About the Legal & Regulatory Group:  

The Legal & Regulatory Group is responsible for partnering with Bridgewater businesses to protect the legal and regulatory interests of the firm and its clients and managing legal and regulatory risk to ensure that employees act in accordance with the highest legal and ethical standards. Our group maintains in-house expertise in many areas, including corporate, investment management, private funds, intellectual property, employment and commercial law and compliance. The team works closely with a broad range of departments within the firm and manages relationships with external counsel and regulatory consultants.  

About Your Role  

The Compliance Officer will be expected to contribute on day one. Together with other members of the team, the Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Bridgewater’s regulatory obligations. While expected to contribute across all areas of the compliance program, core responsibilities will involve serving as the primary advisory and operational partner to at least two practice areas within Bridgewater’s Compliance Team, which include Client Service and Marketing and Conduct Risk and Control. Specific assignment will depend on the Compliance Team’s needs as well as the Compliance Officer’s aptitude and interest.  

In addition, the Compliance Officer will also be expected to work with the Chief Compliance Officer (“CCO”), Deputy CCO, and other senior leaders on strategic initiatives and essential workstreams. For a high achiever, this strategic work is expected to increase over time and ultimately the scope of the role will be limited only by the abilities and dedication of the person inhabiting it. Potential strategic initiatives include marshalling AI to enhance the Compliance Department’s effectiveness and make existing controls more efficient. 

You will drive the following responsibilities:  

• Advising on regulatory frameworks for where, how, and to whom Bridgewater products and services can be marketed 

• Review of marketing materials and overseeing the use of AI for such processes 

• Management of state lobbyist filings, approvals for outbound gifts and entertainment and political contributions, and bad actor checks. 

• Advising front office staff, including department heads, on regulatory matters  

• Overseeing vendors and consultants with both substantive and operational roles to ensure quality outcomes  

• Navigating and advising on medium level compliance, client service, and investment complexities

The wage range for this role is $160,000-$245,000 inclusive of base salary and discretionary bonus. The expected base salary for this role is between 70-90% of this wage range.

 About Your Role 

• You will operate the systematized investment logic we use to create ideal portfolios for our clients.  
• You will oversee a set of processes that ingests updated market data along with our view from our research department, applies portfolio construction logic, risk controls, and client specific constraints to determine those ideal portfolios. 
• You will oversee our logic for choosing which instruments we want to hold and then deliver the set of trades necessary to implement our portfolios to our trading department. 
• You will regularly communicate your understanding and assessment to a diverse group of people, including senior investment managers, traders, and developers.  
• You will partner with technologists and researchers to constantly improve our processes, focusing on increasing efficiency or the implementation of new logic or portfolios. 

You will drive the following responsibilities: 

• Executing and overseeing the systematized logic we use to generate client portfolios and trades every day 
• Understanding and effectively communicating the state of those portfolios to our senior investment teams and CIOs 
• Working with technologists and researchers to construct new investment implementation systems or overhaul old ones

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support Community operations and programming across the firm. This role is designed for a strong executor who can manage day-to-day team operations and projects, maintain critical systems and data, and provide consistent, high-quality support across a wide range of community initiatives and events.

The Project Coordinator provides consistent operational support across Community team workflows—ensuring information is accurate, processes are followed, and day-to-day execution is reliable. This role supports maintaining a comprehensive view of firmwide community activity, assists with event logistics and execution, and ensures that foundational systems (e.g., calendars, trackers, documentation) are accurate and up to date.

This role will also apply AI and emerging technologies to support engagement tracking, event operations, and reporting within established workflows.

Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously, sound judgment in escalating risks, and a commitment to operating with high standards, transparency, and continuous improvement.

You Will Drive the Following Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Team Operations

• Support and maintain core operational workflows that enable the Community team to run effectively day-to-day.
• Track and process Community expenses, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established processes.
• Maintain the Community Program Tracker, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Maintain Community team distribution lists (DLs) and communication channels (e.g., Slack).
• Manage RSVP tracking across events, ensuring accurate attendance data and reliable records.
• Maintain organized, structured file systems and documentation across platforms.
• Support updates to the Community SharePoint site and Confluence pages to ensure information is current and accessible.
• Manage the Community event calendar, including company-wide invites and scheduling coordination.

Company Calendar & Event Intake Management

• Support maintenance of a comprehensive, up-to-date view of community-related events and programming across the firm.
• Assist with intake review and coordination of new events, ensuring proper documentation and alignment with team processes.
• Identify and flag potential risks across events, including:
• Legal and compliance considerations
• Physical and logistical risks
• Tone and messaging alignment
• Scheduling conflicts
• Internal stakeholder concerns
• Escalate risks clearly and promptly to appropriate stakeholders.
• Support improvements to intake processes, visibility, and coordination across Community programming.

