Position Overview
The Assistant Principal of Student Services is dedicated to the premise that every student enrolled in a school of the Brilla Schools Network has inestimable dignity and worth and that the life-long path should be open to all. The Assistant Principal of Student Services is responsible for directing and facilitating the campus-based support of diverse learners by ensuring that compliance mandates are met for students receiving specialized services and that effective Tier 2 and Tier 3 instructional practices are executed with quality in all classrooms. The Assistant Principal of Student Services manages and develops the school-based Student Services Team, composed of grade-level Learning Specialists, school Social Workers, Speech Pathologists, and related service providers. The Assistant Principal of Student Services reports to the campus Principal and receives coaching and development from the Elementary Director of Student Services. Reporting to the School Principal and network Director of Student Services, The Assistant Principal of Student Services is directly responsible for implementing Brilla’s Multi-tiered Student Supports framework, ensuring all federal and state compliance regulations are met, creating related service providers’ schedules and communicating regularly with outside agencies, managing direct communication with the Committee for Special Education, and analyzing school-based and student-based data for interventions. With the Instructional Leadership team, the Assistant Principal of Student Services is responsible for the implementation of Brilla’s Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. The Assistant Principal of Student Services is a strategic thinker and team leader, works diligently and proactively to problem-solve collaboratively, and inspires and coaches a team of staff to be high-quality practitioners.

Position Overview
A high-impact Brilla principal brings Brilla Public Charter Schools’ mission to life by executing instructional management systems that drive student achievement in a learning culture that is rigorous and joyful. A Brilla principal is a dynamic leader who inspires through word and action that all students can be successful, mitigates organizational risk, and puts students first. As the academic and cultural leader of the school, each Brilla Principal is responsible for the academic achievement and character formation for their students, fostering and upholding a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes academic excellence, cultivates virtue, and nourishes a sense of belonging for scholars, families, and staff.
Each Brilla Principal co-leads their campus in partnership with a Director of Operations (DOO), sharing a vision for academic success and operational excellence. While the Director of Operations oversees the day-to-day operations of the campus, the Principal is responsible for executing Brilla's vision for teaching and learning, culture, and students' holistic development. Together, each principal and DOO pair ensures that Brilla’s mission is uplifted throughout all aspects of the school.

Position Overview
The Academic Operations Director leads the strategy, systems, and performance of academic operations across the network. The role builds and manages processes that ensure quality, equity, and consistency while supervising team members and using data and feedback to improve outcomes. As a member of the Schools Team, this leader oversees the operational systems—such as timelines, materials, and coordination—that enable strong teaching and learning across campuses. The position collaborates closely with superintendents, operations leaders, student services, and curriculum teams to translate academic priorities into practical systems for schools. The director also ensures compliance with policies and testing requirements while maintaining reliable systems for scheduling, materials delivery, assessments, and educational technology.

Together, the MS AP of STEM and other members of the campus Instructional Leadership Team collaborate to support teachers by reviewing assessment data, identifying instructional strategies to meet Tier 1, 2, & 3 instructional and behavioral needs, guide collaboration among grade-level and content team members, observe classrooms and provide live coaching feedback, and reinforce standards and expectations for instructional excellence.
The AP is a highly motivated collaborator who goes above and beyond prescribed duties in support of the principal, teachers, and their students, while also taking initiative to solve problems and address challenges. A successful AP is positive and flexible in the face of change, a model of Brilla’s Core Virtues, resilient to challenge, and deeply dedicated to the Brilla mission.
