Role Purpose
To generate and validate enterprise pipeline within assigned regions through structured prospecting, strategic event activation and disciplined account governance, while contributing to the progression of complex enterprise opportunities.
The role is responsible for securing qualified meetings with priority merchants, maintaining a continuously refreshed enterprise target list, and supporting RFP and presentation preparation. The objective is sustained pipeline strength and improved enterprise conversion performance across priority markets.

Position Overview:
The Commercial Director, Japan will be the senior executive responsible for building, managing, and growing the Boku’s presence in Japan. This individual will oversee commercial growth, strategic partnerships, regulatory compliance, operations, and team leadership. In addition, they will act as will serve as Boku Japan Representative and, when necessary, attend regulatory audits conducted by relevant authorities (e.g., METI), representing the company.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with deep expertise in the Japanese payments ecosystem, strong commercial acumen, and proven experience in leading organizations through market entry, scale-up, and sustained growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic vision with execution excellence.
