About the role and what you'll be doing: 

• Match packing slip to purchase order, perform visual inspection for accuracy, enter data into inventory management tools
• Work with Procurement and process all incoming shipments accurately daily
• Package orders properly for safe shipment.
• Support Hardware by providing an organized shipping, receiving and the spare parts departments
• Develop processes, techniques, and training programs to strengthen the Facilities Services and Hardware Engineering department.
• Troubleshoot customer requests
• Work with freight companies to ensure timely pickup/deliveries are satisfied
• Work with outside supplier to meet customer requirements
• Log, analyze and promptly take steps to resolve and/or escalate problems experienced by internal and external customers.
• Work along with internal and external customers to proactively identify requirements.
• Make recommendations to enhance the reliability, availability, and performance of the Facilities Hardware department
• Adhere to strict change control practices in a mission-critical datacenter environment.
• Develop and maintain documentation and processes to reflect up-to-date and accurate.
• Maintain a high level of proficiency and in-depth knowledge related to the activities of the hardware team on an ongoing basis.
• Coordination with customers to support computer upgrades such as memory, disk, CPUs, and peripheral cards utilizing the change control process.
• Maintain exact control of the warehouse.
• Define the different types of parts and equipment.
• Support Hardware installations.
• Implement the standards contained in the Hardware and Operation Best Practices and "Code of Business Ethics & Conduct
• Work procedure and / or responsibility are assigned.
• Responsible for updating DCIM tool

Schedule will be Monday through Friday 8:00a - 4:30p Central Time and must be onsite in the Downers Grove, IL office.

Required Qualifications

• Performs warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of products, parts, and materials. Loads, unloads, moves, or stores items according to delivery or routing documents, or supervisor instructions; operates a hand forklift or other equipment.
• Ability to understand material flow within a stockroom environment
• Shipping and receiving experience beneficial
• Individual will need to have the ability to prioritize daily work functions in a manner that meets all required tasks at hand.
• Have demonstrated the ability to safely operate warehouse equipment
• Must be able to lift to 75 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred however will be substituted for two additional years of applicable experience including 30 post-secondary credits in business or technical discipline beyond a High School diploma or recognized equivalent. Relevant experience can be substituted for post-secondary education.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $18.00 to $22.00 hourly based on a full-time schedule. Overview:
The Data Center Facilities Specialist is responsible for the planning, maintenance, and documentation of data center operations and associated mission-critical infrastructure. This role ensures effective oversight of contractor activities and maintenance practices to maintain operational integrity and energy efficiency.

Position Objectives:

• Ensure operational best practices to maintain availability and uptime of mission-critical operations and infrastructure.
• Review and document operational and emergency procedures, maintaining as-built documentation.
• Share technical knowledge with team members to promote professional growth and cross-training.
• Optimize energy efficiency of data center facilities and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and manage critical equipment for routine and emergency services, including HVAC, plumbing, chillers, and fire detection systems.
• Conduct inspections and recommend improvements for building and mechanical systems.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for emergency response.
• Perform daily inspections to ensure site integrity.
• Coordinate contractor services for operations, maintenance, and construction.
• Maintain infrastructure per manufacturer recommendations and company standards.
• Develop MOP documents and prepare technical documentation.
• Interface with building management systems to ensure operational efficiencies.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships for equipment repair and maintenance.
• Provide oversight for assigned projects, directing project teams and contractors.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience in a mission-critical environment.
• Operational knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and building automation systems.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player with project management and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic understanding of budgets and procurement processes.
• Competent in PC skills and maintenance tools.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or greater.
• 2+ years in a mission-critical facility is a plus.
• Trade certifications (HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical) preferred.
• Military training or technical certifications desired.
