The team owns the internal platform end-to-end—monorepo CI/CD, our Agentic AI platform (DriftlessAF), shared build infrastructure, and the foundation for how changes get validated, reviewed, and landed. AI agents are reshaping how change reaches production, and a key focus this year is scaling that substrate well beyond what traditional PR-based workflows can support, while keeping safety and review quality high. What you'll do

• Take ownership of significant pieces of the Developer Platform, across monorepo CI/CD, the Agentic AI platform (DriftlessAF), shared build infrastructure, or the change-throughput substrate, and contribute to technical direction alongside the rest of the team.

• Partner with our Sales Team to help customers evaluate and prove the value of our solution
• Focus on acquiring new customer “logos” in addition to growing existing customer base
• Own all technical aspects of sales opportunities and assisting current customers understand the value of Chainguard

  • Listen to our customers and understand their challenges
  • Conduct product demonstrations and POVs/POCs
  • Actively participate in webinars, meetups, conferences and other marketing initiatives

• Experience as a Sales Engineer / Pre-Sales Engineer

OTE RANGE (based on experience/location): $225,000-275,000

We’re looking for highly motivated sales executives who have strong market knowledge and enjoy building relationships with key decision makers to evangelize building secure and reliable software. Our sales team walks a mile in their customers shoes and wants our customers and prospects to see the immense value and expertise Chainguard's solutions offer.

Skills/Job Requirements:

• Define and execute sales plans for your assigned territory
• Convey value prop and product differentiators to prospects and customers
• Forecast, meet, and exceed quota
• Through a combination of inbound and outbound leads, develop and manage leads funnel
• Manage business and track opportunities through CRM and other supporting tools
• Collaborate on and improve all aspects of the sales cycle, including product, support, and sales engineering
• Understand the competitive market, being familiar with competing companies and their offerings

Candidate Background:

• 1+ years of selling SaaS/Security experience required
• Candidate must be located in the Northern California region.
• Domain experience with one or more of the following strongly recommended: Compute platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), DevOps Tooling, CICD platforms (Github, Gitlab, jenkins), and overall SDLC.
• Strong track record consistently overachieving sales targets
• Ability to learn new products and create/learn processes quickly
• Competitive/Driven

• Must be willing to travel to clients to support sales relationships (if required)

Compensation: up to $200,000 base salary + bonus (depending on experience)

We simplify developer workflows by providing a safe open source foundation for applications. This trusted foundation keeps security teams happy, and developers productive so they can spend their time building not patching.

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to work closely with our developer customers and their security stakeholders to define and build the future of our Containers product. To succeed you must be highly technical and sweat the details alongside your engineering partners, delivering capabilities iteratively and frequently to unlock customer growth. You should also have an extreme sense of ownership and urgency that puts customers above all else, ruthlessly prioritizing and marshalling whatever resources are needed to solve their problems.

What you’ll do:

• Drive the strategy, roadmap and—most importantly—ship great products that streamline how developers adopt and build with Chainguard Container Images.
• Lead projects from ideation through launch and beyond, iteratively unlocking new customers and improving the product while overseeing maintenance and support.
• Gather and respond to quantitative and qualitative data and feedback, measuring the effectiveness of your team’s efforts and changing direction when required. 
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Product Marketing, UX, and other cross-functional teams, ensuring that 
• Represent the company externally wherever needed, including meetings with customers and prospects, partners, and industry analysts.

What we're looking for:

• Technical depth is a must, as you’ll need to quickly establish credibility with developers and speak their language. Either prior experience as a developer, or proven success working in systems, networks, or an adjacent highly technical area.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record engaging deeply with customers and owning outcomes with hands-on execution and delivery.
• Ability to adapt and work in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

Bonus criteria:

• Linux software packaging and/or container image building experience.
• Experience with compliance and regulatory frameworks and standards such as FedRAMP, STIGs, FIPS, etc.
