About the Team

You'll lead the AI Platform Team, the engine room for agentic workflows at dbt Labs. This team doesn't just build features; it builds the Agentic Platform that powers both our internal AI features and external AI integrations.

About The Team

dbt Fusion is building the next generation of data execution and connectivity infrastructure, enabling dbt workloads to run efficiently across diverse compute engines and data platforms. As a Senior Engineer on the Fusion Adapters and Connectivity team, you’ll design and ship core abstractions powering how dbt communicates with execution systems — leveraging Rust, Go, Arrow, and emerging open standards. In this role, you can expect to:

We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Quality and Release Platform (QARP) team and lead the technical direction of the platforms that power how dbt Labs builds, tests, and ships software. Our mission spans two critical areas: release engineering — making it easy for engineers to ship changes quickly, safely, and reliably — and code quality — building a platform that raises the bar for code quality across all of dbt Labs engineering. You'll work with tools like Helm, ArgoCD, Terraform, Python, GitHub Actions, and Kargo to architect and scale our deployment systems, while also helping design and build the tooling, frameworks, and automation that enable engineering teams to consistently produce high-quality code.
