The Transportation and Capacity Analyst I/II/III/IV responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Nominations, confirmations, daily scheduling activities, imbalance management, and gas control communications for EQT Commodities.
Essential Duties:
- Manage gathering and regional interstate transportation assets, optimizing the FT portfolio scheduling, and EQT Commodities account management. Actualization of nominations, monthly closeout, and tariff rate management are performed by this role.
- Primary functions include capacity utilization, capacity releases, curtailment avoidance, imbalance management, accounting, customer communication, and compliance with contractual and federal obligations.
- Role should be able to troubleshoot daily, and monthly issues related to Endur ETRM system.
- Review pipeline operational postings, downstream requirements, production constraints, and industry-related developments to ensure that Commodities is maximizing EQT production, midstream, and downstream assets.
- Manage daily production fluctuations by tracking daily meter telemetry, daily capacity operational issues, and fluctuations in daily on system requirements by adjusting daily nominations/trading positions accordingly.
- This role is expected to be able to clearly communicate summaries of relevant market conditions upward within EQT Commodities.
- Experience with interstate/intrastate/midstream pipeline grid is expected to be used to develop organizational strategies within the region and throughout EQT Commodities.
- Extensive knowledge of the interstate pipeline grid and midstream is critical.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 1+ years of Transportation Services/Scheduling experience.
- Effective computer skills including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and logical testing skills are essential.
- As nominations are scheduled daily, this position requires working some evening/weekend periods and working an on-call rotation.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- 1+ years of Transportation Services/Scheduling experience.
- Experience preferred nominating/scheduling Texas Eastern, Eastern Gas Transmission, and gathering/midstream assets.
- 1-2 years of SCADA experience is highly preferred.
- Experience using Endur highly preferred.
Remote work is being considered for this role excluding the following states: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee unless willing to relocate.

The Transportation and Capacity Analyst I/II/III/IV responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Essential Duties:
- Manage interstate/intrastate transportation assets, optimizing firm transportation (FT) portfolio scheduling and supporting EQT Commodities account management.
- Coordinate and schedule natural gas nominations, purchases, and sales across multiple pipeline systems to ensure timely, penalty-free flow.
- Optimize capacity utilization, manage capacity releases, and mitigate curtailments and imbalances while ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
- Execute and manage wheeling transactions across interconnected pipeline systems to optimize flow paths and maximize asset value.
- Schedule storage assets, including injections, withdrawals, and inventory optimization, to support seasonal and daily supply-demand balancing.
- Execute and manage Park and Loan (PAL) services, tracking balances and leveraging opportunities to enhance operational flexibility and commercial value.
- Integrate supply, market conditions, and service contract data to develop and execute optimal nomination and transportation strategies.
- Monitor pipeline electronic bulletin boards (EBBs), operational postings, downstream requirements, production constraints, and industry developments to maximize the value of EQT production, midstream, and downstream assets.
- Track daily meter telemetry and system demand fluctuations; proactively adjust nominations and trading positions to manage production variability and operational risks.
- Collaborate with traders, operations teams, third-party customers, and pipeline representatives to resolve issues and maintain reliable system operations.
- Reconcile pipeline activity and statements with internal systems; support accounting functions including monthly closeout, settlement processes, and tariff rate management.
- Troubleshoot daily and monthly issues within the Endur ETRM system and ensure data accuracy across systems.
- Communicate clear and concise summaries of market conditions, operational risks, and strategic insights to internal stakeholders and leadership.
- Leverage extensive knowledge of interstate pipeline grids, storage services, and midstream systems to support regional and organizational strategy development.
- Participate in rotational on-call coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

The Trader I/II/Sr./Principal is responsible for managing and optimizing a natural gas trading portfolio with a focus on Midwest and Rockies markets, leveraging detailed market analysis, risk management, and execution of physical and financial transactions. The position requires deep knowledge of Midwest and Rockies supply/demand dynamics, pipeline flows, and pricing hubs, along with strong quantitative and analytical skills to make disciplined decisions in fast-moving market conditions. The trader partners closely with risk, operations, and commercial teams to drive profitability while adhering to firm risk limits and compliance standards.
The Trader I/II/Sr/Principal responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Initiate, develop and execute strategies to capture profitable term natural gas trading opportunities within the Midwest and Rockies region.
- Monitor and evaluate relevant market conditions, pivoting in/out of trades as necessitated by market conditions.
- Evaluate existing trading processes and collaborate with trading personnel to improve efficiency, transparency and value-added measures.
- Evaluate, execute, and manage short and long-term storage positions across the Midwest and Rockies, optimizing around seasonal spreads, and power and industrial load to create incremental value.
- Use experience to develop optimization and trading strategies and direct origination efforts to execute these strategies.
- This role is expected to be able to clearly communicate summaries of relevant market conditions & opportunities upward within the organization.
- Primary responsibility for establishing and executing trading strategies to optimize the value of EQT's contractual pipeline capacity & storage assets.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in natural gas trading, scheduling, and origination.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative/innovative with strong ability to understand market conditions and then translate into profitable results.
- Knowledge and understanding of regional pipeline/storage infrastructure and respective supply and demand composition and working relationships with commercial participants.
- Ability to construct a regional supply & demand model, knowledge of specific pipeline constraints, flows, costs, storage, contracts, end users and scheduling.
- Experience trading physical, futures, swaps, options, storage, index and spreads.
- Ability to meaningfully contribute to the development of natural gas commercial strategies.
- Working relationship with commercial participants (producers/pipelines/utilities/end users/traders).
- Understanding of the calculation of intrinsic & extrinsic values of transportation capacity and storage opportunities.
- Ability to travel up to 10-20% of the time for customer events, industry conferences, and team gatherings.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in natural gas trading, scheduling, and origination.
- Masters degree in business, finance, engineering, or related field.
