Position Overview:

The Line Lead, Build role is a front-line supervisor role, responsible for directly managing and developing a team of hourly associates in an Inspection Center to regularly achieve production targets. This role is not visa eligible. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage the movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center safely for repairs, while meeting or exceeding set production and quality goals.
• Meet or exceed inventory production goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of assigned team; identify team’s strengths and weaknesses; determine areas of opportunity and the appropriate steps to improve.
• Engage assigned team, provide appropriate coaching, development and performance management; offer feedback and demonstrate desired skills.  
• Create a work and team environment that inspires positive communication, team cohesion, and adherence to Carvana’s Values.
• Proactively communicate information to team members, providing clear understanding of expectations, performance measures, and goals.
• Prevent and resolve conflict among team members.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Review and approve identified mechanical and physical defects of incoming inventory.
• Lead a team of production associates and partner with the Inspection Center General Manager to repair or reject inventory based on estimated cost of repairs and/or the overall quality of the vehicle.
• Train a team of production associates using Quality Control standards to identify and complete repairs effectively and efficiently the first time, minimizing re-checks and delays in production.

• Conscientiously work in ways that decrease the possibility of injury to yourself or other team members in the shop due to spills or other preventable hazardous conditions.

What the job requires:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience using computers
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Demonstrated functional expertise in one or more areas pertaining to Carvana’s reconditioning process

• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels
• Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.
• Requires use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment.

• Diagnosing and repairing advanced vehicle electrical issues, including work on electric and hybrid vehicles.

Position Overview:

The Line Lead, Cosmetics role is a front-line supervisor role, responsible for directly managing and developing a team of hourly associates in an Inspection Center to regularly achieve production targets. This role is not visa eligible. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage the movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center safely for repairs, while meeting or exceeding set production and quality goals.
• Meet or exceed inventory production goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of assigned team; identify team’s strengths and weaknesses; determine areas of opportunity and the appropriate steps to improve.
• Engage assigned team, provide appropriate coaching, development and performance management; offer feedback and demonstrate desired skills.  
• Create a work and team environment that inspires positive communication, team cohesion, and adherence to Carvana’s Values.
• Proactively communicate information to team members, providing clear understanding of expectations, performance measures, and goals.
• Prevent and resolve conflict among team members.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Review and approve identified mechanical and physical defects of incoming inventory.
• Lead a team of production associates and partner with the Inspection Center General Manager to repair or reject inventory based on estimated cost of repairs and/or the overall quality of the vehicle.
• Train a team of production associates using Quality Control standards to identify and complete repairs effectively and efficiently the first time, minimizing re-checks and delays in production.
• Identify and complete repairs effectively and efficiently the first time, to minimize re-work and delays in production.
• Conscientiously work in ways that decrease the possibility of injury to yourself or other team members in the shop due to spills or other preventable hazardous conditions.
• Effectively manage multiple associates, including ensuring appropriate employee development and performance management.

What the job requires:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience using computers
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Demonstrated functional expertise in one or more areas pertaining to Carvana’s reconditioning process
• Demonstrated understanding of our current reconditioning processes and lean principles
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels
• Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.
• Requires use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment.

Role and Team

• Reporting to the Security Operations Manager, secure all gates, checking all incoming and outgoing vehicles for proper authority to enter or exit. Ensure all personnel entering the facility have proper authority and to secure and monitor entire auction facility after business hours in accordance with corporate and security guidelines policies and procedures. Perform all duties assigned by the Security Operations Manager or designated manager. Must know, practice, and ensure that company policies and procedures and state or federal laws are followed at all times.

Security Guard Specific Responsibilities

1. Provide prompt and courteous service:
2. Demonstrate friendliness and greet every customer as they enter and participate at the sale.
3. Maintain a professional appearance and a neat work environment consistent with the company policy.
4. Make sure customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention for all contacts and transactions.

12. Permit authorized persons to enter property. Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of company property.
13. Practice and promote teamwork at all times. Set a good personal example of attitude and performance.
14. Ensure proper follow-through on all directives, bulletins, schedules and accounting from the Security Operations Manager or designated manager or other corporate sources. Maintain a good flow of communication with other auction personnel.
15. Recommend new customer services and procedures to the General Manager or designated manager.
16. Monitor and control all facility conditions, vehicles, property and equipment within corporate standards for security and safety purposes.
17. Advise Security Operations Manager or designated manager and Maintenance of all breakdowns and maintenance needs immediately. Ensure good routine preventative maintenance.
18. Make sure that area conditions do not threaten employee or customer safety. Respond to and follow proper procedures on employee and customer accidents, injuries and loss or damage to any property. Report all incidents to the Lot Manager immediately. Practice proper loss prevention and reaction procedures. Report all incidents properly and immediately.
19. Account for and identify all keys, codes or other safety or security information.
20. Maintain a current list of emergency and Management phone numbers.