Administrative Event Support

• Provide administrative and operational support for Community events across the full lifecycle.
• Support event planning logistics, materials, and coordination across stakeholders.
• Assist with vendor coordination, onboarding, and communication.
• Support day-to-day execution and on-site logistics as needed.
• Ensure event materials, communications, and trackers are accurate and up-to-date.
• Capture and organize post-event documentation to support repeatability and learning.

Life Events & Milestone Programs

• Support execution of Life Events and Milestone programs across the firm.
• Maintain trackers and documentation to ensure consistent, timely, and accurate delivery.
• Assist with communications and coordination across stakeholders.
• Maintain visibility into program activity and flag gaps, inconsistencies, or risks.

Team-Level Outcomes

• Accurate, complete, and up-to-date community data that supports informed decision-making.
• Reliable execution of Community events and programs within established processes.
• Timely identification and escalation of operational risks and conflicts.

Qualifications

About Your Role

Compensation

The expected annual base salary for this position is $160,000 - $200,000. The total compensation package includes variable compensation in the form of a discretionary target bonus.

Investment Associates at Bridgewater cover a wide range of functions, and most tend to specialize in one or two areas. We need a wide range of people and capabilities to power our investment engine and take on the different responsibilities involved:

• Research the drivers of economies and markets. Build the insights that underly our investment edge and stay on top of a constantly evolving world. Recent top research priorities have included understanding the implications of the shift to the new economic and geopolitical paradigm we call modern mercantilism and the macro implications of transformational advances in artificial intelligence.
• Develop systematic indicators for trading markets. For every insight we learn, we codify it in algorithms that run every day to process vast data on economic conditions and form views on markets. These algorithms represent one of the world’s most advanced and profitable expert system. What can I expect in an Investment Associate summer internship?

Our goal is to provide interns with real and meaningful exposure to a fundamental and systematic investment process. As Investment Associates, we live and breathe markets and want our interns to have the chance to do the same. We hate the concept of “busy work” and try to make the internship as real of a window as possible. From the first week on, you’ll be expected to form your own macroeconomic and market views—including the opportunity to bet with your intern compensation and enter “positions” in actual markets Bridgewater trades, where Bridgewater will take the other side, using our in-house Investor Track Record tool.

The internship is structured around the same components as Bridgewater’s research and investment process—you’ll start by looking out at the world and perceiving the most important dynamics for investors related to a specific economy and market. You’ll then synthesize your key views. Finally, you’ll get exposure to systemization—taking your point-in-time views and working with our investors to translate the core logic into data and mathematical expressions that you can then stress-test through time.

Throughout the internship, you’ll also receive world-class markets and macroeconomic training via an abridged version of our first year Investment Associate class. This will cover the foundational frameworks, introduction to analytical methods we use in our research, and exposure to our technology stack. Our training ecosystem is designed so that anyone willing to put in the work can get the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the internship and get a taste of what it’s like to be a real macro investor.

Compensation

Total compensation for this position is $71,000 for the 8-week internship (less applicable deductions and withholdings), including a sign on bonus. In addition, our compensation package includes housing.

The Security Department’s mission is to protect Bridgewater. We secure the investment departments, which manage assets for global institutional clients, as well as all other business operations. About Your Role

The Project Manager will join the team to provide direct project management while contributing to the shared goals of both that ecosystem and the broader security efforts across BW. This role is critical to driving alignment and execution across our department's initiatives, which are closely tied to the firm’s long-term vision.

This role offers high visibility with senior leadership, partnering with the CSO, CISO, and other Senior Managers, to shape and operationalize multi-year initiatives, identify and engage key cross-functional stakeholders, and build clear paths of influence. The person in this role will collaborate with subject matter experts who require development in execution, as well as play a key role in translating the strategy into action. This includes guiding department level priorities, delivering critical programs, metrics, engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders, and directly managing one or more strategic initiatives or projects. The project manager will report directly to the Manager, PMO within Security.

This person needs to know how to build and how to protect. We’re not looking for someone who reviews architectures from the sideline. We need someone in the arena — writing agents, shipping code, deploying guardrails, and setting the standard for how an entire firm adopts AI securely.

This is a 50/50 role with two equally critical mandates:

PILLAR 1 (50%)  —  AI Thought Leader in Security: Build It

You will be the hands-on AI leader inside the Security Department, a builder who ships. You will design and implement AI agents that modernize security operations in an AI-native way: automating threat detection, vulnerability triage, incident response, compliance monitoring, and developer security tooling. You will set the vision for what a modern, agent-powered security organization looks like and then build it yourself.

