Are you looking for a creative internship where you can support our brand design with clever designs wrapped in a pretty bow? Then this vacancy was designed for you. 

As the Design intern in the marketing team, you work hard on the visual representation and growth of the DEPT® brand. Your creations can shine in both digital and print context, and you are quick to think outside the box with your design ideas (but within the brand guidelines ;)). You don’t shy away from design programs like Figma, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Keynote. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contribute to brand consistency, by ensuring that all designs align with DEPT®’s brand guidelines and visual identity across all touchpoints.
• Assist in the development of creative concepts and designs for the DEPT® website, newsletter, events, social media, and our internal communication. 
• Help maintain and update design templates: manage and update Figma or Adobe templates used by the global marketing team to streamline production. 
• Participate in creative reviews and feedback sessions: present work, receive feedback, and contribute ideas in collaborative sessions with the wider design and marketing team.
• Stay up to date on design trends: research and share insights on current design trends, AI tools, and techniques relevant to branding and digital design.

You will work closely together with the marketing design team, and you will get the opportunity to explore your interests and talents. Of course, we’ll be there to guide you along the way!

Please note: to be eligible for this internship, you are required to be living and studying in the Netherlands.

• Have an affinity with graphic design, social media and digital campaigns;

JOB PURPOSE

For our fast-growing and ambitious business unit, we are looking for two talented individuals to complement our Marketing Technology team.   

This role will introduce you to all the different operational aspects of the Marketing Technology world and the most cutting edge online marketing techniques in the market. You will work within a team with a diverse skill set, which will help you to discover both search & display marketing, as well as data analytics and cloud solutions. This wide range of exposure will set you up to become a well-rounded financial/administrative operations associate.

The MarTech team

Our team started in 2020 with selling Google Marketing Platform, as the first of a number of MarTech tools that we sell. With the different MarTech tools that we sell, we enable and help our clients grow in using these platforms. At the moment we're helping out more than 50 clients all over Europe and the Middle East, with an ambition to expand our boundaries.

JOB PURPOSE

This role is part of our Legal Team at DEPT®, a group of passionate colleagues that will feel like friends in no time. You will support the Legal team with various legal and administrative tasks, collaborating with stakeholders across the business in the environment of a leading international agency with the energy of a dynamic local team. 

As Legal Counsel - Commercial Contracts, you will support DEPT®’s business across Germany and Switzerland by advising on, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts across our (digital) marketing and technology operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams across Germany, Switzerland and other parts of EMEA you will ensure compliance with German law and, where relevant, Swiss laws while minimizing risk and supporting the agency’s commercial objectives.

WHAT YOU´LL DO

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including client service agreements (e.g. MSAs, SOWs, SLAs), supplier contracts, and licensing agreements (IP, AI, software, cloud and technology-related agreements). 
• Provide day-to-day legal advice to the business on German and Swiss law commercial matters. 
• Support the development and maintenance of contract templates, policies, playbooks and legal workflows, including by developing and delivering workshops and training sessions for business stakeholders. 
• Partner with business and operational teams to identify and mitigate legal risks while achieving commercial objectives.
• Stay informed about relevant developments in German and Swiss law and industry-specific regulations, including GDPR, IP, digital services and technology-related legal developments.
• Collaborate closely with other members of the Legal Team to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing across regions.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Fully qualified German lawyer (Volljurist: 1. und 2. Staatsexamen); familiarity with Swiss law is a plus.
• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal role, with a strong focus on commercial contract law. 
• Strong knowledge of German contract and commercial law; experience with Swiss contract and commercial law and/or cross-border (DACH) matters is a plus. 
• Basic working knowledge of key regulatory frameworks relevant to digital marketing and technology services, including GDPR, the EU AI Act, and advertising/marketing regulations applicable in the DACH region. 
• Exposure to (digital) marketing, advertising and/or technology services is strongly preferred.

JOB PURPOSE

This role is part of our Legal Team at DEPT®, a group of passionate colleagues that will feel like friends in no time. You will support the Legal team with various legal and administrative tasks, collaborating with stakeholders across the business in the environment of a leading international agency with the energy of a dynamic local team. 

As Legal Counsel - Commercial Contracts, you will support DEPT®’s business across Germany and Switzerland by advising on, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts across our (digital) marketing and technology operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams across Germany, Switzerland and other parts of EMEA you will ensure compliance with German law and, where relevant, Swiss laws while minimizing risk and supporting the agency’s commercial objectives.

WHAT YOU´LL DO

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including client service agreements (e.g. MSAs, SOWs, SLAs), supplier contracts, and licensing agreements (IP, AI, software, cloud and technology-related agreements). 
• Provide day-to-day legal advice to the business on German and Swiss law commercial matters. 
• Support the development and maintenance of contract templates, policies, playbooks and legal workflows, including by developing and delivering workshops and training sessions for business stakeholders. 
• Partner with business and operational teams to identify and mitigate legal risks while achieving commercial objectives.
• Stay informed about relevant developments in German and Swiss law and industry-specific regulations, including GDPR, IP, digital services and technology-related legal developments.
• Collaborate closely with other members of the Legal Team to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing across regions.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Fully qualified German lawyer (Volljurist: 1. und 2. Staatsexamen); familiarity with Swiss law is a plus.
• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal role, with a strong focus on commercial contract law. 
• Strong knowledge of German contract and commercial law; experience with Swiss contract and commercial law and/or cross-border (DACH) matters is a plus. 
• Basic working knowledge of key regulatory frameworks relevant to digital marketing and technology services, including GDPR, the EU AI Act, and advertising/marketing regulations applicable in the DACH region. 
• Exposure to (digital) marketing, advertising and/or technology services is strongly preferred. 
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in a services-based environment is a plus. 
• Pragmatic, business-oriented mindset with the ability to balance legal risk and commercial needs.
• Comfortable making risk-based decisions in an in-house environment. 
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within an international Legal Team. 
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken; French language skills are a plus. 
• Confident communicator who can advise non-legal stakeholders clearly, practically and commercially.

As Legal Counsel – Commercial Contract (EMEA), you will support DEPT®’s business across EMEA, with a focus on drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements. 

As we currently do not have German language capabilities within the Legal Team, strong German language skills (written and spoken) are essential. You will support German-speaking stakeholders and handle German language contracts and negotiations where required. 

You will act as a pragmatic business partner, balancing legal risk with commercial objectives. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Fully qualified lawyer (preferably NL, Germany or another European jurisdiction) or equivalent in-house experience 
• 3-5 years’ experience in commercial and contract law at a law firm and/or in-house role
• Fluent German (written and spoken) and fluent English required
• Familiarity with German and Swiss law is a plus 
• Experience in (digital) marketing, advertising and/or technology services is preferred
• Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in a services-based environment is a plus
• Working knowledge of key regulatory frameworks relevant to digital marketing and technology services, including GDPR, the EU AI Act, and preferably advertising/marketing regulations applicable in the DACH region
