We are looking for an engineering manager who will translate our vision and enhance android applications of Meesho. As the android engineering manager, you will work closely with product/design/business teams to build the most user-friendly android applications. You would monitor and scale our teams, bring efficiency to the processes and implement the latest technologies to improve performance and reliability of our features.
Responsibilities:
Build, hire, and lead a high-calibre team of android engineers
Be responsible for setting and maintaining performance, latency, and efficiency SLOs
Coach and mentor engineers on the team to further their professional development
Set and support a culture of metrics driven quality, with efficient processes and strong transparency
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors / Masters in Computer Science with 8+ years of professional experience
Worked on one or more Android apps published on play store
Familiarity with Java, Kotlin, Android SDK, and the ecosystem
Familiarity with Material Design guidelines, common mobile UX patterns, and anti-patterns
Experience with common Android libraries like Retrofit, OkHttp, Picasso, RxJava, Gson, Arch components, etc.
Experience with different programming paradigms, esp. functional and reactive programming, multi-threading
Familiarity with git and continuous integration
Understanding of different architectural patterns (esp. MVVM) and their testability
Excellent teamwork, planning, and collaboration skills

You should have