• Build Security Operations Agents: Design, develop, and deploy autonomous agents for threat detection, alert triage, vulnerability management, and incident response — to transform the way those teams operate.
• Modernize Workflows AI-Natively: Reimagine existing security processes through the lens of agentic AI. Replace manual runbooks with intelligent agents that reason, act, and escalate. Build agent-powered security copilots for engineering teams that perform real-time code review, suggest secure patterns, and catch vulnerabilities before they ship.
• Own the Security AI Stack: Evaluate, select, and implement the right mix of frameworks, orchestration tools, and infrastructure for the department’s agent platform. You should have strong opinions — backed by hands-on experience — on LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, OpenAI Agents SDK, Google ADK, Semantic Kernel, Dify, n8n, and the broader ecosystem.
• Governance and framework Automation: Build agents that continuously validate configurations, access policies, and data handling against regulatory and internal frameworks of the agents deployed by our investment teams.
• Be the agentic security thought leader: Be the person the department looks to for what’s possible. Stay deeply current on the AI landscape — enterprise and open-source — and translate that knowledge into real capability.

PILLAR 2 (50%)  —  Forward-Deployed AI Security Architect: Protect It

Equally important — if not more important — you will embed directly with Bridgewater’s technology and investment teams as they build and deploy their own AI agents. You are the security expert who sits shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers and researchers, helping them ship agentic workflows that are secure by design. This is not a gate-keeping role. This is a partnership role where you bring deep architectural expertise to the teams building the future of the firm.

• Deep Architecture & Sandboxing: Design secure deployment architectures for AI agents across the firm. Define sandboxing strategies, execution boundaries, network isolation, and blast-radius controls that let teams move fast without exposing the organization to unacceptable risk.
• Identity & Authorization for Agents: Architect identity strategies for a world where agents act on behalf of humans. Define how agents authenticate, what permissions they hold, how credentials are scoped and rotated, and how to enforce least-privilege across multi-agent systems and MCP server integrations.
• AI Supply Chain Security: Own the security posture of the AI supply chain end to end. Evaluate the security of agent frameworks, MCP servers, skills/plugins, model providers, embedding pipelines, vector databases, and every dependency in between. Understand the attack surface of tools like LangGraph, LangFlow, Dify, n8n, Open Interpreter, Claude Code, Cursor, and similar agentic development environments.
• Prompt Injection & Model Manipulation Defense: Be the firm’s leading expert on prompt injection, jailbreaking, data poisoning, indirect injection via tool outputs, and agent manipulation attacks. Design and deploy runtime defenses using tools like NeMo Guardrails, LlamaFirewall, LLM Guard, OpenGuardrails, Guardrails AI, and custom detection layers.
• Runtime Safety & Governance: Build monitoring, kill switches, escalation triggers, and anomaly detection for AI agents in production. Design human-in-the-loop checkpoints calibrated to risk tolerance and action severity. Implement policy-as-code that governs agent behavior, tool access, data exposure, and output validation.
• Secure Agent-to-Agent Communication: Architect trust boundaries and communication protocols for multi-agent systems — ensuring orchestration, tool use, and data sharing follow least-privilege principles and are resilient to injection and manipulation.
• Security Reviews & Red Teaming: Conduct deep-dive security architecture reviews of agentic systems before they go to production. Red-team LLM integrations and agent workflows to find weaknesses before adversaries do.

What We Expect

You need to have a deep understanding and pulse of the AI market — both enterprise and open-source. This space moves weekly. We need someone who’s already in it, not someone planning to catch up.

We expect this person to be fluent across the full AI stack. Not at a surface level — at the level of someone who has built with these tools, broken them, and understands their security implications from the inside. This includes:

AI Foundations & Model Layer

• LLM APIs and SDKs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI, Bedrock, Mistral, Cohere) — authentication, token management, rate limiting, data handling, and model routing.
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines end to end: embedding models, chunking strategies, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, pgvector, Qdrant), retrieval patterns, and the security implications of each.
• Fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and system prompt design — and how each creates or mitigates attack surface.

Agent Frameworks & Orchestration

• Deep, hands-on experience with modern agent frameworks: LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, OpenAI Agents SDK, Google ADK, Semantic Kernel, Pydantic AI, Strands Agents, LlamaIndex, and Agno.

