What is the Student Support Manager role? 

As the Student Support Manager at Brooke East Boston, you work alongside the Principal of Brooke East Boston to build and sustain an exceptional K-8 school experience that provides all students with a rigorous education. You will bear responsibility for ensuring that all students are provided with the appropriate support and guidance needed to thrive, which includes managing services for students with disabilities, Multilingual Learners, and students who are not succeeding academically.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the identification of students across the school who are not thriving academically based on established criteria and working with the leadership team and teachers to develop effective support plans
• Directly manage student support staff including, IEP Team Chairs Related Service Providers
• Ensure that Brooke is in compliance with all special education and 504 requirements (in coordination with the Network Chief of Student Support)
• Assist in state compliance reviews
• Run professional development on all topics related to Student Success

Salary will range from $98K - $144,600 depending upon years of experience. Standard working hours are 7:00 AM–5:00 PM

What is the Student Support Assistant Principal role? 

As the Assistant Principal for Student Support at Brooke East Boston, you work alongside the Principal of Brooke East Boston to build and sustain an exceptional K-8 school experience that provides all students with a rigorous education. Role Overview

Brooke Charter Schools is seeking a Director of the College and Post-Secondary Department, a crucial leadership role responsible for ensuring that all Brooke students are well-prepared for life after high school, whether that means attending college, entering the workforce, or pursuing other post-secondary opportunities. This role requires the ability to collaborate with school leadership to  develop and drive  a research-based comprehensive vision for both 9-12 College counseling as well as the Post secondary alumni program. The Director will manage staff effectively, and drive forward Brooke’s mission. The Director will develop and oversee college readiness programs, and manage a team of five to provide individualized support for all current students 9-12 and Brooke alumni. Additionally, the Director and the team will build strong partnerships with colleges, universities, and employers to create pathways for student success.

Key Responsibilities

College & Career Programming

• Develop and implement a research-based readiness program for grades 9-12.
• Organize college visits, College and Career Day, and financial aid workshops.
• Plan and execute College Signing Day celebration to recognize students' post-secondary commitments.
• Engage families through parent meetings, info sessions, and college and career fair events.

Student Advising & Support

• Manage a caseload of students, providing 1:1 and group counseling on post-secondary pathways.
• Guide students and families through applications and financial aid.
• Track student outcomes and engage alumni in persistence support.

Partnerships & Opportunities

• Build relationships with colleges, trade schools, and industry partners.
• Establish internships, mentorships, and dual enrollment programs.

Scholarship & Financial Aid

• Educate students on FAFSA, scholarships, and funding options.
• Partner with organizations to expand financial aid access.

Leadership & Strategy

• Set and execute a vision aligned with Brooke’s mission.
• Manage staff, budget, Alumni Persistence Fund and data-driven program improvements.

This position reports to the Brooke High School Principal. Salary will range from $112K - $169,000 depending upon years of experience. Standard working hours are 7:00 AM–5:00 PM

• You have  6+ years of experience  in college counseling, student advising, or postsecondary access work.

What is the High School Director of Student Life? 

The Director of Student Life will bear responsibility for developing a strong, positive, achievement-focused  school culture that invests all students in their academic and personal achievement.  This Director will be responsible for community identity formation and celebration through community meeting and for all non-academic programming, including clubs, sports, arts enrichments, and community service.  The Director of Student Life will also manage advisory, including providing advisory vision-setting, professional development, instructional materials, individual advisor support, advisory assignments and managing advisory field trips. The Director of Student Life will also support all discipline issues and will directly manage the Deans of Students and Athletic Director. The position offers a compensation range of $98,000–$166,400, with working hours from 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

School Culture and Community:

• Develop and sustain a strong, positive, achievement-focused, celebratory school culture.
• Prepare for daily community meetings, including managing the student planning committee and ensuring that each meeting is robust, meaningful, and well-planned.
• Align community meetings to advisory content and school calendar.
• Manage our half-day programming

School Discipline:

• Directly manage the school culture team, including the Deans of Students.
• Ensure consistent and effective implementation of school culture and discipline policies and systems (including: SmartPass, detention, in school suspension, out of school suspension, etc).
• Ensure accuracy of data collection and reporting to the state.
• Use data to inform interventions and support continuous improvement for students and staff.
• Develop, implement, and track interventions for students with behavioral challenges, ensuring systems are monitored and progress is supported.

Advisory: 

• Set vision for advisory and ensure all advisories are aligned to it.
• Develop all advisors and provide adequate support such that all advisories are aligned in reaching the school’s advisory vision.  This includes professional development for all advisors and individual coaching of advisors.
• Provide instructional materials for advisory lessons and exercises.
• Arrange advisory retreats and support planning for other advisory activities.

Extra-curricular Activities:

• Manage the Athletic Director
• Coordinate all club offerings
• Track all club, sports, and community service hours and consistently communicate to students their status regarding these requirements
• Meet with students regarding their sports, club, and community service hours and support them in reaching these requirements. Communicate with parents about their students’ progress towards meeting these requirements.  
• Meet with all families of incoming seniors who have not fulfilled their sports/clubs/community service hours to date to develop graduation plans to meet all sports, club, and community services requirements.
• Attend major school events, including dances, prom, graduation, etc.

• You have strong knowledge of Massachusetts discipline laws and regulations.
• You have experience developing systems and managing interventions for students to ensure consistent support and growth.

What is the Network Director of English Language Arts (ELA)? 

Brooke Charter Schools is seeking a Network Director of English Language Arts (ELA) to ensure a high-quality ELA curriculum and effective implementation across campuses and grade levels, aligned to Brooke’s vision and core elements of effective ELA instruction. This fully in-person role reports to the Network Co-Director, has no direct reports, and requires routine travel between campuses, with the expectation of spending approximately one day per week at each of Brooke’s four schools. Standard working hours are 7:00 AM–4:30 PM, and the compensation range for this position is $112,000–$169,000.

Responsibilities

• • Strengthen instructional alignment
    
    • Co-observe one teacher each week with each Assistant Principal to calibrate expectations for ELA instruction and align on feedback practices.
    • Lead a debrief conversation after each observation to refine and reinforce shared understanding of high-quality instruction.
    • Meet with each principal quarterly to review campus strengths and growth areas, grounded in observation trends and data analysis.
  • Coordinate curriculum revision and continuous improvement
    • Lead and coordinate K–8 curriculum revisions, collaborating with teachers across the network to improve materials and ensure high-quality implementation
    • Partner with high school leaders to support a strong department focus and development plan and collaborate with high school leaders in considering semester exams, major course design updates, and new course additions to ensure K–12 curricular alignment and coherence.
    • Oversee planning, administration, and ongoing refinement of network ELA assessment systems.
  • Design and deliver professional development
    
    • Plan, lead, and/or support school leaders to deliver ELA professional development (in-person and/or via Zoom), across campuses and as needs arise.
    • Coordinate new teacher onboarding (NTO) support for ELA, including facilitating sessions when appropriate and assigning session leadership.
