As Marketing Manager, Events, you will play a central role in driving the growth and success of FT Live’s high-profile events portfolio. You will be responsible for developing and driving strategic marketing plans, identifying and engaging target audiences, and delivering compelling campaigns that maximise attendance, delegate revenue and sponsorship opportunities.
From flagship experiences including the award-winning Global Boardroom, Business of Entertainment and Women at the Top, FT Live is one of the Financial Times Group’s fastest-growing and most successful divisions. It sits at the forefront of the FT’s evolution as a dynamic, interactive information source across multiple platforms.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing Operations & Planning, this 12-month parental cover role will support the B2C Senior Marketing Lead and work at the heart of FT Live’s relationship with delegates. You will collaborate closely with teams across the Financial Times to deliver integrated marketing campaigns, attract high-quality audiences to flagship virtual and hybrid events, and contribute to delegate revenue targets and wider business objectives.

The Role
FT Live is seeking a dynamic, experienced content manager to coordinate programmes across a portfolio of highly bespoke B2B events designed for specific commercial partners.
As a key member of both the content team and the Partner Events division of FT Live, the ideal candidate will combine deep understanding of market trends with a commercially minded, adaptable and hands-on approach to shaping the success of each event.
This role requires strong project management and client management skills as well as a proactive and innovative approach to event content design that optimises commercial success while assuring editorial integrity.
This is a 12-month maternity cover role and is likely to start in June 2026.

FT Live is seeking a commercially driven Commercial Manager to join its high-performing team. FT Live delivers a global portfolio of premium events, from flagship conferences and awards to bespoke experiences, bringing together influential leaders across industries.
In this role, you will drive sponsorship revenue by building meaningful relationships with senior decision-makers across global organisations. Working closely with content, marketing and operations teams, you will create integrated commercial solutions that align with client objectives and the FT’s editorial excellence.
Secure high-value sponsorship deals across FT Live’s portfolio of physical and digital events
Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, client consultation, proposal development, negotiation and revenue delivery
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts while identifying opportunities for growth
Proactively generate new business and exceed individual revenue targets
Analyse assigned sectors and territories to prioritise high-potential opportunities
Collaborate with FT advertising, research and content teams to deliver integrated client solutions
Represent FT Live at industry events, building networks both in the UK and internationally
Consistently meet and exceed activity metrics and performance targets
Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
Proven experience working in a target-driven sales or business development environment
Demonstrated ability to generate new revenue streams and grow existing accounts
Highly organised, self-motivated and proactive approach to work
Commercial awareness with the ability to adapt sales strategies to client needs
Minimum of 12 months’ experience in sales, business development or account management
Experience selling sponsorships, events or media solutions
Ability to confidently discuss global business topics with senior clients
Strong proposal writing, negotiation and client management skills
Experience developing high-value accounts and delivering against ambitious targets
Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce
Experience working within a large, fast-paced international organisation