AI Security Tooling & Defense

• Runtime guardrail frameworks: NVIDIA NeMo Guardrails, Meta LlamaFirewall, LLM Guard, OpenGuardrails, Guardrails AI, Rebuff, and custom detection pipelines.
• AI-specific attack vectors: prompt injection (direct and indirect), jailbreaking, data exfiltration via tool use, agent goal hijacking, training data poisoning, model inversion, and supply chain attacks on model weights and plugins.
• AI governance and compliance standards: OWASP Top 10 for LLMs, NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act, ISO 42001 — and practical implementation of these frameworks.
• AI red-teaming tools and methodologies for testing agents, models, and end-to-end agentic workflows in adversarial conditions.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, security engineering or application security with demonstrated impact at a senior or staff level.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience building, deploying, or securing AI/ML systems, including LLM-based applications and agentic workflows.

About the Chief of Staff Role

This is a high-stakes role at the epicenter of one of the world’s largest hedge funds. You will serve as the operational nervous system for a C-Suite executive within the Alpha Engine—the division overseeing our flagship Pure Alpha fund.

The Director of Investor Relations is a key driver of Bridgewater’s investor narrative, serving as the connective tissue between the business, the CFO and Board, and our shareholders. This role is devoted to synthesizing complex financial and business information into clear, credible, and compelling communication for the firm’s most senior internal and external stakeholders. The role will also oversee the  Company’s equity valuation process, driving the day-to-day analysis and conceptual thinking, understanding valuation trends and market comparables, and summarizing results for senior audiences and shareholders. 

Reporting to the Head of Investor Relations, the Director will evolve Investor Relations from a historically operationally focused function into a proactive, narrative-driven capability that shapes how Bridgewater’s performance, strategy, and long-term value creation are understood by shareholders and governance bodies. The role requires strong judgment, exceptional synthesis, strong analytical skills, market intelligence, and comfort operating at the CFO and Board level. 

You will drive the following responsibilities: 

Own and evolve Bridgewater’s investor narrative 

• Serve as the primary architect and steward of the firm’s investor story, ensuring consistency, clarity, and strategic coherence across all shareholder communications. 
• Translate business strategy, performance, and risk into investor-ready messaging that reflects both near-term results and long-term value creation. 
• Proactively identify narrative gaps, emerging investor questions, and areas where messaging must evolve as the firm grows. 

Senior stakeholder and shareholder engagement 

• Act as the senior point of connection between the business and its shareholders, maintaining trusted, long-term relationships grounded in credibility and transparency. 

• Prepare and deliver high-quality, client-facing materials for shareholders, the CFO, and the Board, including quarterly and annual reporting, strategic updates, and ad hoc analyses. 

• Partner closely with the CFO on Board-level reporting and investor communications, exercising sound judgment on framing, emphasis, and disclosure. 

Strategic leadership of the IR function 

• Expand and elevate the scope of Investor Relations beyond historical execution (e.g., distributions, statements, reporting) to include forward-looking strategy, positioning, and insight. Partner well with Equity and Ownership Operations, Corporate Finance, Legal, People, and other teams. 

• Set the agenda and priorities for the IR function as it scales from an individual contributor model to a mature team capability. 

• Establish best practices for synthesis, storytelling, and senior-level communication within the IR team. 

Synthesis, analysis, and decision support 

• Integrate inputs across finance, accounting, tax, FP&A, and the business to produce clear, decision-relevant insights for senior leadership and shareholders. 

• Drive the Company’s equity valuation process in partnership with senior IR leadership, owning the analytical approach and synthesis. 

• Lead the Development of analyses related to valuation, capital structure, performance drivers, and scenario planning, with an emphasis on what matters most to investors. 

• Ensure complex financial information is distilled into concise, structured outputs that support effective governance and decision-making. 

Cross-functional partnership and execution 

• Partner with accounting, FP&A, tax, legal, and business leaders to ensure accuracy, alignment, and consistency across all investor-facing materials. 

• Oversee shareholder-related processes (e.g., earnings, distributions, reporting) at a strategic level, ensuring operational excellence without being consumed by day-to-day execution. 

• Drive continuous improvement and systemization where it improves clarity, efficiency, or investor experience.

About the Team 

This role sits in our Asia Strategies department, whose goal is to continue our growth down the journey of being the premier investment management firm in Asia. This entails developing great investment strategies reflecting our expertise, generating alpha in the markets, researching and publishing our understanding of the macroeconomic environment, and designing solutions to help our clients invest across the region. 

About Your Role  

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join a PM-led pod focused on systematic macro and long/short equity strategies in APAC. This is a hands-on, embedded role working directly with the portfolio manager, quantitative researchers, and quantitative developers in a fast-paced investment environment.

Unlike centralized data platform roles, this position is deeply integrated with the investment process. You will own the end-to-end data lifecycle that powers alpha research, portfolio construction, and live trading – from sourcing and ingestion to profiling, validation, transformation, and delivery into research and production systems. You will collaborate with our quantitative researchers, developers and portfolio managers and have direct impact on the data and systems that drive investment decisions. 

