HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will be responsible for the implementation and management of design technology processes, standards, and technologies across various projects.
Identify and assist in creating content to enhance our digital asset and detail libraries.
Assist project teams with BIM project execution planning at project kickoff and project milestones.
Advise and help define Level of Development/Detail for deliverables.
Author and implement standard workflows and processes.
Evangelize, educate, and support primary design applications.
Design and deliver educational offerings ranging from essentials to advanced use of digital technologies at CannonDesign.
Support model managers and ensure health of the models by performing regular model audits and providing feedback to design teams.
Consistently strive to improve both the inclusion and use of metadata.
Champion the utilization of data collection and querying methods to enhance design intelligence, optimization, automation, simulation, and subsequent exploration within the field of artificial intelligence.
Lead and/or participate in various Technology related R+D efforts and Special Projects.
May perform other duties as required.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Minimum of 5 years related experience in an AEC industry, including a minimum 3 years of experience in a design technology management, implementation, or a related role required.
Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
Must have a working knowledge of all aspects of professional services from planning and schematic design through project close-out, including design and technical expertise preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, training design and delivery experience.
Strong technical knowledge of model authoring tools like Revit, analysis tools like Insight 360, Dynamo, and review tools like Navisworks, Bluebeam, Revizto, Enscape and other Design Applications.
Knowledge of the Revit API is preferred but not required.

The salary range for this position is $76,800 to $96,000 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances. We have paid time off, flex-time schedules, remote work options and a 401k plan and employee perk programs. ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first-line technical support to end users, and escalating complex problems as needed. You will help administer the technology our designers rely on to develop design solutions for leading health, education and business organizations. This is an IT generalist position, where you will have to know or learn a little bit of everything that happens within the office relative to IT, source answers from vendors and escalate as required within the IT group.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO

Provide end user support for local and remote users. 70% of the responsibilities revolve around level 1, level 2 and level 3 support tickets and troubleshooting.
Beyond end support, responsible for application support, configuration and maintenance of architecture and engineering specific applications and act as an application owner between end users, other IT and application vendors.
Monitor Service Desk for tickets, monitor back up system, provide daily reports, file restores.
Consults users to determine present and future needs.
Identify areas of operation that need upgraded end user equipment.
Monitor system performance, provide security measures, troubleshooting, maintenance.
Set-up, modify user accounts, regulating, monitoring file access to ensure confidentiality, proper use.
Test, evaluate hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability.
Attend vendor training, study journals to keep up with changes in technology.
Maintain needed files by adding and deleting files on the network server and back up files to guarantee their safety in the event of network problems.
Maintain peripherals such as printers that are connected to the network.
Create and modify users and groups in active directory such as logins with user accounts.
May add permissions, modify, delete extensions and mail boxes, phone systems.
Position may require local travel to other sites.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Minimum of 2 years of related IT experience is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred.
Microsoft Windows desktop and Server certifications are preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills and innovative thinking is essential as is the ability to provide technical software, hardware, and network problem resolutions in a user-friendly professional manner.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work well independently, manage multiple technology issues and prioritize deadlines.
Knowledge of MS Windows 7/10/11 desktop, Microsoft Office, and VMWare vSphere required. ITIL knowledge preferred.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will work under the direction of the IT team to provide support with technology that our people rely on to develop design solutions for leading health, education and business organizations.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO

Monitor Helpdesk: receive tickets, escalate tickets as appropriate, work with clients, and close out tickets. Manage end user expectations regarding estimated response times for issue resolution.
Provide end user support (problem-solving, troubleshooting Windows, supporting Microsoft Office issues) for local and remote users.
Prepare, set up, and coordinate employee equipment.
Identify areas of operation that require upgraded equipment; work with System Administrators to schedule and implement upgrades/replacements.
Participate in the testing and evaluation of hardware and software in partnership with IT staff and design technology leadership.
Adapt/modify existing hardware and software to meet specific needs.
Maintain peripherals (i.e. printers).
Travel may be required.
May perform other duties as required.

Must be enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor degree program in Information Technology or related field.