Security Lead – Specific Responsibilities and Skills: in addition to above Security Guard responsibilities and skills

Receive and review reports of all activity:

• Filing of Daily Activity Reports (DAR)
• Special Reports (SR)
• Lost and Found Reports (LFR)
• Security Incident Reports (SIR)

1. Manage time sheets, scheduling of shifts for employees and all related documents.
2. Conduct training for new employees.
3. Attend weekly auction site meetings.
4. Understand all auction procedures and roles – build and maintain relationships with every department within the auction and know their role and purpose.
5. Resolve conflicts and concerns with employees and/or customers.
6. Monitor/Manage cameras and observe footage.
7. Review all worker’s compensation and incident reports.
8. Must be able to communicate to customers in a clear and professional manner regarding regulations, prohibitions, and policies of the company.
9. Help customers location their vehicles on the property.
10. Answer phone calls: directions to auction, location of vehicles, vehicle information, etc
11. Receive vehicles for auction: mark to correct account/customer and guide to proper check in lanes.
12. Release vehicles: ensure correct gate release matches vehicle by verifying the vehicle identification number (VIN), stock number and is authorized to leave the property.
13. Inspect vehicles leaving the property to deter theft.
14. Respond to CCTV (Control Center TV) calls and check reported area and file reports of each call.

Security Guard – Qualifications

• Prefer High School Diploma or GED.
• One (1) year of security experience preferred.
• EMS (Emergency Medical Services) Certification required.
• Must have ability to work various shifts, weekends and/or nights.
• Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle (automatic and standard).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills required.

Security Lead – Qualifications

• A minimum of one (1) to (3) years of customer service experience preferred.
• Strong computer ability with basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good business judgement and discretion to analyze and address opportunities.

About the Role:

• Deliver vehicles straight to customers' doors with our custom car haulers (don't worry - a commercial license is not required to drive the hauler and you will receive ample training)

Role and Team

• Reporting to the Lot Manager or other designated manager, assist with the outside functions to support lot movements and general operations to support auction activities before, during, and after sale day.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assuring vehicle inventory is in the proper designated areas of the lot or shops.  Apply appropriate numbering and tagging for lot and shop identification
• Locate, number and move vehicles to designated area on the Lot
• Confirm vehicle mileage, make year and VIN
• Communicate with shop and operations teams to ensure an efficient flow of inventory from vehicle check in, inspections, shops and auction sale line until vehicle is checked out
• Assist with physical inventory on a periodic basis
• Use electronic devices to scan inventory and record movement of vehicles on property
• Flag vehicles, add final stickers, mark numbers on windshield and place on spot for the sale
• Take photos of vehicles as needed
• Track missing units and assist with locating vehicles for customers
• Use PC to  look up vehicle information and update vehicle data
• May ensure arbitrated units are restocked into inventory and proper announcements are made
• May identify and add/verify vehicle announcements and reports are accurate for pre-sale
• May make basic vehicle diagnostic determinations to determine if a vehicle needs to be moved to the Mechanic Shop
• May operate gas dollies, lock out tools, or jump packs
• May coordinate a sale lane on sale day

Position Overview:

The Line Lead, Cosmetics role is a front-line supervisor role, responsible for directly managing and developing a team of hourly associates in an Inspection Center to regularly achieve production targets. This role is not visa eligible. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage the movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center safely for repairs, while meeting or exceeding set production and quality goals.
• Meet or exceed inventory production goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

We’re looking for Autobody Technicians with a minimum of 1 year of professional experience in wheel/rim repair to join us at Carvana - the fastest-growing used automotive retailer in U.S. history and one of the four fastest companies to make the Fortune 500.

As an Automotive Wheel Repair Technician, you’ll be expected to repair deep wheel damage, use a wheel repair machine, and paint and clear-coat wheels.

• Use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment

We’re looking for automotive mechanics with a minimum of 3 years of professional automotive repair experience to join us at Carvana - the fastest-growing used automotive retailer in U.S. history and one of the four fastest companies to make the Fortune 500.

As an Experienced Auto Technician, you will perform a full range of automotive repairs—from light maintenance to heavy engine work—and diagnostics on our vehicles, including:

• Performing general to complex repairs on all makes and models, ranging from timing belts and suspension systems to heavy engine work.
• Diagnosing and repairing advanced vehicle electrical issues, including work on electric and hybrid vehicles.
• Completing repairs for wheel bearings and axles, as well as vehicle climate control systems including ACs and heater cores.