You will drive the following responsibilities:  

• Identify and assess new datasets to identify their merit in our investment process.  

• Build and maintain a catalog of datasets/vendors by attending data conferences, reading whitepapers, and taking introductory calls.  

• Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines supporting systematic macro and long/short equity strategies. 

• Partner closely with researchers and quantitative developers to ensure data is research-ready, well-documented, and reproducible across simulation and live environments. 

• Profile and interrogate datasets to understand distributions, coverage gaps, stability over time, and structural breaks. 

• Implement data quality checks, anomaly detection, and monitoring to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of production datasets. 

• Design and maintain our data ontology and schemas 

• Work across a variety of datasets including traditional datasets (fundamentals, market data, security master, etc.) to large alternative datasets.

Minimum Qualifications 

• 1–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a closely related role, either: embedded with systematic investment teams (hedge fund, asset manager, bank), or in a high-scale, data-intensive technology environment (e.g., consumer, payments, or platform companies). 

• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; experience building production-quality, maintainable data pipelines. 

• Experience working with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses). 

• Familiarity with distributed processing and workflow orchestration (e.g., Spark, Airflow, or equivalents). 

• Proven ability to reason about data correctness, lineage, versioning, and reproducibility in environments where data errors have material downstream impact.

• Demonstrated experience working with high-dimensional, messy, and evolving datasets, including financial market and reference data (e.g., prices, fundamentals, macro, corporate actions), or large-scale behavioral, transactional, or event-driven data with complex schemas and quality challenges. 

• Experience working with datasets spanning multiple geographies, where data sources, standards, and availability vary materially by region. Familiarity with APAC data sets & providers a plus. 

• Experience navigating APAC data realities, including jurisdiction-specific macro definitions, country-specific corporate structures, and uneven disclosure and historical coverage.  

• Familiarity with differences between global and local data sources, including gaps between English-language and local-language

About the Investment Implementation Department  

The Investment Implementation department is a community of diverse investment professionals whose mission is to implement our investment strategies and client portfolios excellently. Our Department is responsible for ensuring the excellent implementation of our systematic investment approach, from raw data to executed trades, with processes and logic that reflect the full richness of our investment insight, executed with a near-zero error rate, and engineered and orchestrated in a way that facilitates oversight and compounding. About the Team 

As part of the research team, the Signal Implementation group is responsible for owning and deeply understanding both the data that flows from the outside world and the logic applied to it within Bridgewater’s systematic trading systems. 

 About Your Role 

As a Data Associate, you will help us achieve our mission by owning and deeply understanding the data and logic used to build Bridgewater’s systematic trading systems. This means understanding the content itself, the process by which the content is updated, validated, and evolved and how this content fits into Bridgewater’s understanding of the world. 

In this role, you will be expected to understand both the current data ecosystem and the needs of investment professionals, with a long-term vision for how our investment data ecosystem should scale and adapt over time. You will drive the following responsibilities: 

• Understanding sets of investment “data concepts” - how outside data is used at Bridgewater from both a conceptual investment and technical construction perspective (e.g., pricing, macroeconomic, fundamentals, alternative data). 
• Validating the accuracy of those data concepts - providing domain expertise in content understanding, especially around market, security master, and time-series data. 
• Accepting and engaging with new data as our systematic investment engine incorporates it - refining and maintaining high standards for data engineering and investment data integrity.

• Working with Bridgewater’s partners in the content supply chain (analytics, engineering, and technology) to address data quality, architectural or logic issues.

Position Requirements

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented, analytical and practical lawyer to join our Investment Management Legal team. A broad background in asset management and investment funds practice is essential, but the right person must also have the interest in and ability to stretch across multiple disciplines, partnering with senior subject-matter experts and outside counsel across a wide variety of legal and regulatory subjects.

The successful candidate will engage in all aspects of our investment management practice spanning fund formation, preparation of offering materials, and negotiation of the full range of client and dealer facing investment agreements. About the Legal & Regulatory Group: 

The Legal & Regulatory Group is responsible for partnering with Bridgewater businesses to protect the legal and regulatory interests of the firm and its clients and managing legal and regulatory risk to ensure that employees act in accordance with the highest legal and ethical standards. About the role: 
The Corporate Legal Operations Associate will provide general administrative and paralegal support to Bridgewater’s Legal team and respond to requests with appropriate action and confidentiality. The Legal and Regulatory team is seeking an Operations Associate to support and partner with our senior counsel on a broad range of functions, including (1) document management and organization; (2) project management and tracking; (3) contract review and drafting; (4) corporate governance assisting with entity annual filings and registrations; and (5) preparation of presentations and communications for internal and external use. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious and able to independently navigate multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 

