The Role:
Celonis is looking for a Senior ABAP Developer to design and implement modern data integration features to our platform. This is a full-time position located in Bengaluru, India and we are looking for team members that focus on writing maintainable and reliable code, work well independently, and thrive on collaboration and feedback as part of an agile development process.
The work you’ll do:
- Take ownership of features from design to implementation.
- Extend the capabilities of SAP integration.
- Contribute towards continual improvements in our development and release processes.
- Collaborate with our cloud development teams in integrating new features we develop in SAP with our cloud product.
- Research and drive new integration possibilities with SAP’s cloud products.
The qualifications you need:
- Have at least 5 years of experience as a professional ABAP Developer.
- High level of commitment and responsibility as well as enthusiasm for the challenges that arise during software development.
- Experience with object-oriented ABAP and GUI development.
- Experience working with both R3 and S4/HANA, with knowledge of the FI, MM, and SD modules as a plus.
- Have an overall understanding of SAP products, with a deep focus on integration options.
- Write clear, maintainable, and testable code.
- Excellent English skills

The Role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer (Java) to join the Provisioning & Licensing team. This is a high-impact role that demands significant autonomy and ownership, driving the technical design and delivery of mission-critical systems.
You will be responsible for our core provisioning pipeline. Additionally, you will apply your expertise and technical knowledge to support the development of our strategic Self-Managed Platform Solution for highly regulated environments. The Team: Provisioning & Licensing
You will be part of the Provisioning & Licensing team, the vital "glue team" between our business functions and the core platform.
- The team owns the latency-sensitive internal APIs for automatically creating new tenants based on customer data, as well as our internal Feature & Configuration system (like a car configurator, just for microservices!).
- Your team is a central internal unit with many touchpoints across other engineering teams and business teams like Licensing Management.
- When it comes to prioritization, we value your input and expect you to contribute actively to the prioritization discussions in our dynamic environment.
The Tech Stack
Our stack is modern, cloud-native, and focused on portability to support our strategic on-premise deployments.
- Core Technologies: Java 25, Spring Boot, Postgres as the main datastore.
- Containerization: We are all in on containerization and orchestration, running our applications on Kubernetes (K8s).
- Architecture: We develop within a new & modern modular monolithic application with strongly enforced boundaries between the modules.
- DevOps: Writing deployment files with the help of Kustomize and deploying our applications with Github CI and Kargo. We use Datadog for metrics, logs, and as our APM tool.
The Work You’ll Do
This role requires you to operate with a high degree of independence, owning complex technical problem spaces, and applying your expertise to strategic initiatives.
- End-to-End Problem Ownership: Independently take ownership of significant portions of the development process from architecture to delivery. You build it, you own it! (We mean it.)
- Self-Managed Solution Contribution: Contribute to the implementation of the Self-Managed Platform Solution. You will support the team by implementing components, tooling, and integration patterns, leveraging your knowledge of Kubernetes, IaC, and On-Premise environments to help package and operationalize our core platform.
- Technical Strategy: Have a strong say in the technical vision and strategy for your team, balancing trade-off decisions between the cloud and self-managed deployment models (hello, complexity!).
- Reliability & Scalability: Continuously focus on the scalability and reliability of our services, upholding the defined latency SLAs.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Collaborate with other Engineering teams (i.e., Identity, Platform) to deliver broad-impact technical projects. Actively ensure high software quality standards and thoroughly document processes, concepts, and insights (help us save time later!).
The Qualifications You Need
- 7+ years of professional experience building high-performance Java applications.
- Strong practical experience with Spring frameworks.
- Expert-level familiarity with containerization (i.e., Docker) and proven experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes (K8s).
- Experience with REST APIs and/or distributed micro-service architecture.
- Experience in writing and setting up comprehensive tests (unit and integration tests).
- Strong communication skills in English and a passion for clean and understandable code.
Nice to Have (High-Impact Skills):
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with tools like Terraform.
- Systems Programming: Experience with languages like Go for building automation and tooling.
- On-Premise Experience: Prior experience with the architectural and operational challenges of On-Premise or Self-Managed enterprise solutions, including deployment models and packaging (e.g., Helm).
- Experience with monitoring and log analysis capabilities (i.e., DataDog).

