Five9 is seeking a Principal Solutions Consultant to serve as the dedicated technical partner SC for our strategic partnership with Google. This role is critical to the success of the Google Five9 partnership and will function as the technical authority for the Five9–Google joint solution.

This individual will operate at the intersection of AI, cloud infrastructure, integrations, and enterprise contact center architecture, supporting Google sellers, Google-authorized partners, and Five9 Sales and Product teams. The ideal candidate brings technical leadership and hands-on expertise, and can translate technology into value for partners and customers.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Ownership of the Five9–Google Joint Solution

• Serve as the technical subject-matter expert for product integrations and architectural touchpoints between Five9 and Google GECX.
• Own a deep understanding of how Five9 integrates with Google’s GECX AI and contact center portfolio, with particular emphasis on:
• Google Customer Engagement Suite (CES) / Google Enterprise for Customer Experience (GECX)
• Google Contact Center AI (CCAI)
• Maintain hands-on knowledge of joint capabilities, constraints, roadmap dependencies, and integration patterns across both platforms.

Google AI, Contact Center & Platform Expertise

• Act as the technical authority on how Google GECX AI services enhance the Five9 platform, including conversational AI, agent assist, analytics, transcription, automation, and routing intelligence.
• Stay current on Google’s AI and platform roadmap, proactively identifying:
• New integration opportunities
• Competitive differentiation
• Technical risks or gaps impacting GTM execution
• Help shape Five9’s point of view on Google AI adoption within enterprise contact centers.

Infrastructure, Architecture & Integrations

• Own the end-to-end technical architecture of the Five9–Google joint solution, including:
• Cloud infrastructure considerations
• Data flows and APIs
• Identity and access management
• Security, compliance, and scalability
• Provide expert guidance on integration design, deployment models, and enterprise-grade architecture for partners and customers.
• Act as a trusted advisor during solution validation, proof-of-concepts, and technical design reviews.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Responsible for understanding and being able to present on all aspects of product integrations between Five9 & Google GECX.
• Responsible for technical partner enablement for core set of Google authorized resellers that are creating GTM plans with Five9 + Google.
• Must be able to articulate technical value proposition at the “C” staff level showing business outcomes associated with technology deployments.
• Must be able to demo the integrated Joint Solution between Five9 & Google GECX.
• Must be able to work closely with Sales and Sales SC teams on key pursuits and participate in end customer meetings to help validate & move the technical components of the sale forward.
• Will be responsible for working closely with both product teams to hit targeted timelines for product integrations and full stack demo capabilities for partners and customers pursuits.
• Specific Google Cloud Certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architector Professional Machine Learning Engineer).
• Years of experience in CCaaS, AI/ML, or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with API integrations, conversational AI design, or cloud networking.

A Solution Consultant must be able to build credibility and communicate clearly and concisely. Solutions Consultants perform a wide range of duties; from assisting with RFP responses, conducting detailed requirements analyses, delivering technical presentations and demonstrations to understanding the competitive marketplace. Other responsibilities include working with cross-functional internal organizations to provide relevant customer feedback as input to the product development process. Recommend changes, additions or corrections to product manuals, specification sheets, features, processes, and internal technical procedures when appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and enable Five9 technology and reseller partners with presales guidance, training, and ongoing technical coaching
• Effectively communicate plans, progress, and status to both internal and customer organizations
• Partner with Account Executives to sell the Five9 solution into larger and more demanding Enterprise and Strategic companies.
• Articulate the value of Five9’ through presentations, demonstrations, and open discussion with customers.
• Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships by interacting effectively at all levels of the client organization.
• Develop materials in-line with specific sales and/or services opportunity requirements.
• Responsible for transitioning the customer to the services team for implementation.
• Design end-to-end cloud contact centre solutions that integrate omnichannel routing, AI engines, CRM, workforce optimisation, analytics, and enterprise applications.
• Guide customers in responsible AI deployment, including governance, guardrails, and operational oversight using Five9’s AI Trust & Governance framework.
• Support proof-of-concept (POC) and pilot implementations, ensuring measurable customer outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

• Demonstrated capability working with AI or conversational AI platforms (LLMs, NLP, generative AI, RAG, or virtual agents).
• Ability to think and adapt to a rapidly changing environment and demands.
• Responsible for staying abreast of current technologies and industry trends.
• Ability to deliver demos and presentations that close deals.
• Years of experience 8+ Years Preferred.
• Ability to Travel (40-60%).
• Fluency in English and German; additional European languages beneficial.

Preferred Experience:

• Contact/Call Center Software.
• CRM integration knowledge.
• Integration frameworks.
• Experience with prompt engineering, AI workflow configuration, or low-code integration frameworks.
• IP Telephony (basic networking knowledge assumed).
• PBX, ACD, IVR, Unified Messaging products.
• Workforce engagement, Data Analytics.
• Interaction Analytics, Quality Management, and Interaction recording.

• Partner with Mid-Market Sales to uncover customer goals and build tailored Five9 solutions.
• Lead discovery sessions and translate business needs into scalable architectures.
• Deliver persuasive demos and executive-level presentations.
• Shape RFP/RFI responses with clear technical scope and integration plans.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Professional Services for smooth hand-offs and aligned messaging.
• Stay current on AI, automation, and contact center trends to guide customer innovation.

• 3+ years in pre-sales or solution consulting for SaaS, CCaaS, or enterprise software.
• Strong presentation and communication skills with C-suite presence.
• Hands-on knowledge of CRM integration, IVR, APIs, and AI tools (AI agents, chatbots, IVA, generative AI).
• Technical fluency in telco/SIP and enterprise architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

• Experience with LLMs, NLU, workflow automation, or CX analytics.
• Knowledge of contact center operations and compliance (HIPAA, PCI).
• Familiarity with UCaaS, Knowledge Management, and Conversation Design.