You will drive the following responsibilities:  

• Interface with various departments to collect information/documents, respond to requests and obtain services on behalf of managers  

• Create, edit and format documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Pro and Litera (compare software) 

• Manage files on internal document management systems, and support knowledge management initiatives (including organizing and maintaining legal resources, templates, and precedent documents for easy access by the team)

About Your Role 

In this role, you will be an integral part of the Data Strategy and Acquisition function within our Investment Implementation group. Operating at the front edge of our Investment Data practice, you will assist, learn, and contribute to the evolution of our Relationship Management, Supplier Knowledge Management, Contract Management, and Service Management administration disciplines. You will engage with investors, associates, engineers, and external vendors and providers to drive strong outside-in and inside-out knowledge, quality management, and business process alignment. 

You will be a central part of our Research and Data Strategy function and immersed in the middle of our flows, investment questions, supplier challenges, matching ideation, internal marketing/advocacy, and service strategy. You will regularly communicate your understanding and assessments to a diverse group of stakeholders, including investment professionals, vendors and service providers, and Management, Compliance, Legal, and Finance. You will partner across the firm and with vendors, collaborating with hundreds of individuals over the course of a year. 

You will drive the following responsibilities: 

• Activating, advocating, executing, and assisting in the systems, sourcing, supply chains, and internal demand we use to provide and maintain inbound fuel and internal investment asks of the practice.  
• Dynamically understanding the world of offerings, known and unknown to Bridgewater, creating potential matches, indications of interest, and bringing structure from the external world into Bridgewater.  
• Understanding and effectively communicating the state of specific pieces and slices of the sourcing portfolio, including market making and matching, as well as knowledge bases of passes, no bids, and deferred opportunities.  
• Assisting in the building, maintenance, and rapid sorting of inbound and run-state assets within the sourcing portfolio.  
• Creating and assisting in initiatives to improve the quality, reliability, and efficiency of the systems you own or are part of.  
• Continuously evaluating and enhancing processes for sourcing, vetting, and delivering content to investment professionals at scale.  
• Advocating with existing and potential vendors to improve the quality of their pitches.

About the Role

The Associate, Public Relations is a member of Bridgewater’s External Affairs & Communications team and plays a critical role within the Press & Media pillar. The role is responsible for helping translate firm priorities and external communications strategy into high-quality execution across media engagements, external messaging, and press operations.

Reporting to the Head of Public Relations and working closely with stakeholders across the firm, this role supports both reactive and proactive media efforts, manages core press operations, and helps ensure Bridgewater’s external communications are accurate, thoughtful, well-coordinated, and aligned with firm priorities. The Associate will be deeply involved in drafting and refining external-facing materials, coordinating media interactions, and supporting employees and senior leaders in high-stakes, fast-moving situations.

The Associate Director plays a pivotal role within the Client Service organization, advancing the firm’s mission to build enduring partnerships with the world’s largest and most sophisticated pools of capital. Sitting at the center of client relationships, this role combines strategic thought partnership, investment fluency, and operational excellence to help clients achieve their objectives through high-quality returns and differentiated insights. In close partnership with Client Advisors, the Associate Director develops a deep understanding of each client’s goals, constraints, and governance structures, translating that insight into engagement strategies that strengthen relationships and drive commercial outcomes.

External Impact

In partnership with the Client Advisor, the Associate Director plays a critical role in advancing and executing client strategy. They build and deepen relationships with key client counterparts, serve as a trusted day-to-day thought partner, and help reinforce the firm’s brand through clear and compelling communication of complex investment strategies. By cultivating strong working relationships and second-level advocacy across client organizations, Associate Directors help sustain and grow mandates while identifying opportunities to expand partnerships in alignment with broader team objectives.

They lead day-to-day management of a client book, quarterback complex portfolio initiatives, and drive cross-functional collaboration to execute against strategic goals. Associate Directors have the following responsibilities

• Represent Bridgewater and our investment strategies directly to clients, in partnership with the Client Advisor, with increasing ownership as investment fluency and content depth grow.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years professional or equivalent experience
• Experience working with institutional clients

• A high degree of proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; general comfort with learning and using new software tools

Physical Requirements

This role will be Westport, CT, based for the first year of training at a minimum and will follow a hybrid schedule of four days per week in the office, with occasional requirement to work out of our NYC office to participate in client engagements. From there, there will be an option to discuss location options that meet business and collaboration needs.

Wage Range

The total compensation range for this position is $350,000 – $650,000. Actual base salary will be dependent on the individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications.  This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation, including but not limited to a cash bonus.

