Job Purpose
An opportunity to join a rapidly growing business in an exciting industry. The role will be responsible for driving engagement of FT digital group subscriptions amongst customers and prospects. You will help customers maximise the value of their FT.com investment and deliver against their business outcomes. This is a senior role within the team responsible for handling high value accounts, mentoring other Customer Success managers and working with the management team to inform the wider global customer success strategy.
India is an emerging market well connected to global finance and trade and has established itself as a major presence in the digital economy. This presents a good opportunity to expand our footprint in India and introduce our digital subscription model to the corporate sector.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
In addition to the Customer Success Manager role a Senior CSM will be expected to:
Handle a number of strategic accounts with high value and/or high growth potential, and likely to require co-ordinating activity across multiple countries and collaborators
Create and implement engagement plans for these strategic accounts, liaising with the global customer success team to drive wider engagement and adoption
Develop an in-depth understanding of how the FT is used to achieve business outcomes, backed by a comprehensive knowledge of the FT and its services
Communicate how customer success can advise clients effective and establish your credibility as a business partner to senior team members in client organisations
Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) within your accounts and make proactive recommendations on best practice and ways to optimise how we work
Act as role model for customer success across the business, providing regular updates and insights to managers, and coaching support to other CSMs
Support future product/service development by identifying and collating customer requirements, then communicating these to relevant product teams
Drive and lead customer success participation in bringing new products to market, implementing cross-business initiatives and collaborating with other FT teams
Support the regional managers with feedback and recommendations to guide the planning, account allocation and business processes for the region
Some international travel will be required to support clients/colleagues in other markets

It is a shared resource for key decision-makers reading FT Specialist US's two largest titles: FundFire and Ignites.
We seek a researcher adept at tracking key regulatory disclosures, spotting relevant news stories and hunting for information about the people and platforms that influence what broker-dealers and other platforms offer to financial advisors. You will work from our Manila office.
You will be responsible for keeping profiles of some of the most influential distribution platforms in the industry up-to-date, and for weaving together a comprehensive narrative of what these broker-dealers look for, how they are structured and why.
The successful candidate must be organized and able to prioritize multiple workflows at once. You must adhere to a schedule to ensure you are on top of the companies you cover, including company earnings calls, public presentations and regular regulatory filings. Acting as a critical bridge between marketing and sales, you will help uncover, nurture and progress opportunities that may otherwise be missed, ensuring our sales teams can focus on high-value engagement.
You will support subscription products including The Banker, MandateWire and Sustainable Views, contributing to both new business generation and client retention through effective sales support and operational excellence.
Maximise conversion of marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) into sales-qualified leads (SQLs)
Analyse and utilise marketing and sales data to improve pipeline efficiency and conversion rates
Proactively nurture early-stage opportunities and surface new revenue potential
Support the renewal process for existing clients where required
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in Salesforce, ensuring adherence to best practices
Partner closely with the Global Head of Sales and sales representatives to align on priorities and activity
Collaborate with Legal, Tax, Operations and Finance teams to support deal progression
Capture and share client and market feedback to inform product development and improvements
Contribute to reporting, data analysis and ad hoc commercial projects
Ensure all sales support activities are delivered accurately and within deadlines
Clearly communicate subscription terms and conditions to clients when required
Previous experience in sales, sales operations or a sales support role
Strong ability to prioritise activities that drive commercial impact

The role
Client Relationship Executive/Manager (CRE/M) is a region focussed key account specialist responsible for retaining and growing the bank of business in which they are allocated. They have the responsibility for the retention and upselling of existing business, requiring negotiation skills and excellent relationship management and account management. They focus on the development of an annual sales plan for their bank of business which identifies how the overall target will be achieved. Regular contact and building relationships with clients in partnership with Marketing and the Customer Success team is required to develop engagement activities throughout the year to support retention and upsell as well as cross-selling products. The role entails strong organisation skills and the ability to manage a large number of accounts with a strategic mindset in order to build relationships with key stakeholders. The candidate will also be working closely with our parent company to collaborate on projects or duties as assigned from time to time.
Key responsibilities
To personally be responsible for the achievement of the retention and upsell business target set at the start of each new year.
To work with the appropriate support departments to ensure that customer issues are handled consistently and effectively in a timely and efficient manner.
To work closely with the Customer Success team to plan and prioritise activities to support the goal of retention and upsell.
To prioritise face to face and virtual meetings with clients, gain knowledge of the business operations and information needs of the client and actively network to build strong relationships at a senior level and with stakeholders in other departments within the company. This will lead to a better understanding of requirements and establish new opportunities to support retention, upsell and cross selling
Maintaining awareness of an opportunity/accounts overall health and taking the appropriate action to mitigate the risk of downsell and/or cancellation.
Document all sales activity in salesforce, and keep opportunities updated with regards to likely close dates in a timely and efficient manner.
To keep up to date with market & competitor developments in the relevant sector and have the ability to speak with confidence on the FTs value proposition.
To keep up to date with developments and news relating to the individual accounts you are responsible for ensuring a tailored and strategic approach.
Feedback customer insight to assist with product development and cross selling new products.
Ensure dates of all renewals are well planned and work commences at least three months in advance.
Required skills and experience
Takes a consultative sales approach to achieve business development in order to expand accounts.
Strong approach to cross-selling into new products using strategic value positioning.
Proven account management experience and of meeting or exceeding retention and upsell revenue targets with a strategic mindset.
Experience carrying out face to face and virtual client meetings often negotiating with senior management within the company.
Well developed influencing skills to gain commitment from clients and colleagues.
Eager to develop a thorough understanding of the value of the FT from existing clients in the relevant sector/region and utilise this information to grow, expand and upsell accounts.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to succeed.
High level of initiative, motivation, and ability to network both internally and externally to identify opportunities and maintain/build relationships.
Excellent organisation skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Fluency in English, both oral and written
Fluency in business level Japanese
