to technical stakeholders and C-suite executives.
- Community & Enablement: Act as a thought leader in the ASEAN data community. You will produce technical content, lead bespoke training, and mentor partner teams on Fivetran’s competitive edge.
- Regional Expertise: Leverage your deep understanding of the ASEAN business landscape to navigate complex, multi-faceted decision-making groups.
Skills We're Looking For
- Enterprise Experience: 5+ years of operational experience with Tier-1 databases (SAP, Oracle, SQL Server) or supporting large-scale database operations as a Systems Integrator.
- Expansion Mindset: A proven ability to identify growth signals and translate technical needs into a compelling business case for expansion.
- The Technical Stack:
- Deep CDC Knowledge: Expert-level understanding of Data Replication/Integration and Change Data Capture.
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on proficiency with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- The Data Destination: Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift, including Lakehouse architectures (Iceberg, Delta Lake).
- Languages: Proficiency in SQL is mandatory; experience with Python/JavaScript and REST APIs is highly preferred.
- Hybrid Savvy: Knowledge of both on-premise (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and cloud-native deployments.
- Strategic Communicator: Ability to "code-switch"—influencing data engineers with technical depth and business leaders with ROI-driven narratives.
- Curiosity & Influence: A passion for solving business problems through data and a relentless drive to learn and share new technologies.

About the Role
As a Fivetran Sales Engineer in ASEAN, you will drive massive transformation and efficiency for enterprise customers in a booming market. Using your experience with Data Replication/Integration, ETL/ELT, cloud data warehousing, data lake houses, and analytics, you will skillfully guide prospects and partners to build faster, more reliable, and secure data foundations for the AI world. You will be directly and enthusiastically supported by a world-class Sales Engineering team, an agile and hungry APAC Sales team, and a suite of products that enable companies to leverage AI workloads with successful data foundations.
This is a full-time, remote position based in Singapore.
What You'll Do
- Drive pre-sales technical discovery and solutioning discussions with data architects, data engineers, database administrators, systems architects, and other technical professionals at all levels of customer organizations interested in getting more value out from their data
- Plan, manage, and effectively close out technical demonstrations and proof of concept (POC) projects, often serving as both the subject matter expert and project manager
- Respond to technical enquiries including Requests for Informations (RFIs), Proposals (RFPs) and similar formal documents
- Enable Fivetran staff, partner teams, and the data engineering community at large on data concepts, product features, competitive positioning, and best practices; this may take a variety of forms including but not limited to written articles, group presentations, bespoke training sessions, recorded videos, one-to-one coaching, etc.
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to new customers to ensure successful adoption and scale
- Be intimately familiar with and have a positive reputation within the ASEAN region.
Skills We're Looking For
- At least 6-8 years working/operational experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, SAP or similar within an enterprise or providing and supporting end-user database operations as a systems integrator
- Experienced in Data Replication/Integration (CDC) tools
- Solid knowledge of data lakes, lake houses and scalable data foundations for AI use cases
- Proficiency in SQL scripting
- Knowledge in Python/JavaScript and Rest API interaction
- Hands-on experience with modern databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB/MySQL, MongoDB) in on-premise and cloud deployments.
- Working knowledge with one or more major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Knowledge with modern cloud data warehousing providers ( Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery or Databricks) and data lake architectures (Kafka, HDFS, S3, ADLS, GCS, Iceberg, Delta etc)
- Experience successfully demonstrating and articulating the value of Business Intelligence and Analytics tools
- Ability to influence technical audiences in their language, and influence business audiences by translating complex technology concepts
- Passion for data and analytics, a philosophy of using technology to help solve business problems
- Keen analytical and problem-solving skills
- Curiosity to learn and assimilate technical information quickly, enthusiasm to share and teach others
- Experience selling into and influencing multi-faceted decision-groups within large and complex organisations

About the Role
We’re looking for a Technology Partner Sales Manager (PSM) to join our Global Alliances team. In this role, you will be a key driver of revenue execution, specifically focused on scaling our co-selling ecosystem with major technology partners like Snowflake, Databricks, and hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, and Azure). You will act as the bridge between Fivetran’s internal sales teams and our partners' field organizations, ensuring we source, co-sell, and win high-impact deals together.
This is a full-time position based remotely in Singapore .
Technologies You’ll Use
- Salesforce (SFDC): For opportunity tracking, pipeline management, and partner activity tagging.
- Crossbeam: For account mapping, list enrichment, and identifying joint targets with partners.
- Gong & Looker: For identifying co-sell opportunities and analyzing pipeline health.
- Suger: To scale day-to-day co-selling processes and system improvements.
- Slack: For real-time co-sell alignment and communication with partner AE teams.
What You’ll Do
- Execute joint sales motions with technology partners to drive revenue and meet influenced incremental booking quotas.
- Drive pipeline creation by identifying co-sell opportunities within the Fivetran open pipeline and submitting them for partner alignment.
- Lead co-sell calls and account workshops, owning the agenda, introductions, and "better together" value proposition messaging.
- Enable internal Fivetran AEs on partner solutions, use cases, and joint GTM strategies to increase partner-influenced deals.
- Source and execute partner enablements, including QBRs, hands-on labs (HOLs), and sales training for partner AEs.
- Own account mapping efforts using Crossbeam to identify overlapping targets and provide recommendations to Fivetran and partner reps.
- Establish sales leadership alignment by facilitating recurring cadences between Fivetran and partner sales managers.
- Communicate field feedback to Partner Development Managers (PDMs) to continuously improve partner offerings and messaging.
- Manage regional partner events, such as happy hours and conferences, to build Fivetran brand awareness and relationship depth.
- Track and report on sales KPIs, ensuring all partner-influenced activity is accurately tagged and reflected in global dashboards.
Skills We’re Looking For
- Co-Selling Excellence: Proven ability to navigate complex co-sell cycles with hyperscalers and data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.).
- Strategic Relationship Management: Experience building and maintaining high-trust relationships with external partner AEs and sales leadership.
- Sales Enablement: Skill in distilling complex technical integrations into compelling "why Fivetran" value propositions for partner sellers.
- Data-Driven Pipeline Management: Proficiency in using CRM and account mapping tools to identify and prioritize high-value opportunities.
- Collaboration & Orchestration: Ability to coordinate cross-functional efforts between Sales, Marketing, and Partner Development teams.
- Event Execution: Experience sourcing and managing logistics for regional sales events, lunch and learns, or QBRs.
- Clear Communication: Strong ability to deliver joint win stories ("Win Wires") and updates that keep Fivetran top-of-mind for partners.
Bonus Skills
- Experience working directly within the Snowflake or Databricks ecosystem.
- Familiarity with Cloud Marketplaces and the technical nuances of cloud-specific co-selling motions.
- Background in Technical Sales or a deep understanding of the modern data stack (ETL/ELT).
