Key Responsibilities:

Sales Support:

• Maintain and update CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Odoo) with accurate sales data
• Prepare and process sales quotes, invoices, purchase orders, and contracts

• Accurate & Timely Quoting

  • Provide cost estimates for CNC machining and other manufacturing processes with high precision.

  • Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturability) analysis to highlight risks, suggest design changes, and optimize for cost and lead time.

  • Apply process knowledge to quote complex parts confidently, even in challenging timelines.

• Technical Support & Expertise

  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and material requirements to ensure feasibility.

  • Provide alternatives for difficult-to-source materials or complex geometries.

  • Offer process guidance for machining, finishing, and assembly needs.

  • Deliver region-specific manufacturing expertise across the US, India, China, and Mexico. Optimized to match the customer’s unique requirements, budget constraints, lead time goals, and project priorities.

• Customer Engagement & Education

Your role as a Manufacturing Engineer will be to support and drive improvement to our critical manufacturing functions. We have two sets of customers—our builders, who order parts through us, and our manufacturing partners, who manufacture and assemble these parts—and you’ll be consistently working at the interface between the two.  At Fictiv, we believe in creating the world’s premier platform for hardware manufacturing, and you’ll be playing a critical role in making that happen.

In your role as the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be reviewing and analyzing the manufacturability and costs associated with CNC machining submitted by our builders. In this role, you’ll also be using your Mechanical Engineering background and knowledge of manufacturing processes in order to determine what design changes may need to be made to our builders’ design specifications in order to meet their needs. By developing highly competitive proposals and quotations that meet the requirements called out by our customers, you will be assisting in bringing products to market faster in a wide range of industries (and helping to accelerate Fictiv’s growth)

1. Package review - Study the package provided by Sales to determine scope of work, manufacturing feasibility & Lead time details
2. Should be able to define best suited manufacturing process, machine selection, cycle time calculations & setup costs
3. Should be able to generate Should cost using in house calculators & Fictiv's software recommendations
4. Manufacturing Partners quote scrutiny. To check whether the provided quote is correct in terms of optimized raw material, machining & secondary processes costs
5. Should be able to negotiate with Manufacturing partners on quotes provided and get the best costs out to ensure a win win situation
6. Should be able to understand secondary process eg Anodising, Zinc plating, Chemical conversion coatings with respect to their type, class, service class, methods etc 
7. Preparing RFQ package to Manufacturing Partners referring to capability & capacity plans 
8. Calculator Generations - Use own machining expertise & understanding of process cost drivers to develop cost calculators
9. DFx Feedback - Should be able to study the 3D Model, 2D prints to determine the manufacturability of the part & highlight key points that involve a design change recommendation
10. Automation Feedback - Provide feedback to Quoting SOftware team to improve accuracy of automated quoting of our manufacturing services
11. Packaging costs - Should be able to develop packaging concept & provide the same to Logistics team for generating Shipping costs
12. Follow up with Sales for Quoted RFQ's feedback on weekly basis & also provide feedback to Manufacturing partners about quoted RFQ's status
13. Work with CFT in evaluating value deals for project management validation, project de risking, quality documentation
14. Should be able to handle Assembly product structure

What You’ll Be Doing

• Coordinate international export shipments from India to the United States and other global destinations.
  
• Support India domestic transportation operations and manage imports operations.
  
• Prepare, review, and maintain import/export documentation, including CI, PL, COO, EVD, SDF, SCOMET, SLI, AWB, BL/SWB, Shipping Bill documentation, BOE, and E-way bills.

• Remote inspection Review part photographs, inspection reports(FAIR), and other documentation uploaded by Fictiv’s US manufacturing partners
• Part release Release all conforming parts by completing transactions in Fictiv’s ERP system, allowing Logistics to release shipping information to the manufacturing partners
• Reviews and verifies Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and other compliance documents against ASM, ASTM, SAE/AMS, and ISO standards, customer-specified requirements, and contractual specifications before authorising part release.

• Part rejection Provide clear and timely information to manufacturing partners about the reason(s) for rejection. Reviewing resubmitted parts
• Nonconformance reporting Entering nonconformance information into Fictiv’s proprietary Workbench system, so that improvement actions will be driven through our corrective action reporting process
• Supporting Fictiv’s industry-leading on-time, in-full (OTDIF) performance You will play a critical part in maintaining Fictiv’s performance by ensuring parts are released on time, even when manufacturing partners upload the parts within a short time of the shipping cutoff time, and making sure that no escaping defects reach the customer. There are no partial credits - we have to do both!

Your role as a Quality Manager will be to support and drive improvements with our corporate Quality Management System, ensuring it is agile enough to support our pre-production customers and disciplined enough to meet the requirements of our production customers, while meeting the needs of our ISO9001 registration. As the business continues to scale, you will be responsible for continually replacing stale indicators with more effective ones.

In this role, you’ll be using your quality engineering background, leveraging your analytical and structured problem solving skills, to resolve issues and to continually drive improvements. This will include supporting both internal and external customers. You will use your people management skills to get the most out of your team.

You will work closely with our engineers to ensure that Fictiv’s unique business tools are optimized to support the worldwide deployment of our quality management system.

• Extending our QMS to include industry-specific ISO standards (e.g. AS9100, ISO13485, TS16949), as applicable

• Ensure documentation and retention of composite test results and certifications as required by ISO, AS9100, or customer contracts.
• Train and certify QC inspectors and operators in composite inspection and testing techniques.
• Drive continuous improvement in composite quality metrics (e.g., first-pass yield, defect rates, rework rates).

• Develop and maintain composite-specific quality control ,inspection plans (for both FAI & production)
• Oversee Manufacturing partner for mechanical and non-destructive testing (NDT) of composite parts, ensuring compliance with industry and customer standards.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for composite-related defects.
• Ensure all composite material certifications, test results, and process documentation are maintained and audit-ready.
• Train and mentor team members in composite quality and testing best practices

Desired Traits

• A minimum of 7-10 years working in a quality management role
• You are results-oriented, data-driven, and self-directed, using a process approach and risk-based thinking to make significant changes
• Your excellent verbal and written communication skills allow you to collaborate successfully at all levels in the organization as well as with suppliers and customers
• You will have experience of working in a quickly scaling organization with demonstrated agility dealing successfully with unplanned changes
• You will blend tactical pragmatism with strategic innovation
• You will have experience with quality management system audits to the ISO 9001 standard, and knowledge of other quality management standards such as AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, etc.
