The team works cross-functionally with marketing, enrollment, product, and operations to help partners meet their recruitment and revenue goals.

As a Degree Success Manager, you will serve as the primary strategic and operational lead for a portfolio of university partners. You will own the degree component of the partnership, manage day-to-day relationships, oversee program performance, and ensure marketing and recruitment strategies are aligned with the program needs. Working closely with the Degrees marketing and enrollment teams, you’ll develop and deliver partner/program specific strategy briefs based on analysis of recruitment funnel.

This role blends relationship management, marketing and recruitment strategy, and operational discipline. The right candidate will bring strong communication skills, data fluency, and a bias for action to help our partners succeed in every recruitment cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for university partners’ degree programs, ensuring smooth coordination across marketing, enrollment, product, and support.
• Partner with internal teams to develop program-specific marketing and recruitment strategies and plans aligned to partner goals and Coursera best practices.
• Monitor and analyze funnel metrics to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Enrollment to ensure lead quality, timely follow-up, and conversion improvements throughout the funnel.
• Manage updates to degree program pages, webinar planning, email nurtures, and other promotional tactics in partnership with Degrees Growth Marketing team.
• Lead quarterly recruitment reviews and degree QBRs by compiling data, insights, and recommendations to inform partner discussions.
• Track and manage partner requests, escalations, and deliverables, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and communication remains proactive.
• Build trusted relationships with partner stakeholders through transparency, responsiveness, and a commitment to shared success.

Basic Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in account management, recruitment marketing, or partner success roles supporting recruitment or marketing initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and develop customized marketing or enrollment plans to address funnel challenges.
• Analytical skills and experience using data to assess performance and guide decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to external partners and cross-functional leaders.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in higher-education marketing, online enrollment management, or edtech partnerships.
• Familiarity with marketing and enrollment funnels, CRM and marketing-automation tools
• Proven ability to translate marketing data and insights into actionable partner recommendations.
• Track record of improving campaign or funnel performance through testing and optimization.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, build alignment, and execute in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

The Degrees Success team works cross-functionally with marketing, enrollment representatives, data science and technical operation teams to help partners meet their recruitment goals.

The Degree Program Operations Specialist will be part of the Degrees Success Team, supporting select APAC (India) degree programs. 

This role serves as a key operational contact for university partners, ensuring smooth cohort launches and closes, resolving learner account issues, and equipping partners with the knowledge and tools needed to successfully manage their programs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple workflows in a fast-paced, partner-facing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Cohort & Operational Management
• Coordinate key milestones required for cohort launches and closes, including course mapping, grading timelines, and workflow completion.
• Send proactive reminders and maintain operational trackers to ensure adherence to program timelines.

• Partner Triage & Learner Account Support
• Diagnose and guide resolution of student account linking issues, including email access and data discrepancies.
• Review program rosters to identify linkage gaps and proactively notify partners of required actions.
• Monitor ticketing systems and support dashboards to ensure visibility into open issues and timely resolution.

• Platform Training & Enablement
• Provide partner training and guidance on Coursera Admin tools and platform workflows.
• Support onboarding activities such as orientation setup, Zoom access, course shell creation, grading processes, and student tool access.
• Partner with Technical Account Management and Product Support teams to remove operational blockers and support successful learner enrollment.

Basic Qualifications

• 4/5+ years of professional experience in operations, program coordination, partner support, customer success, or a related function.
• Experience working in a partner-facing or customer-facing role, preferably in a technical or SaaS environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously and drive tasks to completion with strong attention to detail.
• Experience triaging support requests and coordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace (particularly Google Sheets) and comfort maintaining operational trackers and dashboards.
• Ability to analyze basic data (e.g., rosters, account status, enrollment records) to identify discrepancies and recommend next steps.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical processes to non-technical stakeholders.

Job Overview

Coursera’s Strategic Launch sub-team is building a durable capability to ingest, transform, and launch partner content at scale. This Specialist role supports content ingestion/import, transformations, and launch workflows by executing ingestion tasks, running UAT/QA, reconciling ingestion errors, and triaging defects. The role partners closely with Partner Enablement staff,Product & Engineering, the Services Org, and Teaching & Learning to ensure partner content meets Coursera specifications and launches reliably.

Responsibilities:

• Execute ingestion/import workflows (Common Cartridge, edX, SCORM, etc) and follow playbook SOPs for content structuring and transformation according to Coursera pedagogical standards
• Develop and run UAT/QA test cases against acceptance criteria, logging results, maintaining test artifacts, and documenting evidence of reproducibility
• Log, triage, and verify defects with reproducible steps, evidence, and impact; coordinate triage with Product & Engineering
• Reconcile ingestion errors and data mismatches, collaborate on investigation of pipeline failures, and escalate to Platform/Solutions Engineering as needed
• Support launch readiness and execution (pre-launch checks, testing where applicable) and coordinate launch-day validation with Coursera implementation staff and support teams
• Maintain SOPs and a test-case library; surface recurring failure modes and recommend process/tool improvements
• Track and report basic operational metrics (error rate, failure/success rates, time-to-reconcile, post-launch critical defects)

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of relevant experience (QA/UAT, content operations, technical support, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented SOPs and checklists
• Basic technical literacy: comfortable reading CSV/JSON/scripts, using web authoring tools, and understanding system flow/upstream vs downstream
• Experience writing/executing test cases and logging actionable bug reports (steps, environment, evidence)
• Clear written and verbal communication for cross-functional and partner-facing updates
• Able to work on well-scoped problems with general instruction and frequent check-ins for new assignments 

Nice to haves:

• Familiarity with content authoring/import formats and tools (Common Cartridge, SCORM, tar.gz, etc)
