Remote U.S. Legal Scopist (Independent Contractor)

We are currently seeking detail-oriented, reliable, and skilled Legal Scopists to scope legal documents. This independent contractor position offers the flexibility to work from home but also provides the opportunity to collaborate with a supportive and professional team.

Qualifications:

- Attention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented, able to scope complex legal content accurately.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word (2013 or newer, or Office 365).
Technology Requirements:
- PC Requirements: Windows 10 or higher.

Compensation:

Legal Transcriber (Remote - Contract)
eScribers is recruiting legal transcribers to join our highly skilled and dedicated UK team of professionals. The eScribers (Limited) UK Group comprises two highly successful transcription companies, eScribers Limited and Marten Walsh Cherer Limited. Successful candidates will contract with eScribers Limited and have the option of engaging with one or both of these entities, who operate independently within the Group, to undertake work. UK Digital Legal/Court Reporter (Logger/Recording Technician) | Remote (London Based Only - must be able to get to Central London easily) – Freelance
A digital legal/court reporter attends hearings either in person or remotely to record and take of log of the proceedings.

eScribers currently provides services to Courts, Tribunals, Inquests, Regulatory, and other hearings and meetings. A Digital Reporter/Logger’s duties will include:
- Transporting and setting up of digital recording equipment both remotely and on location.
- Managing the recording and logging of events in a professional and efficient manner, adhering to agreed timescales, and seeking appropriate support when necessary.
- Communicating effectively and appropriately with colleagues, clients and venue staff in order to best achieve eScribers’ contractual obligations to the highest standards.
- Building relationships with clients and host venues to ensure the smooth running of the event, and to facilitate the transfer of information to enable a quality transcript to be produced.
- Possessing an understanding of Court proceedings and basic legal terminology.
- Providing a high level of customer service and support to all Stakeholders.
- Identifying and troubleshooting common issues.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
