Overview

Actively participate in the support of Esri's purchasing activities, including vendor and supplier relationship maintenance and managing purchase orders. You will execute daily tasks and projects with support from buyers and other colleagues. 

Responsibilities

• Procure indirect materials, supplies, services, and equipment, as required
• Resolve supplier issues/concerns
• Resolve A/P invoice issues related to purchases
• Accurately and promptly reconcile assigned credit card accounts
• Process purchase orders timely and efficiently
• Maintain positive, effective relationships with suppliers and internal customers
• Effectively prioritize workload to achieve optimum efficiencies
• Perform various purchasing tasks, as needed

Requirements

• 4+ years of work experience in a business environment, such as commercial, operations, consumer products
  • 1+ years of work experience in Purchasing
• Professional self-starter capable of working with limited supervision
• Detail-oriented team player
• Superior customer service skills, excellent organizational skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good math and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to multi-task
• Able to interface with employees at all levels of the organization
• Proficient skill level in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of products

In this role, you’ll work closely with internal partners and external suppliers to deliver value through strategic sourcing, thoughtful supplier management, and a focus on quality, cost, and service.

Responsibilities

• Drive smarter buying decisions by performing total price and cost analyses on vendor quotes and proposals, turning data into clear recommendations
• Lead sourcing initiatives across suppliers and categories, supporting product standardization and end-to-end PR/PO processes
• Own vendor relationships, negotiating pricing and terms that deliver maximum value while maintaining strong, long-term partnerships
• Ensure business continuity by balancing quality, cost, and delivery to keep internal customers supported without disruption
• Collaborate cross-functionally, working closely with internal stakeholders to understand needs, align priorities, and deliver solutions
• Manage multiple initiatives at once, bringing structure, organization, and follow-through to every project

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive purchasing or procurement experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams during sourcing initiatives
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Proven negotiation skills and experience solving complex business problems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, purchasing, supply chain management, or related field
