Position Overview
The primary responsibility of an Elementary School Integrated Co-teaching (ICT) Specialist is to cultivate and lead a learning environment where every child feels safe and confident to strive for and meet Brilla’s ambitious targets. The Elementary School ICT Specialist understands, plans, and executes key elements of innovative pedagogy, co-teaching practices, and data-based decision-making through a deep love of learning and commitment to internalizing and teaching rigorous classical content in an inspiring and culturally relevant way. This position requires a classically-minded, positive, flexible, solutions-oriented, organized, and innovative educator who aims to challenge the status quo of the current educational landscape in urban areas. Brilla teachers must have a deep passion for student-engaged learning, a desire to accept, implement, and seek feedback, and a proven ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities while inspiring outstanding achievement in children in a fun and collaborative work environment.

Position Overview
The Social Worker provides direct counseling services to students according to what is mandated on their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Supervised by the Assistant Principal of Student Services, the Social Worker demonstrates high expectations for the achievement and conduct of all students, fostering a safe, joyful, and nurturing learning environment in which students thrive. The Social Worker is responsible for working with students, families, and teachers to provide a social, emotional, holistic approach relating to student achievement and health. The Social Worker collaborates with teachers across all grades to share strategies and to ensure interventions for students on their caseloads are in place at a classroom level. Additionally, the Social Worker implements Tier II at-risk group counseling, as well as Tier III at-risk individual counseling. The Social Worker assists families by connecting them with outside resources when support beyond the school is warranted.

The SLP collaborates with teachers to support high impact language intervention and evaluations. Successful NSLPs consistently help students achieve - collecting, analyzing, and implementing data-based strategies regularly for both the students on their caseload and also students that have been identified as needing additional support. The SLP is in current possession of ASHA Certification and New York State license for Speech-Language Pathology. This position requires a positive, flexible, solutions-oriented, organized, and innovative specialist.

Learning Specialists support every child in the grades they serve and foster deep connections with their colleagues and students. Successful Learning Specialists consistently help students achieve academically and socially: collecting, analyzing, and implementing data-based strategies for both the students on their caseload as well as students that have been identified as needing additional support. The Learning Specialist is in current possession of special education certification.
