Job overview:  

The Associate Director, Commercial Forecasting plays a pivotal role in driving Compass Pathways' commercial success by developing accurate sales unit forecasts, including demand volumes, ex-factory volumes, and inventory across short, medium, and long-term horizons. 

This position partners closely with Commercial leadership, Market Access, FP&A, and operational stakeholders to incorporate key market drivers such as growth dynamics, contracting scenarios, payer mix, and patient services into flexible, scenario-based models that support strategic decision-making and quarterly financial submissions. 

Location: Home based on the East Coast, US or hybrid in your New York City office.  

Reporting to: Senior Director, FP&A.  

Roles and responsibilities:
(include but not limited to) 

• Develop commercial sales unit forecasts, including demand volumes, ex-factory volumes and inventory for short, medium and long term forecasts  

• Develop and maintain forecast assumptions for broader market to understand unfolding market dynamics  (market growth, market share expectations, impact of potential market entrants etc.)  

• Partner with Market Access to understand volume implications of potential contracting scenarios and/or patient services programs  

• Ensure forecast models maintain flexibility to support scenario planning for various outcomes, documenting key underlying assumptions for each scenario   

• Develop key metric tracker and report budget vs actuals vs most recent forecast submission  

• Partner closely with Commercial leadership to identify all key underlying drivers and data sources to incorporate into forecast models (market research, expected contracting / payer decisions, patient services offerings, payer mix dynamics, persistency etc.)  

• Partner with various stakeholders to understand key outputs for other key operational deliverables (Supply chain, Commercial Operations etc.)   

• Support FP&A/accounting partners with key monthly/quarterly deliverables including related to underlying forecast assumptions with GTN implications  

• Develop robust review materials to gain consensus with Commercial leadership on forecast ranges and underlying assumptions in advance of quarterly financial submissions 

• Ensure that all forecasting deliverables and reviews are performed within the timelines set forth by the FP&A / Corporate calendar   

Candidate Profile: 

• BA/BS in a quant or related field is required (advanced degree is a preferred)   

• 8+ years pharma/life sciences experience   

• Extensive experience in Commercial forecasting   

• Specialty product experience is preferred  

• Advanced Excel modeling and strong PowerPoint skills required  

• Deep knowledge and understanding of relevant data sets (claims, national/subnational, patient services, specialty pharmacy, market research outputs etc.)  

• Demonstrated ability to work in a self directed manner with strong problem solving skills  

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex modelling concepts into presentations for executive level management 

• Experience working in a highly matrixed environment 

Job overview:

The Senior Manager, Reporting & SOX will support the Director, External Reporting (based East Coast, US) and the rest of the Finance team (hybrid US & UK) and play an integral part in ongoing SEC Reporting (including external audit review) as well as SOX compliance including process design and monitoring. On an annual basis, this role will support the UK Statutory Accounts process.

The majority of this role will involve contributing to SEC reporting efforts and leading process design, refinement and documentation efforts for expanding business processes, in particular as we progress through commercialization. This role will spearhead process improvement initiatives, including the documentation and assessment of related controls to a SOX standard. Currently, the Company reports under SOX 404(a) and expects to be in scope for 404(b) by FY27.  The annual UK statutory accounts are prepared under IFRS.

The role requires flexibility, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for collaborative, cross-functional work, with increasing interaction with the Executive Team as the company moves toward commercialization.

The Company uses NetSuite as its ERP system, Fidelity as its share administration platform, Workday Adaptive for budgeting and partners with ADP as payroll providers. We use Workiva/Wdesk to support SOX documentation efforts.

Financial Reporting & Audit

• Working closely with the Senior Director, Controller and Director of External Reporting on quarterly and annual reporting processes including interactions with external audit
• Proactive collaboration with other members of the Finance function and the wider company. We encourage cross-functional working and support those who wish to gain experience beyond their immediate job description
• Preparation of technical accounting memos as required
• Working closely with external tax advisors

SOX & Internal Controls

• Lead SOX process design, documentation, and monitoring (currently 404(a); anticipating 404(b))
• Cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate documentation and controls for evolution of processes
• Support of internal audit program and partnering with our external partner (RSM), to ensure the controls which they operate are appropriately evidenced
• Working closely with the Finance team and cross-functionally with IT, Legal, HR and Commercial teams, in particular, to ensure processes are accurately documented and appropriate controls are designed with consideration of both best practices and supporting scalability

Job overview:  

The Senior Financial Analyst, Commercial delivers critical FP&A support to Commercial OPEX budget owners, handling budgeting, quarterly forecasts, long-range planning, and detailed budget vs. actuals at department, account, and PO levels. Builds and maintains OPEX forecast models for hub/patient services, T&E, and headcount; partners on business cases, PO approvals, spend risks/opportunities, SOX compliance, and Accounting alignment. 

Drives process improvements, executive presentations, and cross-functional partnering in a fast-paced, pre-launch biotech environment advancing mental health treatments. Highly preferred to have prior biotech/pharma experience.

Location: Hybrid in New York City office. Must be commutable to NYC office or northern NJ office at least 1-2 days/week.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Provide FP&A support to Commercial OPEX budget owners budget, quarterly forecast and long range planning submissions 

• Prepare detailed budget vs actuals at the relevant level of analysis (dept level, account level, purchase order level etc) for review with Commercial budget owners 

• Create and maintain OPEX forecast models for Commercial related activities, including hub/patient services, T&E analysis etc 

• Partner with Commercial leadership and the People Team to understand headcount requests, timing and all associated expenses (benefits, recruiting, sign-ons etc) 

• Support business plan development for potential Commercial OPEX investments  

• Partner with Commercial OPEX budget owners to ensure purchase orders are created and approved with accurate coding and in accordance with our delegation of authority  

• Proactively identify spending risks and opportunities through interactions with and escalate to FP&A/Commercial leadership when appropriate 

• Partner closely with broader FP&A team for corporate / SOX deliverables 

• Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate reflection of actuals and to ensure alignment of expense and cash forecasts according to accounting treatment 

• Input relevant data into Powerpoint presentations for Commercial, Executive and Board level leadership

Candidate Profile: 

• Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting 

• 3-5 years FP&A experience in a public company