About Your Role 

Client Investment Research Analysts play a vital role in service of Bridgewater’s overall client service strategy across our front office departments – the Alpha Engine, Total Portfolio Strategies, and Client Service. Analysts act as the primary support to Bridgewater’s Strategists, a small group of senior investors appointed by Bridgewater’s co-CIOs to partner directly with our clients on their most important Research priorities. Day-to-day work includes collaborating with Strategists, Client Advisors, asset class teams, and our CIOs to define approaches on how to handle different client-focused research projects and execute on them through research, analysis, and project management, culminating in novel investment insights that informs out clients’ thinking. From their unique position at the heart of Bridgewater’s client-focused research activity, these individuals have an aerial view into our ever-evolving perspectives on world markets, high-impact company-wide projects and our investment philosophy and processes.  

Bridgewater’s market-driven approach to client service requires our Client Investment Research Analysts to continually expand their understanding and knowledge of the markets. Through formal training and informal on-the-job instruction, Client Investment Research Analysts become well-versed in our investment approach, process and different strategies, our book of business, and our production systems.  

Client Investment Research Analysts are embedded across several departments in the Front Office, helping drive critical projects and engagements in our Alpha Engine, Total Portfolio Strategies, and Client Service functions. Roles across departments are focused in the following areas:  

• Within the Alpha Engine, Client Investment Research Analysts work on projects that cover a range of areas, including but not limited to our outlook on markets, our thinking on portfolio construction, and Bridgewater’s investment process and flagship Pure Alpha strategy. 

• Total Portfolio Strategies: Client Investment Research Analysts within Total Portfolio Solutions partner directly with our Pillar Heads and Strategists, a small group of senior investors appointed by Bridgewater’s co-CIOs to partner directly with our clients on their most important Research priorities. Day-to-day work includes collaborating with Pillar Heads, Strategists, Client Advisors, research teams, and our CIOs to define approaches on how to handle different client-focused research projects and execute on them through research, analysis, and project management, culminating in novel investment insights that informs out clients’ thinking.  
• Client Service: The Client Investment Research Analysts in CS act as Bridgewater’s in-house investment advisory arm partnering with Client Advisors to provide clients with tailored insights and advice to address their day-to-day questions about Bridgewater’s strategies, performance, and portfolio positions. 

Successful Client Investment Research Analysts will: 

• Develop a holistic understanding of portfolios and portfolio management principles 
• Understand the depth and breadth of Bridgewater’s market knowledge as well as its pioneering work in institutional asset management and alpha and beta separation 
• Contribute to Bridgewater’s world-class client service strategy through creative thinking about how to generate insights and convey key messages to our clients about our investment philosophy, strategies, performance and outlook in the markets.

The goal of Client Service is to build and grow meaningful relationships with the world’s largest, most sophisticated investors and help clients achieve their goals through high quality return streams and tailored insights. To this end, we deeply understand the global pools of capital, develop strategies to effectively develop relationships, and partner with clients on their most difficult investment and portfolio construction problems. About Your Role

As an Associate, you’ll help the Client Service Department achieve our mission by ensuring clients receive exceptional service and that your team is achieving its strategic goals.  In order to do so, you will be the ‘air traffic controller’ of your team, responsible for a variety of administrative, operational and project management activities, serving around 30 clients. You will help set goals, brainstorm execution, project manage multiple initiatives, coordinate directly with clients and internal stakeholders, be the first point of contact for client requests, and plan meetings, trips and events.

• Distill information and synthesize the key points to the team and other relevant, internal stakeholders

About Your Role  

We are seeking a Quantitative Researcher to join a PM-led pod focused on systematic macro and long/short equity strategies in APAC. You will work alongside the PM in a tight knit and fast paced environment with consistent exposure to a Bridgewater CIO. Your primary focus will be on alpha research with responsibilities along all aspects of the process from idea generation to data discovery, research and analysis, testing, portfolio optimization, and implementation.

• Research & Development - Drive a systematic research process end to end including idea generation, data modeling, research/analysis, implementation, and industrialization.

The goal of the Asia Solutions team is to continue our growth down the journey of being the premier investment management firm in the region. This entails developing great investment strategies reflecting our expertise, generating alpha in the markets, researching and publishing our understanding of the macroeconomic environment, and designing solutions to help our clients invest across the region. 

Bridgewater has a long history as an asset manager in Asia. It started when our founder, Ray Dalio, first visited China in 1984, and we have been managing money for sophisticated institutional investors in the Asia-Pacific region ever since our first Chinese client invested in 1993. Trading Asian markets has always been a core part of our global macro investment strategies, and several Asian economies feature prominently in the research we have published on debt cycles and the changing world order. We opened our first foreign office in China, and in 2018 we launched our first China-focused investment strategy, which has since grown to become the largest wholly foreign-owned private fund in China. 