- Proven background in building cloud-native software in the Kubernetes ecosystem, as well as with and on Hyperscalers such as AWS.

The Role:
Join the Process Mining Technology division as a Research Engineer for Process Mining Innovation. The division is focused on developing and testing cutting-edge algorithms and approaches for process discovery and data-driven process modeling. In this role, you will specialize in Object-Centric Process Mining (OCPM), a novel, multidimensional approach that is defining the future of process mining. Your responsibilities will include:
- Translating requirements and innovative ideas into functional code.
- Rigorously evaluating the efficacy and performance of the developed code.
- Implementing and integrating solutions into our existing product suite.
- Collaborating closely with product managers and other software engineers to ensure successful deployment to production.
We expect you to contribute to the scientific community and our intellectual property portfolio by:

Key Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:
- PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.
- Hands-on experience with Process Mining, Data Analytics, or Business Intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik).
- Initial experience in programming, working with databases, and ETL processes.
- Strong communication skills, coupled with an interest in engaging with potential customers.
- Fluent spoken and written English is mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate 'out-of-the-box' thinking are key personal traits sought for this role.
Beneficial/Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of German is a plus.

The Role:
Celonis is looking for a Senior ABAP Developer to design and implement modern data integration features to our platform. This is a full-time position located in Bengaluru, India and we are looking for team members that focus on writing maintainable and reliable code, work well independently, and thrive on collaboration and feedback as part of an agile development process.
The work you’ll do:
- Take ownership of features from design to implementation.
- Extend the capabilities of SAP integration.
- Contribute towards continual improvements in our development and release processes.
- Collaborate with our cloud development teams in integrating new features we develop in SAP with our cloud product.
- Research and drive new integration possibilities with SAP’s cloud products.
The qualifications you need:
- Have at least 5 years of experience as a professional ABAP Developer.
- High level of commitment and responsibility as well as enthusiasm for the challenges that arise during software development.
- Experience with object-oriented ABAP and GUI development.
- Experience working with both R3 and S4/HANA, with knowledge of the FI, MM, and SD modules as a plus.
- Have an overall understanding of SAP products, with a deep focus on integration options.
- Write clear, maintainable, and testable code.
- Excellent English skills.

The Role:
As an Engineering Manager for our Celonis Process Management team, you will lead the design and delivery of cutting-edge solutions to integrate Process Management seamlessly into the Celonis Platform. This role is at the crossroads of technology, user experience, and strategic impact, driving the next wave of innovation in process management.
Your team will focus on building robust, scalable APIs and microservices leveraging C#, Azure, and modern microservice architectures to deliver high-performing, extensible solutions. These technologies will empower users to simplify complex processes, integrate process insights into their workflows, and identify opportunities to optimize their business operations.
You will foster an environment of growth and collaboration, guiding your engineers as they tackle technical challenges. By mentoring and coaching your team, you will help them excel in their careers while maintaining a high standard of quality and innovation. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of solutions that are reliable, scalable, and able to meet the demanding needs of Celonis users.

The work you’ll do:
- Lead a team of talented engineers in designing and delivering scalable solutions for integrating Process Management into the Celonis Platform.
- Use technical judgment and intuition about customer behavior to determine the best paths forward on the features we have and trade off properties like time to implement, maintainability, scalability, performance, etc.
- Work closely with other engineering teams, x-functional stakeholders, and leads to ensure the development and delivery of impactful product features that drive customer value and shape the overall product strategy
- Manage the performance and support the career development of engineers up to the Staff level
- Build and maintain an engineering culture of trust, ownership, and collaboration within the larger Celonis organization, including providing upward and outward visibility of the team and their work.

- Experience working with technologies like C# and Azure (Java as nice to have) and microservices
- Strong communication skills, allowing you to collaborate smoothly with people across multiple roles & countries
- Knowledge of day-to-day team organization methodologies like agile
- Ability to lead and make decisions to define the road ahead
- Ability to resolve technical conflicts when necessary, fostering a positive environment for escalations