About Your Role  

As a Research Associate on the Asia Solutions team, you’re on a mission to understand the fundamental drivers of markets and turn that understanding into systematic trading strategies and investment advice for our clients. You’ll help expand our understanding of how economies work and distill that understanding into systematic trading strategies. You’ll be wrestling with questions like: How do economic actors behave and what drives their actions? and How can we systematically monitor and predict their actions?  

Through your focus on China’s onshore equities, you’ll be expected to cultivate a high level of expertise in Asian markets, enriching the team’s knowledge of industry and company fundamentals, staying attuned to regulatory changes, and independently formulating investment ideas within the region.

• Have deep interest and experience in conducting systematic fundamental research focused on Chinese equities and translating key learnings into systematic investment ideas 
• Can produce in-depth research coverage on publicly traded companies within China and Hong Kong, and develop logical, comprehensive frameworks for the on-going assessment of industry and company fundamentals 
• Are excited to help develop alpha strategies within a multi-asset macro portfolio, conducting systematic analyses on fast-moving market actions to deliver strong risk-adjusted returns 
• Can provide perceptions on what is going on in the world, investigate them to discover timeless & universal linkages, and connect those to portfolio investment impact

Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record 
• 2+ years of experience in a relevant field (markets / investing, quantitative analysis, etc) 
• Fluency in Mandarin 
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills; experience working with and analyzing large datasets 
• Strong familiarity with Chinese accounting standards (CAS) and experience in using WIND 
• High integrity and Bridgewater culture fit 

Preferred Requirements 

A high degree of proficiency with Python & Excel; Scala nice to have 

Physical Requirements  

The anticipated onsite requirement for this role is four days per week at our New York City campus.  

Compensation 

The expected annual base salary for this position is $150,000-$300,000. The total compensation package includes variable compensation in the form of a discretionary target bonus.

About Your Role  

We are seeking a Quantitative Developer to join a PM-led pod focused on systematic macro and long/short equity strategies in APAC. This is a hands-on, embedded role, working directly with the portfolio manager and researchers in a tight-knit, fast-paced environment. You will have consistent exposure to senior investment leadership and play a central role in translating research ideas into robust, production-ready, systems.

Unlike high-frequency or execution-driven QD roles, this position emphasizes (1) research enablement (2) model implementation (3) data pipelines (4) portfolio construction (5) oversight. You will sit at the intersection of research, engineering, and portfolio management, with direct ownership over the tools and systems that drive investment decisions. 

You will drive the following responsibilities:  

• Research Enablement & Implementation  

• Partner closely with the PM and researchers to translate alpha ideas into scalable, production-quality models. 

• Maintain and evolve our research & production environments – from signal development to portfolio construction & risk management. 

• Incorporate AI/Machine Learning technologies into the team’s research and investment process. 

• Data & Infrastructure 

• Efficiently engineer and assess datasets for alpha potential. Work across large, unstructured, and alternative datasets relevant to APAC markets.  

• Ensure data quality, reproducibility, and performance across research and live environments 

• Portfolio Construction & Analytics 

• Develop tools to monitor portfolio exposures, risk, performance attribution, and signal behavior. 

• Partner with the PM on discretionary overlays, stress testing, and scenario analysis. 

• Work across trade execution and portfolio implementation teams to manage our portfolios.  

• Collaboration 

• Work across our data engineers, developers, and researchers to evolve our shared research platform and data ecosystem.

Minimum Qualifications 

• 1–4 years of experience in a quantitative development, research engineering, or hybrid QD/QR role at a hedge fund, asset manager, or bank. Experience in systematic equities or macro is a plus. 

• Strong programming skills in Python (experience writing production-quality, maintainable code). 

• Willingness to expand your toolkit to adapt to our Scala driven production stack.  

• Experience designing, documenting, and scaling high-performance systems. 

• Strong desire to work with new development assistant technologies to drive productivity.  

• Experience working with databases and data platforms (SQL; Snowflake or similar) 

• Solid foundation in statistics and applied mathematics, particularly time-series and cross-sectional analysis. Familiarity with factor models, signal pipelines, and portfolio optimization frameworks 

• Experience supporting or implementing systematic investment strategies 

• Experience with trading in Asian markets is preferred including (but not limited to) familiarity with Asia market's distinctive characteristics such as stamp cost, financing, and no short constraints.  

• Comfort and desire to work across research and engineering contexts rather than a narrowly scoped infra role
